I know im not the first to mention how much of a downer the new forge is, but do 343 think we are happy with the dilluted version of our beloved forge, or will they listen to the complaints and add/change things in the future?

 

Surely it should have been at least as good as it was in reach? As it stands it isnt even as good as halo 3's! I had such high hopes for a forge expansion, especially how everything else is so good in halo 4, 'dissapointed' doesn't even come close to how I feel, so much so I can't be arsed to forge anything!

 

I spent roughly 80+ hours making maps in reach, and now, for me anyway, the magic is gone,.... low/restrictive ceilings/boundaries, no fine tuning, limited custom game options e.g no race!!! WTF!!!!, no elites, no invasion, no new decorative forge pieces e.g. trees? new rocks?, the list goes on....and on!

 

PLEASE 343 DONT LET US LOOSE FAITH, because for some of us, it's already happening....

i hate how i cannot zoom in while forgeing. that is so dumb i zoom a 100 times while building maps in previous halos to see stuff up close while holding an object.

Never been much of a forger. But I gotta say those magnets option saved be from beating my head with a rock. On Reach I'd spend half the time forging and the other half making it even.

Guys, there realy is not need for "Fine tuning" well maybe there is but they have what is called "Magnets" now that will align everything perfectly so you dont get that bumpy feeling. Yeah I do agree that there really needs to be more creative aspects like more scenery a new forgeworld map. AND FOR GOD SAKES NO ******* LIMIT ON OBJECTS! I think if a person is dumb enough to spawn 1000 walls his ass should lag out. But only having 50 of each category is just plain bull****.

ya they added a lot of ****.. but also got ride of a lot of good ****. like being able to zoom in while in monitor mode.

I am just so frustrated right now. I was never really a forger in Halo Reach, but I wanted to get started in Halo 4 because even though I was disappointed that there was no Forge World, I could live with that, especially since they added magnets oh god I <3 343i for adding those. I really wanted to build race tracks, and I watched some tutorials on Youtube before Halo 4 came out and when I found out about the precision editing I shat my pants. FOR 2 YEARS I HAD NO IDEA YOU COULD HOLD DOWN LEFT STICK AND DO THAT!!! I was so hyped! I finally had the tools and knowledge to make a great race track! I went on Halo 4 and immediately went to Forge mode to start up. First I saw there was no Race game mode and I was like, "What the hell?" This made me upset but I could always make a make-shift checkpoint. I started up Forge and went on Ravine. First I noticed the ridiculous budget and item limits. This made me angry because to make a race track you need lots of building blocks, especially if you make a roller-coaster and you need 2x2 flat. This made me angry! I was racking my brain trying to figure out how I could make a good race track with these limitations. Next I noticed how small Ravine actually was. It was big enough for me and my race track but I immediately felt sympathy for thos big Forge builders who make those massive Infection maps and the cities. I decided that I would just have to make my track shorter than I originally intended. I grabbed some 2x2 flats and I almost started to cry when I held down LS and I COULDN'T PRECISION EDIT!!!! My heart was broken. There was no way I could make a smooth race track without precision editing and edit coordinates are bad. PLEASE 343 I BEG OF YOU AND MILLIONS OF OTHER PEOPLE BEG AS WELL FIX FORGE! MAKE A FORGE WORLD MAKE IT SO WE CAN HOLD DOWN LS GET RID OF THE DUMB BUDGET AND GET RID OF ITEM LIMITS AND FOR GOD'S SAKE GIVE US ALL THOSE AMAZING CUSTOM GAME MODES WE HAD IN REACH! You've made an aspiring race track maker very sad, and I'm sure you've made lots of people very sad as well.

ya halo 4 gets so boring after an hour but someone was telling me that its basically a beta and there bringing out big updates in january.. so idk if they fail in jan then its over. they are constantly loosing fans.

 

all they have to do is read what fans are saying.
