Smaller maps in subsequent packs pls.

Larger maps have their place, don't get me wrong, but many of my fondest memories of the halo multiplayer experience occurred in maps that are 5 or 6 times smaller than some of the halo 4 maps. As halo has evolved so too has the size of the playable space in multiplayer increased. I understand that some of this is an intentional shift away from the more intimate 2v2 split screen experience to the more inclusive 8v8 online experience, and that this shift requires a larger playground - and as I said I'm certainly not knocking big maps. I love vehicular combat as much as the next guy. But I would love a map as small as Longest, or Prisoner or Chill Out and sadly these are seemingly going extinct.

as much as i want smaller maps. i'd like to see more open play spaces similar to haven. most of the halo 4 maps are large maps with small congested areas to fight in. i find myself fighting the levels as much as i fight the opposing team.

That's definitely an issue, especially with Solace, the space between bases is broken up so much it plays like a much larger map than it is - increasing kill times and time between engagements. I think we basically have the same goal. Larger maps and broken up play spaces make for longer games and a turn away from CQC, toward a more deliberate, slow-paced play style. I'd like to see 343 return to halo's roots and open things up AND squeeze it in.

yup i've always been a big fan of fast gameplay and kill times. and small maps across each halo game have always seemed to be the most popular.

I love the maps as of now, but I'd also like to see more Haven sized maps in the packs. I like the mixture right now, but Halo was definitely founded on the idea of the small maps with lots of angles to work.

Smaller maps are history now. With sprint and all of the AA, smaller maps can't really be balanced well.
