Where are my bragging rights...?

So I just finished Halo 4 on Legendary last night, solo.

Woof, what a grind.

All the 'Prometheans' or whatever you want to call them were a lot of fun, but covenant? Good God. Elites are ridiculous. Plasma-pistol = secretly hated best friend.

In any event, after all that toil and strife I load up the x-box live today to play a bit of wargames (why no deathmatch? Seriously? No large-scale deathmatch? Regicide is sort of a deathmatch, but come on.), and check my campaign record to see that shiny 'Legendary' medal, letting folks know I went through all that BS should anyone ever bother to check.

Except it wasn't there.

In-fact, my record states I've only completed a single mission on legendary.

Apparently because I didn't bother to go online while playing the rest of the solo campaign.

Why in the sam-hell would it be essential to play the solo, single-player game while online in order for it to recognize when I go online that I've played the solo, single-player game?! Why no little warning when I started playing offline saying 'Hey, do this now, and it wont count!'?

Boo, folks. Boo.

Bigger question is, why is Xbox Live not signing you in automatically? Anytime someone logs into their Xbox and loads up their profile, Live will sign you into the Live servers so it can sync your player data. So the big question is, why did you play offline in the first place? I'm suspecting there is something not 100% about your xbox....

It's not the xbox's problem, old as she is. Its a matter of my wireless router. Need to do a bit of fiddle-fugging around before I can get the two talking to one another, and didn't see any need to be online in order to play solo-campaign, so I didn't bother. I understand what happened, I just think its dumb as a bag of hammers that campaign accomplishments you've gotten done while offline cant be then communicated to your online profile. Makes no sense, as the game is clearly actively tracking both. It still states on my campaign page I've completed every mission on legendary, I've got the various X-box achievements for getting it done, so what in the world prevents my online profile from recognizing that when I do log in?

Surely there's a lot, if not at least a fair few people out there playing Halo 4 who simply -cant- get on to x-box live yet/right now, for whatever reason. This means that when they do finally manage to get onto x-box live, they too will find their online profile doesn't recognize that they've gotten anything done in the campaign, unless they do it all over again. I'm of the humble opinion that that kind of sucks.

Yeah I see what happened. basically the xbox collects and stores all your data, and then syncs and updates your Waypoint profile to reflect your achievments. The dumb part is, unless those achievments or milestones are completed while connected to Live, it does not give you the credit for them.

I feel your pain for that one my friend. It sucks about the router issue. If your open to it, I would be more than happy to try to help you with it. If you decide to accept the help, just shoot me a PM with info like router model, how many pc's or devices are in the house etc... I'll do my very best to help you out.
