SPARTAN-458... Potential Storyline Leads

Fans of DOA will know of SPARTAN-458 who was created for the DOA story. She even has her own entire background story created by Bungie which is almost identical to 117's. My question is this: At what point, if at all, will cheif meet another Spartan II in the Halo storyline?

Weve been told he's the last one left of his kind, but lets be honest he is one bad ass meen mofo! Are we to beleive that the other 32 spartans of his kind were completely wiped out without a trace?

 

Fans of The Hitman movie will recognise the simularities between Hitman and Halo. (Humans taken from a young age and trained to be super killing machines). In Hitman the agents go all out agaisnt each other.

 

I would love Cheif to go agaisnt a whole army of Spartans like himself, alll fighting for their own indivual cause.

 

We have never ever been given any details about the other spartan II's who were lost other than they were lost on Reach. Surely this is too much of an awesome direction for 343 not to take the story?

 

What are your thoughts? Forgive me if i am incorrect on some aspects of the story, i havent read the books. I beleive there is a book set between the Halo1&2 games where cheif revisits reach, is anything more mentioned in this book about the other spartans?

 

I would love for the Final Boss to be a spartan of Johns kind! After all am i right in thinking that the Spartans were not originally created to protect mankind? (As mentioned in the first Halo4 cutscene, what were Hallseys original intentions?)

I've been thinking of something similar:

I hope in halo 5, chief will have to fight a Spartan(IV, since he's on a ship full of them) that's been specially trained to take him out and be his replacement. After all in the beginning of the story of halo 4, Halsey is arguing with some guy(Del Rio?) about her choices that led up to the Spartans being made, when she realizes he wants to replace Chief. I don't think this should be the main focus of the story, but an addition to make it much more exciting. I doubt they'll do the guy who saved the galaxy 2-3 times now so wrong, but it'd be cool

In the books we've been told about the other Spartan-II's and we know there are four Spartan-II alive at the time of Halo 4, Kelly, Fred, Linda, and John. And Bungie said Spartan-458 was non-canon, so she isn't a character in the Halo Universe, she was just created for DOA. The other alive Spartans would never fight John because they were part of his squad Blue Team. And in that book you're talking about, First Strike, Chief does go back to Reach and he finds these few remaining Spartans and brings them to Earth with him. So we do know about the other Spartans and they would never fight against each other.
