Breaking down the type of Forum users that argue balance.

Ok, if you get offended because someone on the internet puts you in a group then don't read this thread. In the comments below, I don't wanna see "I'M TOTALLY NOT LIKE THAT!" No I'm not going to be mentioning names, you know who you are. Ok first we're gonna hit on the majority. The " Butt Hurt Ones". These include the people with five posts for the first day and then never post again because they are done complaining. These include quotes like " TAKE THAT **** DMR OUT OF THE GOSH DARN GAME! OMG I ONLY WANT THE BR IN THIS GAME! THE GAME SUCKS CAUSE OF THE DMR!" I agree the DMR is broken but you can't take it out of the game.

The "Butt Hurt Ones" Normally get mad cause they get killed by the gun a few times in a single game then come on to the forums to complain about that gun. Now, lets hit the "Purists" these are the people who wants halo 3 remakes every time a halo game comes out. Halo 3 is great I assure you but we would REALLY be copying COD if we made the same game over and over and over. The game has evolved, Halo 4 shouldn't be any of the other halo games, it should be Halo 4. Purist quotes a lot of the times are the following, "Armour abilities shouldn't be in the game OMG! Why are there perks!? Why are there FREAGEN LOAD OUTS! WE SHOULD ONLY START WITH AN ASSAULT RIFLE AND A PISTOL OMG!" As you can tell, dealing with Purists is annoying, again, you know who you are.

Now we have 343s personal shields. The " Perfectionists". These guys think everything in all of Halo 4 is 100% perfect. These commonly include the people who like the DMR and the Boltshot even though evidence supports they are both OP. I'm not going to bring the argument here and you guys won't either. There are already other forums burning with hatred towards each other. I'm sure someone reading this is probably like " OMG YOUR BEING SO MEAN PUTTING US IN GROUPS THAT SOUND BAD!" I remember lots of Perfectionist forums calling the others names like " The Nerf Squad" And making us all sound like dirty devil people who have no idea what they are talking about. Again, I'm insulting all of the groups, even the one I fall under. Here are some Perfectionist quotes " ADAPT YOU IDIOTS OMG THE BOLTSHOT HAS LIMITED RANGE SO JUST FREAKEN ADAPT OMFG THE DMR DESERVES TO BE BETTER EVEN THOUGH THE LIGHTRIFLE HAS LESS AIM ASSIST BUT THE DMR IS STILL BETTER!"

 

The next group are the ones that put reason into there posts. Show some respect to this group, it's hard to get in here. Of course, I view myself as right and only trying to balance the game, but I could be wrong and I (you guys also) am too stubborn to admit it. There are some people in this group, so show your respect.

What about the people that think the DMR is OP but the boltshot is not? Because I don't think the Boltshot is OP and I am certainly not a 343 protector.

 

But you are definitely right about these two groups. I feel like 343 industries could make Halo 5 a direct port of the first Mario and some people would tell you to adapt. lol.

I always think to myself in my free time "I should be doing something productive orur something that entertains me". arguing is neither of the two, and I often wonder why people use their free time to fight with others when they could be doing something better. It has no logic behind it, but certain people find their opinion to be better than everyone else's, so they rub it in their faces and seem to get pleasure out of it.....

Suppose people are well in their right to voice their frustrations I actually like the game only issue I've had is in the specialisation codes not being distributed fairly. Sorted now thanks too EBay and three quid, I don't see the point in kicking off on a community forum its the equivalent to shouting at a wall really if people truly hated the game they would just stop playing frustrations about weapon balance is pointless the game is balanced if people don't like getting killed by dmrs don't run out infront of them.. or be good that's another alternative.

DMR- Nothing wrong with it, yes it does seem a little OP at times but it fills the role of a DMR, just like the BR, Carbine, AR, and LR fit certain roles

 

Boltshot- Its a shotgun/pistol it can be charged to one hit someone at close range. But other than that the weapons is as useful as a plasma pistol when i comes to shooting something, i suggest a nerf on range

 

Playlist- I think 343i needs to add more playlist, it would add much more thinks to do when you not in a party

 

Spartan Ops- Its not cheating it was added in the game on purpose

 

Spec Codes- 343i messed up but they are working on getting the codes to people over the weekend 12-14 to 12-17

 

These is common things i see and this is my input on them, all in all i think 343 made a game just as good as bungie could

I want more small maps like lockout, the cage, gaurdian, beaver creek, construct, etc. They don't neccessarily have to be remakes but haven, abandon, and adrift just play weird. Solice is ok, but that is litterally all we have. I'm so bored already.

 

They gave us three good sized forge maps and didn't even really make anything on them for us, and any they did, aren't in a play list. Whats up with that? People could really utilize this and get us a good spectrum of maps that play well.

Secondly, it makes you look like you can't make a coherent point when you make an argument (the evidence suggests x is OP) then say you're not going to 'bring the argument' immediately afterwards. As a general rule suggesting that 'evidence' supports your point is a terrible debating technique if there isn't compelling and widely accepted evidence.

It may have escaped your attention, perhaps you should try reading it again, but I never debated your opinion. I pointed out that it is naive to start an argument, then say you don't want to see an argument immediately afterwards and then be surprised when you've created one.

This game can't decide which foot to stand on. They did it like a half-assed Halo3 and made the ordonance, optional weapon loadouts, and bleaked perks just to piss you off while trying to play Halo 3. At least Bungie went all-in a la Halo style implementing perks. This game is like a crouch-camper. A bumhole.
