Primary: Storm Rifle/Suppressor

Secondary: Energy Pistol (for vehicles)

Grenade: Pulse

AA: Hologram

Tactical: Grenadier

Support: Explosives

 

Strategy: This is especially useful in Dominion or King of the Hill style rounds. Basically, use the hologram to confuse enemies for a split-second, then throw pulse grenades to weaken the enemy. On close quarters matches, this almost guarantees kills and allows people to take bases (Bravo on Exile) almost single-handedly. It isn't something you should use for every respawn, but it is good to occasionally thrown in.

 

Personally, I like the feel of the Storm Rifle, and the fact that I usually can get kills with it without the grenades fairly easily. However, the Suppressor (and AR) are equally valid for the playstyle of this build. The Energy Pistol is my default weapon because of the utility against vehicles (and potential to surprise people with a charged shot + melee instant kill). The Boltshot's utility seems to work best with a mid-range or long-range primary weapon, so I wouldn't use it in this build, though either it or the Magnum could be used for headshots.

 

Grenadier is absolutely essential, because it allows you to throw two pulse nades. Otherwise, the effect is diluted and considerably less powerful. I prefer to stack this with Explosives, but that is less essential.

I like to start my games off with this loadout:

 

Prim: DMR

Sec: BoltShot

Nades: Frag

Armor Ability: PV.

Tactical: Mobility

Support: Ammo

 

The bottom line of this package is getting to a power weapon or position quick in the beginning of the match and having the utility and firepower to hold and survey the area with PV. If you choose to take the Power Weapon, Ammo gives you the most out of it and your DMR which will lose ammo quick if your outlive the capacity.

First Post Ever! Yay! ._.

 

Anyways, I've played 4 since the day it came out, and there's really no best loadout. It's not the playlist. It's not the playstyle. It's the map and who you're playing against and a billion other factors... oh my god... but I usually stick with this.

 

Primary- Assault Rifle- You just can't go wrong. You can't. If you can, I'll personally escort you to the nearest mental hospital.

Secondary- Plasma Pistol- I never use a sidearm. Or switch weapons. I dive headlong into whatever pit of demon crap you want me to with no prep. Plasma? To stun junk if I'm feeling special.

Grenadas- Plama or Frag- I switch it up. Frag for that classic bouncing ball of death feeling, Plasma for that classic 'chucking fireballs' feeling.

Armor Ability- Autosentry- It's a distraction. Because even on Slayer, some idiot feels that a slowly firing, halfway accurate Boltshot is more important than that guy with an AR. Who's that guy? Me.

Support- Wheelman- For that vehicular awesomeness.

Tactical- Ordnance Priority- To get a hold on that coveted Incinerator Cannon quicker.

 

Yep...that's my rant. Expect a whole lot more in the future!

Infinity slayer:

DMR, Boltshot, Always

One jetpack with shielding and dexterity frags

One prom vision with ammo and shielding frags

One jetpack with ordnance and shielding frags

Best tac packages are shielding and resupply for infinity slayer, since mobility isn't necessary unless you're on btb and mobility makes people want to sprint more than they should

 

Btb

Light rifle plasma pistol plasma nades ammo mobility jetpack, may switch to one of the dmr loadouts above depending on map size

 

Objective

Br Boltshot shielding regen ammo, ammo is crucial because no personal ordnance on objective so map ordnance is more important

 

Pretty much always dmr Boltshot for smaller maps, dmr magnum for bigger ones since Boltshot is useless at range and magnum is underrated

Should always have a shielding loadout, an ammo loadout, and a dexterity loadout. Shielding and dexterity for general slaying, ammo for ordnance rushes/personal ordnance drops. I like to have an ordnance priority loadout for slayer since its fun to mix things up

 

Mobility is crucial on btb but don't let it control you; people with mobility tend to want to constantly sprint but if you're always sprinting you'll never get first shot and you'll die way more.

 

I generally like frags because they're harder to dodge

 

Jetpack is probably top 2 best armor abilities, thrust is ok for some maps like solace where you can fly across map with the lifts but should always get a couple jetpack loadouts and a prom vision(wetwork sucks and almost nobody would pick stealth over dexterity or ammo and even if they did they still show up on vision)

Love the AR in this game.

 

People like you are the reason Halo 4 is as annoying as it is.

1. the AR could be successfully used by anyone who can run and pull the trigger, where as with Presision weapons like the Br, and DMR they take 5 (or more) very precise shots to take down the enemy.

2. IM surprised youre not using the boltshot as a secondary, as you seem like the camping type with your Invis armor ability.

3. i guarentee you are the guy that stands back and throws grenades all day long dont you.

why do this? there is no point in your post besides that of knocking down another member. just cause he uses invis doesn't give you the right to assume he's a camper, if anything the fact that he uses it with an ar means the opposite. it becomes easier to see the cloaked spartan as you get closer to it, and the ar's effective range is pretty close. the close effective range makes it easy to counter with a precision weapon, just don't get close and you win. so if anything it takes a different skill set to use it correctly. you need to use misdirection to close that gap. don't go in guns blazing. pick your time to attack the enemy group from a different angle, spraying bullets into the mass and throwing grenades

I change mine up often, but my five right now are

 

Carbine, Plasma pistol, plasma grenade, mobility+dexterity

DMR, magnum, plasma grenade, stability+awareness

Storm rifle, magnum, pulse grenades, requisition+ammo

Carbine, AR, plasma grenades, dexterity+firepower

BR, Plasma pistol, wheel man, gunner, plasma grenades

 

All of which use the Regen field. My main one right now being used is storm rifle one, as I tried it tonight and want to get my commendations up from it. Pistol is nice for headshots, rifle (trigger tap) for general use and ammo so you don't run out. Requisition to get better ordnance
