Admiral Ackbar
Now this thread may get heated especially with the spec code being released. But it's been bothering me a lot lately. So please remain respectful to each other. I don't need nor do I want things to get personal. If you don't agree with me or any comments that come after this post, don't get vulgar. Anyway, when I purchase a game whether it be Halo, Mass Effect, or any other game I get the game to have fun. I'll play the game in my free time and what not. I'm not a "serious" gamer anymore. Three years ago that answer would have been different. But even then I still played the game for fun. That being said, I really enjoy playing Halo 4. It's a great game. There's been a lot of complaints about the spec codes. Being stuck at level 70. How does that change the game? Does that really make the game less fun? Eventually you're going to hit that max level. So to me that just doesn't matter. As for the spec codes. When I first bought the game, I didn't even realize there was going to be specializations. So honestly that's like an added bonus in my view. And if that added bonus takes a little longer to be released. I'm ok with that. I've seen people saying that they paid 60 dollars for the spec codes, meaning they only reason they bought the game was to have the specializations? I just don't really know what to think of all this. Personally I'd be fine only having 70 levels and 2 specs. I'd be fine playing if there was only 5 levels and no specs. Because the game is just fun to play. When I started playing Halo, Halo on the original Xbox, there were no levels. You just picked up the game and played. And ultimately that's what makes a game fun. Can I just have fun playing it? When it comes to Halo 4 the answer is yes. Even with the server issues people were experiencing I could play locally or Forge maps. With the spec codes being delayed, I can still play matchmaking and enjoy it. I might be the only one who thinks this. I just wanted to post this. If you disagree I understand. No hard feelings on my part. Just please don't get personal with your responses.

Iɴsɪɢɴɪᴀ
Very well written post and I back all of your points, there really is no need for such an upstart, but we live in a consumer world where people have learned that what the customer wants is always the priority. People are now in the state of mind, (Especially kids) that if they pay for something, they should get exactly what they want when they want, and hell, I bet most of the people who are complaining didn't even pay for the game themselves.... their parents did. Either that or they are just incredibly ignorant and immature people from what I have seen. What is happening with halo four is what I like to call teething problems...... A few problems here and there that were innevitably going to happen, and a helluva lot of crying about it.
GrimmGirl
I for one completely agree with you. I play games for fun, I'm not massively great at them, I can come top get great scores or fail completely but the main purpose for me is to play for fun with my friends having a laugh. Accidentally team killing, or team sticking, having crazy stuff happen that leave you crying with laughter or amazing shots you congratulate your friends on for pulling off. I understand there are some people to whom games mean something else to, of course, and I respect their views but to me Games = Fun (p.s) how waz ma inglish? lol

Harbinger
Couldn't have said it better myself. I also want to add something I like to think about when I think max levels if you don't mind. When I hit max levels on games or even hard to level up thats when I hit custom games get friends together create worthog races, battle maps, griffball, Rollplaying, and many more the possibilities are endless. Just because you hit your max or you can't get your codes theres always more to the game then just matchmaking and Campaign. So lets all get out there and play some Halo 4!
Admiral Ackbar
Exactly. There is so much that the game has to offer besides Matchmaking, Spartan Ops, and even at times the Campaign. Very few other games give you control over your offline and online multiplayer like Halo. You have the Forge to create your own maps. You can edit your game types. So when there are sever issues, or when you get tired of match making. You can hop over to your custom games and viola! A whole new area of the game that is yet unexplored.
LiQuid BioniX
I love this! I could care less if the cap is at 50 or 150. Halo is Halo, and it's always been fun and it still is. I don't want to be rude, and that's not the objective, but for myself I don't understand the people who, once they hit cap, they are "done playing". I've always loved Halo for the gameplay, but also for the social aspect of it. I can understand that when people hit cap that some incentive is gone to play the game. It makes sense, it's just now how I tend to do things. Anyway, this exactly what I've been trying to say to people... I just didn't know how to say it.
Admiral Ackbar
I honestly don't think the fact that you hit the level cap should deter you from the game. It's the same game as before. Just minus getting a new number under your name. I guess I'm just not too concerned by it.

Pointless Kid
People play the game to say hose better and some people don’t care but the people that don’t care die all the time and the people that do have more fun! I haven’t got my specialization yet but if it doesn’t come looks like one more good person gets lost from the game and many more to come.
