fzdw11
Do you think the xbl update from yesterday is causing this Unfortunately I wish that were the case, but this issue has been going on since near release, with people being pushed into the fallback hopper and not coming out of it as quickly as it was intended. My understanding of the issue is this. When Bungie controlled how Halo worked, they dictated to Microsoft what was required to run Matchmaking. When Bungie refused to sign another contract to continue making Halo games, MS turned to their in house developer, 343. Rather than 343 dictating to MS what was required, MS dictated to 343 what they were going to be using. So the system MS decided to use, Windows Azure, is a Cloud based server/storage system, and it was never designed for online gaming, and it was never tested properly for the massive influx of people who would soon play matchmaking, and so it is causing a ton of issues that they are trying to sort out at this time. When everything will be fixed is anybody's guess, unfortunately.
