Will a true ranking system ever come back to Halo games?

First time poster.

I really miss the ranking system in Halo 2. Sure, there were some boosters and cheaters, but for the most part, you could tell tell how good a person was at the game by their rank.

I was a very good player, but I found it impossible to rank up past level 32/33 without going into matchmaking with a team mate or team mates.

I think the ranking system recently has been completely ridiculous. How are guests allowed in Team Slayer Pro?

I went into one game by myself, and I was on a team with this noob and his guest and a lower level person. And we were against an immense team of players that annihilated our team.

I got 14 kills, but every time I out-DMR'd one of my opponents, another one would come along quickly to finish me off. I got 14 kills, and my team mates got 4 kills between the 3 of them!!!

This is ridiculous.

I know the Halo 2 ranking system had flaws, but it's 2012. Can't we implement a REAL ranking system and also deal with boosters and cheaters?

The new idea of "personal performance" doesn't really work, unless you're playing in a game type like Rumble Pit. Plus it stops people from working as a team mate. No one goes into a team game nowadays and cares for his team mates, and in Halo 2 that was not the case.

In Halo 2, in game chat was far more common and people looked out for their team mates, as it was the overall team score that mattered, not the individual's score.
