Syko's Memories of the Old Days

I remember when i joined a few months ago, i was fresh faced and starry eyed with a bushy tai..... no, i was a little brat and we all know it XD.

But i changed for you guys, the greats, the legends, the people who made 343icf what it was.. People like Absolute Dog, GSD and Spectral Jester, people like The Director and Vitamin PWN, people who helped me along with anything i needed from them, anything at all, always willing to help me. I am so greatful for all you guys have done for me.

And lets not Forget TWAM, our Admin, the man who brought us all together for the love of Halo and gaming, thank you Twam, you are indeed our leader, and we follow you gladly

And lets not forget those times when you were like "hi" in the shoutbox and i was like " :awesome:" XD

Then there were my friends, the people who kept me coming back, kept me loving this place and everything it has to offer, people like Azaxx, Ryu, Cheeeeeeese XD, fzdw, ZB, Spyro, Princess,Hippie ,Zaguroth and MANY more. You guys are great, and even though some of you are gone my memories will stay.. of the long nights sitting in front of my computer fighting about dogs and cats, about history and battleships and about many other things, but these fights weren't out of anger, but out of love

The countless conversation about how good Halo 4 will be, and how i stumped the Director with what an Anzac Biscuit was (even though he denies it :P ), and all the times we got together for just random chats about nothing, i LOVED them all :)

Those days will always be some of my fondness moments in this community of ours and i have hopefully developed into a lovable community member because of them.

With Halo 4 released and the memberships rising by the day, we have encountered many trolls and bots... but we have also met some people who will become great members of the community, and i hope you guys gather some fond memories like i have in my time here.

343icf too this day is my FAVORITE forum on the entire internet, i know i have taken breaks, but most of those were from technical issues, and i swear i will do my best to stay here this time, and help provide people with ANY help they may need, because even though im only fairly "new" here to our great community, i believe that i have something to offer for all... my good looks and awesomeness ..... naa kidding :P but seriously, i believe i can offer my friendliness to people, to be open for a chat any time im online, and any time you would like someone to listen to you.

Im sure we have MANY more great moments ahead of us in the near and distant future, and i hope many of you stay with us, so i can always sit back and talk to those who have made my forum life great and worth while.

I LOVE YOU ALL

Never Change,Never Regret, NEVER FORGET!!!!

Also post some of your favorite memories if you have any

:)

So many fond memories indeed Syko...

My fondest memories of all would be spending the day with fellow members playing H3 and Reach at the playdates. They were a blast! Just members enjoying the games for what they were!

Members like you...topics like these...are what continue the desire to visit this great community. 343iCF will always be the friendliest place on the net and I am glad to be a part of it!

Well said SykoWolf and thanks!

one of my fondest memories here will always be, the first playdate i participated in with AD, Choot, Donut, and Quilts, so much fun was had, especially with the grenade magnet business lol.

then there were the time when the site was still small and the friends i made in shout at night, so many memories there, and all the countless other memories, there are too many to post. i can't wait to make new memories to add to the collection, especially with all the new members joining the site.

I have a few:

1. When I finally overtook Donut in the shoutbox with shout no. 73380 I think.

2. Racing The Director to 2000 posts, a gap of about 30 separated us.

3. Posing for 3+ hours in the shoutbox by myself, commentating a football match from Australia.

'twas fun times in the shoutbox ^_^

I really started partaking in the forums back in May, oh May. Back then AD had just left, SJ reigned as moderator, and staff was small, but consistent. There were the old members, who had been there for months, and a new wave of members. Life was good, until the end of June hit. Everyone seemed to go in a heartbeat: SJ, Twinreaper, Undead, AT, and so many others at the time. But out of nowhere, AD shows up in a blazing saddle. He tried to hold together the forum as is was crumbling. July was a complete disaster for most of it. I and many people took vacations at the time. Then August came, which began with much festivities. The beginning of August was excellent. Tons of playdates being scheduled and taking place. The forum returned to normalcy. (is a word) Then Fire and Vitamin PWN left. That was a small trip-up on the climb of the forum. The Director and Total soon became mods, and the staff was growing. The forum's momentum continued. Staff vs. Members playdate was awesome and so was the forge contest (cough, cough, AD). September and October was the breath the forum took before the storm. Members started to return, hype for Halo 4 increased.

Then came November 6. It seemed like everyone disappeared and was replaced by thousands of people with problems. For any member that helped redirect and fix problems during that time, thank you. There were very few who stayed and fought the wave, including the newly returned Fire and Vitamin. And here we are now. I have not seen many members for quite some time, am concerned about new forum members, and want to get some playdates going again. Let's get'r done!
