Natsu
This game has been out for only a few weeks and already most people are halfway finished with the full ranking system. If you count all armor specializations then the max rank is 130. So what happens then? I mean, they have map packs planned for throughout the year, but everyone is going to be completely maxed out in the following month or two. I'm almost done with half of my commendations. There's no ranking system for me to work towards a 50 like in Halo 3. There's no huge ranking system like in Halo Reach that took forever to max out. I mean, I like playing the game for fun but it's almost like they want me to go back to Cod or BF because there's just no goals to shoot for aside from padding W/L and K/D. Just think about being SR130 in a few weeks. It really isn't hard at all with double xp and the 5000 point games in spartan ops. Surely they are going to add more ranks for us, right? Spectral Jester
They are working on bringing a 1-50 rank for each playlist so that may help a lot
LiQuid BioniX
I'm guessing that they will increase the cap if many people hit it soon, although I'm only at SR-30. Granted, I don't try and just grind out Spartan Ops with Double XP, so the experience will go much farther for me. I don't like just grinding those missions purely for experience points. Then it becomes a WoW dungeon, and we don't need to travel down that road...
Nick Fuller
Grinding is stupid. For wat reason? No point...I just play competitively and am almost 59. Could careless bout a social rank especially if u play slayer pro/snipers/swat with no custom loadouts hahaha. What I have now is all I really need to dominate players. So y waste time grinding (spartan ops) when you can actually play the game...
Batmans_Dad
I play for competitive and fun with friends but a ranking system would be cool im not like rank hungry but it does make it better...

Don't u have games that you stop playing or maybe pick it back up a few times a year? I do. It's because of replay value. I went 2.5-3 years playing Halo 3 before the game got boring for me. Halo reach went 1-1.5 years before it going dead to me. If halo 4 gets a good competitive system in January my replay value for the game may go back to 2.5-3 yrs before I need a new shooter. Just saying ranks do make a difference if your competitive

And even then, competitive ranking like H3 will be nice, but this unless they change a lot, ranked H4 is going to be more of a headache than anything. I don't know about you but I do pick up games later and play a few games, regardless of if I "level up or not". And I do play H3 from time to time, but it doesn't matter if its ranked or social. Hᴜᴍᴘsᴛʏʟᴇs
Commendations, and of course the CSR being implemented later on. I think they've noticed that the Progression System in H4 is basically a mini-Reach system, so that CSR is dire.
SkItZo1041
I agree. I play for fun, but it's just a lot more fun when you feel like you're accomplishing something.
l Xenoes l
I'll keep playing when I hit the top rank. I don't need to constantly rank up or need to be earning something to wanna play. I was a Brigadier General in Halo 3 for quite a while and I didn't care I just kept playing over and over no matter what even though I wasn't actually earning something.
