Tactics
After going through a number of sources and making sure I understand fully before posting I now understand that in order to get the access to all specialisation codes in the EU you had to pre-order the LE of Halo 4. Now this is all well and good but what about the rest of us? I researched and read a number of topics and posts made by 343i and other sources from halo forums to discover that to gain access to the rest of the specialisation you had to play before 23.59 on the 20th of November. This would then trigger an email to be sent to the email address attached to your online account with a code to unlock them by the 30th of November which then got changed to the 1st of December. All seems ok from here right? Nothing out of the ordinary or unfair? Wrong. Halo 4 Email wrote: ** To receive early access to Specializations, you must purchase Halo 4 Standard Edition and play the game while connected to Xbox LIVE by 11:59:59 P.M. Eastern Time on November 20, 2012. A download code will be sent to the email address associated with your Xbox LIVE account by November 30, 2012; any email returned as nondeliverable will not be re-sent. Limit: one code per gamertag. Xbox LIVE Gold membership required for Halo Infinity Multiplayer (sold separately). Offer available to users 17 years of age and older in the following Xbox LIVE countries: United States, Canada, Chile, Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Korea, Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand, and India. Offer is nontransferable, not redeemable for cash, and cannot be combined with any other rebate or offer. In New Zealand, only adult accounts (18 years of age and older) can download or stream content over Xbox LIVE Marketplace. Taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the recipient. Download charges may apply as set by your ISP. For Xbox LIVE Terms of Use and system requirements, see www.xbox.com/live. Offer provided by: Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052. Notice anything strange here? Europe, Middle East and Africa have been left off of this list while countries such as Singapore, which undoubtedly has a significantly smaller gamer population than the EU have been included. Does this not seem highly unfair to you? Why should so many players be excluded from being able to enjoy the game fully and be forced to buy codes from ebay in order to play the game? I have reached level 70 in less than a month, not only is this ranking system incredibly flawed (too easy to rank up) I have hit my top rank in less than 4 days gametime. The EU, Middle East, Africa and any I may have missed have been sold an incomplete version of the game and I believe this to be truly unfair. I have created this post to act as a petition for those excluded from this offer to be included so we can enjoy the game to its fullest extent. If you agree, please sign. (If I have missed something or have got any facts incorrect, please feel free to post and I will change the OP accordingly.
Sikslik7
Do you understand this happens with European games all the time? Take most European games sold in the US, the rest of the world always gets the game at least a month in advance and gets dlc faster (sometimes by months). I think 343i is trying to minimize problems right now. The Title Update for everyone getting the specializations is coming soon, probably within a month or two. Learn to wait, like the US has to do most often.
Tactics
Your point makes literally zero sense and you have not backed it up with any evidence either. So, what you're actually saying is that everything should be released first in the US and the rest of the world needs to wait? Do me a favour, everything should be fair and equal and the fact that the EU, which has one of the biggest xbox live gaming communities in the world is excluded and expected, as you have so eloquently put it, to basically shut up and wait, is ridiculous. Victory Element
i'm not sure if this is the best place to start a petition. This is only a community forum, if you need to contact 343i directly, i reccomend going to their website at halo.xbox.com
Geoffrey Sims
Regardless what you might think, Tactics, and you can hate on me all you want abou this, 343I is going to do what 343I is going to ddo. You are just going to have to wait on your specialization codes to come through. 343 will eventlally get to your country.
Saint Mudknot
I support this, i feel the LE was the ones who should have been benefited with early access to specializations. This wasnt why i got LE but it was a nice touch. I think by now, and since the big problem with the spec codes, it would be fair to publicly open up specializations to everyone. As a LE purchaser i think my time with the early specializations has been fulfilled to where i feel like i wasnt ripped off and i had them for a long time. 343 should open the flood gates, hell its only US and canada that gets dewxp(double xp) anyway so im all for it
H1gh t0p
Well I agree with the OP, if your going to release a game with FULL availability to one place, it's only fair to have it in another, I live in the UK, we didn't get a code so I ordered one from eBay for about £4 and got it emailed within about 2-3 hours. I'm sorted! But I feel for everyone that isn't
JaymzZeppelin
Disgusting. Not being funny but 343 is compounding their mistake by offering an already over weight country a bonus if they eat doritos and drink mountain dew..... ....this could lead to heart problems and morbid obesity. .....its almost genocide.
