36-2071 Pragmatic Avarice
This man is disgusting, if any of you actually watched the terminals. It's far more likely he has an influence to a character introduced much earlier on (current human empire) in Halo. Post your opinions. Zuko 'Zarhamee
I see nothing disgusting about him or his actions. He attempted to stop the spread of the Flood by glassing any planet that they were found on. It was no worse than what the Forerunners did with the Halo rings. 36-2071 Pragmatic Avarice
Both the races' superior in command had done horrible things, the human faction had otherwise committed a bizarre act of selfishness during the war. I'm not gonna spoil what Forerunners did billions of years ago. But someone in the current empire has a connection to Forthencho even if it may be an ambiguous one. Sierra1117
Forthenco did what he had to to prevent the flood from spreading. So no. He isn't disgusting
DoctorB77
Glassing the planet and destroying the flood and organisms on it is not the disgusting part. The disgust depends on his actions and feelings after he did these things. Even the most powerful people would feel guilt after destroying an entire race. If he feels nothing then he is disgusting. I do not know much about it, could someone supply more information in a spoiler for me to analyze?

He shouldn't feel guilty for doing the right thing and fighting the Flood.

You just destroyed the earth to prevent the flood from spreading. Your family and everyone you ever knew all suffered a painful death. Millions have died and you are the cause of it. Regardless of the reason if you do not feel some guilt or sorrow from performing this action then you are a heartless person. Then in my opinion are disgusting in nature. 36-2071 Pragmatic Avarice
Humans were at a technological peak at that point in Prehistory. Yprin wasn't the best leader, but she had the idea of how easy this bullet could have been dodged. Now, who in the current human empire can we expect to have any posthumous connections to Forthencho? EDIT: I'm pretty sure he wanted to go there with the Flood, use it as an asset for war... Which defies all understanding of why the Flood really exist. I would feel glad because that'd be a better way to go then to become infected by the flood. He had every right not to feel recourse because he was essentially cleansing the galaxy and protecting, no matter the cost. I can see him as a hero because it must've been tough for him to kill all those people. And to the OP, the terminals never had him describe how he felt about grassing the planets, and in the one scene where we see him give the order, he says "you know we have to" regretfully. So I think he did feel bad about, and saved the galaxy, or at least delayed its doom.
