Like a tradiional FFA playlist, Eliminate join in progress after a certain point early in the game, or get rid of it altogether and Implement a ranking system that is visible on the console not just on waypoint, while keeping the progression system in tact for unlocking stuff to keep the people who play the game non stop to feel good about themselves. XP is great but then again this isn't an RPG or are we going to make life altering choices sometime in a DLC? A)kill Grunt B)make love to Grunt C) spend 24 episodes living with a mixed cast of Covy and Promethians while DJ DIDACT tries to makes his dreams come true? But not (only) for being in, but for implementation! In Reach the AA's was diverse and all-out so to speak. They catered for ANY style of play. But in Halo 4 we only got ONE play style catered for regarding perks; the MLG style of play (sprint+DMR/BR style). That's the reason Jetpack is nerfed beyond recognition, that's why AL is gone, camo is nerfed, that's why wall hack is in. All is there to cater this boring Marksman/Warden playstyle of Reach. Twinreaper Posted December 30, 2012 Report Share Posted December 30, 2012 I find it quite funny how some of you claim Halo 2 was "not a Halo" and that it's changes were bad. Halo 2 is was started off Halo into the profitable green-line that has lead us to a 7th installment of the game. The needler in Halo 2 was just as annoying as it has been in every title. The rate of fire and tracking on the needler projectiles has never changed at all. Need to see the weapon data for the tags...I got that. As for the glitches about bounds glitching and super jumping, they were issues with the collision detection due to a not so 100% working modified Havok version 3.15. Those particular glitches were not easily detectable seeing as how they had no real beta process at the time. As for BXR or quad shooting, that was an issue with the codec used to play stored animations. By default animations using a #6 codec in Halo 2 should not have been able to have the animation sequence overidden. But because of a small 16 byte or so oversight, players could skipp it and what we got was the mess of a BR. Seriously dude, read what you wrote. Do you think these types of code bugs are easily fixed? Do you really think core issues with code could ahve been fixed with a patch? If you know anything about the Blam! engine at all, or even bothered to watch the various VidOCS about halo 2, you would know that fixing those things would have required a completely new set of discs to be printed and shipped. Now..on to the whole Halo Reach vs halo 4 aspect. Halo 4 was a failure in my eyes. Does that mean that i don't find a way to enjoy it...no. I have found various ways to enjoy the purchase I made. Does MM bother me at all with the playlists, loadouts, ordinance...not at all. In all the matches I have played, I have yet to be overpowered or spammed by ordinance or the Boltshot. As for MLG catering, no. The loadouts and custom ability perks gives players 6 different ways to boost stats. Jet pack was not really nerfed at all. Yes, you may not be able to use it as long, but it is still effective for it's purpose. Finally, for those who just like to spout off nonsense and call it facts, why don't you do yourself a favor and post up a video or something to prove your supposed facts? Oh that's right...most of you are too cool for school and don't have time to do it blah blah blah. Jetpack in Halo 4 caters the noob usage; jumping up platforms and for sake of lamish mobility use only (i figure this is tops what the typical MLG marksman or Halo3 BR fetishist manage to handle lol) Reach jetpack in the hands of a skilled player was a WEAPON, enabling long almost level flight whilst nade tossing + scoping/no scoping off ops mid flight in any direction. Using it with a man cannon you'd stay up for a week seeking and hitting pray. I think your post is up on the nonsense leaderboard BTW. If your letting a single weapon ruin your experience then I think you might find gaming a bit too much for your tastes in general (just an observation). I certainly wont quit because I run into lag switchers and the odd boltshot user. I say let them do it, I will just play better than them.
