Priority Specialization Problem

Terrible thing happened today.

 

I got my email with my priority specialization code. I went to redeem it, and somehow it was redeemed to another gamertag... not mine. It was an xbox live account I guess I had created long ago with the email address the code was sent to. Now my redeemed code is stuck in the depths of some useless gamertag with no history and no future activity.

 

At my last wit, I ask for suggestions, though I'm quite certain there is nothing I can do. Would be great if an admin could help me out...

I have the same problem. my code was sent to the email address that I don't use for my XBLA, I guess it is linked to a long forgotten account that I never even had live gold on! I assumed since I've only played the game on my gold account that it would redeem to my real account.

 

now my code is redeemed and in limbo on a live silver account that has never touched the Internet. if I knew this would have happened I would have type the code manually on my Xbox and not hit the blasted redeem button on my PC. will I never have these specializations because of this hiccup!?

At least you guys got codes in the first place... Me (and Europeans) get NOTHING,

I ca. Only hope in the next 5 minutes when the challenges and whatnot update, that my specs will magically appear too :(

 

I understand that buying the LE version gave early access, but the whole sending limited codes for each XBL tag is pretty low. this should have been implemented in an update that gives everyone permissions not segregating players by slowly giving more people early access, especially to a feature that they plan on letting everyone have. LE users got it the early-early specs I guess. then again I'm just butthurt about my code getting tangled up and FUBAR'd just like the system they used to implement it.

Essentially the same thing that happened to me. Pretty annoying. I'm SR-41 so I'm only 9 levels away from unlocking all specializations (I have LE), but that means another two weeks or more with my schedule. Seems like they should have had a backup plan for this new system of releasing codes-- also, no support? I asked Xbox LIVE and they said I'd have to hope that 343i would respond on these forums. Very lame.

Now I feel like a total **** because I'm going to use Double XP to get to 50 faster. And I really felt like that was cheating in the first place.

Wow the same thing happened to me. i called xbox live too and they said to contact 343 but 343 has no support? what is this? Can i get a new code or what? and yeah i agree with the bs that 343 did by giving the specializations only to an LE purchaser than to the rest of us 4 weeks later, what is that? dumbest idea ive ever seen. get it together 343, this is ridiculous!!!!!

Same here. Chatted with a microsoft rep, and they said there was nothing that could be done to retrieve it, so I am stuck. She had mentioned that the issue is pretty prevalent and that just maybe if there are enough complaints about it, there may be something done.

 

Has anyone heard any word from 343i rep regarding if they plan on fixing this issue?

Same thing happened to me last night. It was sent to my email address but, when I logged in to redeem the code it was under a different gamertag. So now I can't use the code that they sent me, cause it's on some bullcrap silver account that I never created. Called XBOX Live support for help twice. One rep said that they were sending the codes out for the next 2 days as well and that my other email should recieve a code and if they don't after 2 days I can call back and xbox will help me with it (which might be bull as well cause call centers, if anyone has worked in one, aren't supposed to have the same person call back within 48 hrs). This wont work cause they already sent a code to the email on my account. The second rep said there was nothing that he could do and I would have to come on here to try and contact 343 cause there's no number to contact them at. SO PLEASE 343 LISTEN TO OUR CRIES WE WANT OUR REWARD FOR PLAYING HALO 4 BEFORE DEC. 4TH. :banghead: :help: :P

My issue:

 

I received the email late last night on the email linked to my account

I clicked 'receive gift' and it rerouted me to xbox.com

The code was in the slot, so I naturally clicked 'redeem code'

For some reason, I was automatically logged into the xbox.com website with my old email address (which I still use as my main email)

The code was redeemed to an account I haven't used since 2007

I called xbox.com, and they haven't been able to do anything for me

They reroute me here and 343 saying that xbox.com can't do anything

I'm stuck in limbo, as it seems no one can assist me with my issue

 

 

 

Basically, no one can do anything right now. Play a waiting game until someone contacts us...

Buenas noches. yo hasta orita quiero a un moderador del foro que contesto lo siguiente me acabo. de enterar que las especialiciones se tienen que obtener de via a hotmail y eso no se vale por que a my en mi caso. no me a llegado y voy a reportar eso por que ya espere 2 semanas despues del 16 de noviembre para obtener ese codigo que es antes del 20 no me llego y es injusto la verdad porfavor contestenme esto plis

So from my other reply that I had previously posted, I called Microsoft back after 48 hours and they said that they couldn't help me at all that 343 was handling the issue. He directed me to the waypoint forums which has a thread that an admin monitoring and requires you to post your info for some help or something. I did this a day ago and still haven't heard anything yet, but I encourage all of you to go to the forum and post the info that the admin has requested. Hope this helps if anything it's at least a step in the right direction.

i didnt get a code to my email but i got one on my xbl account i looked at it just to make sure it was it ... i turned my xbx off i signed back on a few hours later my message wasnt there any longer as if some one deleted it im a sr67 i really need that code! 343 needs to answer us im super pissed because i have 19 double xp matches left ! i need this code ! some one please help
