DN2012
I was playng flood mode the other day and when i killed a human(as i was a flood) the game said i betrayed him and i was booted and got no credits. How stupid is that? 343 has a lot of work to do to fix matchmaking...
LANCERZzZz
I was playing CTF on Ragnarok and using the mantis to stay back and defend our flag. An enemy came up so I opened up with my machine gun and missiles. For some reason, one of my teammates decided that it would be a great idea to run up and try to melee the guy getting hit with missiles and bullets and wound up getting blown up with him. I was promptly booted for betraying my teammate. Another time was when I was on Complex with a ghost boosting under that little walkway thing and a teammate decided to jump off the roof and land in front of me before I could break. I got booted for that too. I think betrayal booting should just be taken out, and instead a Left 4 Dead-esque vote kicking system should be put in place. Those aren't perfect either, but it's better than giving some kid with a twitchy thumb the magical button to decide whether or not you get however many points you earned that round. Jan
343 unfortunately haven't designed a good game.
DEATHJUDGE 89
I was intentionally betrayed three times by a grenade happy scumbag. I wasn't given the option to boot him. What's funny is that when my own team mate runs in front of me when I fire my sniper rifle or throw a plasma grenade it's ok to boot me for betraying them when it was clearly accidental. It's even more funny that I couldn't boot someone who was intentionally betraying me... Way to go 343. You should had left Halo 4 in the hands of the experts (bungie)... zexi
Guys, you realize this booting problem has been here forever. A game cannot read intentions. In Halo reach, the booting system was flawed. heck, it was even flawed in H3. There's nothing you can really do about it.
DEATHJUDGE 89
You fail to understand the issue. There is no excuse for this crap. People get booted more for accidental betrayals than intentional betrayals. There is no excuse for that. Not allowing someone to boot a player for betrayal is stupid. Booting a player for betrayal should be optional in every gametype involving teams.

TransientHalo
I'm not sure about Halo 4 as I haven't experimented enough with it yet, but in REACH I'm pretty sure they had a 3 strike system. As in, you get two free betrayals and then on the 3rd one it gives the player the option to boot you. The strikes seemed to reset everyday. Typically if I'm wearing my mic and I accidentally betray someone I almost immediately apologize and explain the situation. I've never gotten booted after doing this. **** happens, that's life, get over it and move on. It's not a big deal.

We shouldn't have to be used to this bull****. I didn't play the OTHER games enough to experience the same **** I'm having to put up with now. I payed to enjoy this game.I did not pay to have thay enjoyment taken away by kids who abuse an already broken system.

I only joking about it because this has been a problem since way before 343 took the helm. You are right. It is a gimpy system and I thoroughly agree it needs a rethink.
upton889
I haven't personally experienced the betrayal boot yet but it sounds like things are a little too delicate. There must be another way for 343 to go about this.
FaTaL
I have accidentally betrayed so many damn team mates with grenades, it is not even funny. I have yet to be booted but I play with only friends. Does anyone know how the booting system works as far as judging when to allow a player to boot another? Sometimes it can be done right away and others could take like 4 betrayals before any options to boot are prompted.
Nick Fuller
Everybodies complaints have happened since halo 2. It's not 343i fault. It's the same as bungie...bungie jet disnt make a perfect booting system. I agree it needs fixing but that's Halo for you. Maybe 343i will be able to fix it one day but don't get your hopes high. Bungie had since Halo 2 to resolve and minimize these issues. Obviously it didn't turn out as expected. Oh well no complaints from me
ProudDrunkIrish
I will say the booting system needs work it needs to be consistent more than anything else, i got betrayed by the same guy in BTB 3 times (kept running into our team with vehicles) and I was not the only one yet nobody got the option to boot him, then playing with a friend next round we were in a wraith and he touched off someone (little more) the guy dies and he got booted, that was the first person he had hit (on our team) and yet the option to boot was given... I do not mind the boot option actually think its a good thing, keeps silly kids from ruining the game, but it needs to be something like you have 1 chance then after that the option to boot will be given to any player you betray. warthogger14
I have been betrayed so many times for a weapon or vehicle yet i've only gotten the option about 5 times in my time playing this. I kid you not I was betrayed 5 times and no option. When I betray him ONCE and no other betrayals for weeks and I'm kicked. Someone in that 343 office needs to pick up that Ban Hammer and do something about this.
