FaTaL Posted November 23, 2012 Report Share Posted November 23, 2012 Beam Rifle was a little to easy to use. I think that the Human Sniper would be heavily Outweight if they put the Beam Rifle in. The beam rifle is good as getting off two shots right in a row to help ensure the person you're trying to kill died right away and is unable to get behind cover. Obviously spawning with the Binary Rifle would be completely broken. Maybe if it spawns in the middle of the map... Regardless, it would just ruin snipers because of how easy it is to use. A shot while strafing with the UNSC version will always penetrate the skull, but the others will only remove a shield. The binary has more chance of getting a double or a triple with a well lined up shot, and the beam has no reload capacity and fired expertly, will take out 5-8 targets in a single position. Perhaps a Sniper Slayer variant, in which all guns are available upon spawn, and another mode in which UNSC and Magnum as standard, and the others must be gained via ordinance. The only sniper variant it would work in is a game where everyone gets a binary rifle. A beam rifle can be fired 8 times in (guessing) 10 seconds. The binary rifle has 2 before it has a lengthy reload. AND it shines a big bloody laser across the map to reveal your position when scoped, so against other snipers, perhaps this gun is even UNDERpowered?
