Slayer25
I use assault rifles and I never can win a fight against a DMR user. This gun has advantage by far and medium distance and AR just close. What make then?
skummgummigubbe
OFC you must be closer with the AR that's the point with it you cant sniper with it as you can do with the assault rifles in CoD
SatanicBagels
You can actually get some pretty good distance with the AR/Storm Rifle if you are smart about it. *Fire in short controlled bursts *Aim for the TORSO *Use frag grenades to complement it That being said if you find yourself going up against a DMR/BR user then you are likely to die anyway. That's the way it was designed to be. I suggest using the Firepower package and having a AR primary with a DMR/BR secondary. That way your loadout will cover all scenarios.
RedStarRocket91
As SweatyBagels said, just be tactical about it and you'll win every time. Stay out of the open, fight at close ranges and you're pretty much sorted.
Kiing 0f Coffe
Yah, the BR and the DMR were made to be the ROFL stompers, but they're not impossible to beat. Again, you will need to be tactical with full auto guns.
nofatchicks6920
The AR is a close range weapon. Plus, the DMR is very easy to spam with. You have to be careful when taking on DMR users at mid range.
Twisted Oracle
DMR would woop a AR at long and mid range at close range the DMR wont stand a chance
Vendetta
That's why you only use the AR in close range. Use your pistol for long-medium range.
Victory Element
As said above in multiple posts, you should only use the AR in close quarters combat. I personally do not recommend it as a primary in offensive situations. This would include trying to press into the other teams territory or rushing in at an objective. I find the AR most effective in defensive positions or holding key objectives. I would recommend doing this in indoor areas with limited space to primarily "trap"other players. But if you find yourself in a mid range engagement with someone with a DMR, your best chance is to retreat before you take to much damage. if they pursue, you can draw them into a more confined area and better even the odds
OMG Treason
You really have to stick close range, I usually will kill a BR/DMR user close range with the AR. It is a powerhouse in the game you just have to know how to use it.
SkItZo1041
In perfect scenarios, a DMR will still kill an AR user at close range I'm pretty sure..
Slayer25
In perfect scenarios, a DMR will still kill an AR user at close range I'm pretty sure.. But it's a bad thing. if do not like play halo in the DMR way, by far. Then I HAVE to play a way I don't want to be good?
Zuko 'Zarhamee
In perfect scenarios, a DMR will still kill an AR user at close range I'm pretty sure.. In close range, the AR beats pretty much any other loadout weapons, with the exceptions being it's equals, the Storm Rifle and Suppressor.
Cortar
I use assault rifles and I never can win a fight against a DMR user. This gun has advantage by far and medium distance and AR just close. What make then? This isn't COD, the AR isn't supposed to be good. They keep buffing it because but its still pretty crappy and should stay that way. Just grab the DMR/BR/Lightrifle and actually play Halo. Caboose The Ace
kinda the point of ar
DoctorB77
This isn't COD, the AR isn't supposed to be good. They keep buffing it because but its still pretty crappy and should stay that way. Just grab the DMR/BR/Lightrifle and actually play Halo. I actually like using the AR a lot in some CQC maps like Adrift and sometimes Haven. Mostly because I am more strategic in my kills than I am skilled at killing. Nightmarcher001
The Ar is a well based close quarters combat weapon and against a DMR user it depends on what range you are...
PHIL0S0PHY
This is unique compared to the "BR vs DMR" topics lol. I only use AR if I don't have a midrange weapon, so DMR
