Oddball and flag

You have to make flags and oddballs so that you have to actively pick them up. Makes me rage so much when someone just trows an oddball to me and I can't do anything. Same with the flag. Accidently walk over a flag and then it's in my hand and I'm unable to do anything.

That makes is more strategic! and be happy it is like that, used to we would use a strategy that would include parking a vehicle (usually a warthog if not a tank) over our defending flag and it would make it so when you went to hit "X" to pick up the flag you would instead enter the vehicle. You would have to either move the vehicle or blow it up to get to it which bought the defending team time to get to you! BOO YA!

I like these new changes. You can also throw the oddball back.

 

Can you edit these options in custom games?

I don't think you can edit them in custom games, but I think you definitely should be able to. I don't want these changes to go away however, I think it's awesome to grab a sword and the ball, throw someone the ball when I have no shields and lunge at them haha. I would be in support of a hot potato gametype, however.
