Whats the deal with being shot behind walls?

I noticed that multiple times while playing H4 I've experienced certain deaths that shouldn't be possible... seeing as how im behind a wall. I'm thinking that it's attributed to issues with connectivity..but either way it's frustrating.

 

I feel as if I don't even need to worry about running for cover if the cover isn't accurately displayed. Now in defense of H4, it's not that I'm behind a wall and using PM and just being shot or shotting people; it's always in the same instance. I'm taking cover and at the very last instance I get my respawn screen knowing full well that it wasn't even possible.

I haven't had this problem, though I've had others. I would bet it was a connection issue or just the Halo 4 map design tricking you into thinking you're safe. I've noticed the maps have circular sight lines that keep you from ever really controlling your angles of exposure. Whenever you look one way to fire at someone you almost always open yourself up to fire from at least two other directions, usually with one of those almost directly opposite the direction you're facing. The result is you jump behind cover with two badguys looking right at you and laughing because you think you're safe.

 

I believe it's part of the widespread Call of Duty copy thing. That game is all about sprinting around shooting people and dying as fast as you can, Halo 4's gameplay is designed to do that the more and more you learn about it.

This is what happens when 343 and MS insist on keeping Halo 3 generations behind: IE: no dedicated servers.

Its connection, I have the same issue all the time its like a latent lag, ever notice that the enemy players does not die straight after your kill shot but instead dies just before you fire the next one!! I live with a constant but not game breaking lag in this game, I dare say many more are the same, it always seems to be that second behind all the time, cannot really play swat as a result but in slayer its ok.

 

There is nothing you can do the truth is if the game has you dying then you probably did and due to lag your well planned escape was doomed from the getgo... Bit of a balls but something we have to live with.
