Harbinger
I would install disk 1 onto your hard drive. Also is it the system or the Power Brick?
Taffbag
Its the system. It sounds like its going into overspin lol . how do I install D1
Harbinger
On the dashboard go over the spot to click A to play disc instead near it it should say click X for game details then click the install option then choose hard drive.

Admiral Ackbar
What is your box sitting on? It could be overheating. Depending on the surface it's resting on.
Taffbag
Its sitting on top of my tv unit with plenty of vent room. As I was doing the install last night it got even louder and scratched the disk (no more campaign for me)
Twisted Oracle
Your xbox couldnt handle the amount of power it took to run halo 4, this has happened to some of the people on my friends list All i can say is upgrade or risk damaging your xbox and disc
SykoWolf
Best bet is to buy a new xbox or a cooling system for it. I have the old Gen 1 Xbox and it works fine with most things, but i have also got a newer Slim Xbox that i play on aswell.
Hippie
I have the same problem with Halo 3. I wouldn't recommend getting a cooling system for it though. All my friends that got a cooling system, Their Xbox'x fried. I'm not sure why. But what xbox are you playing on? If its the first 360 find a little fan to put about a foot behind it. If its the slim I'm sorry but I have no idea to help with it.
Taffbag
All I know is that it was given to me second hand and its got a chrome face to the tray lol . so havent got a clue on age ect
D-38 Boss
Some of the older Xbox's tend to get very loud, it's usually not a problem, but if it's louder than usual it may be the cooling fan is starting to break.
Anatamize
Your xbox is not properly cooling itself down. It overheats and the xbox makes this sound often if it is overworking yourself. Halo 4 is a big game, and requires 2 disks and a faster processor, if you have an old xbox this may be the cause.
Taffbag
Thanks all for the replies time for a new xb then I think
Tommy
Halo games are the hardest games to run on the xbox.(they even use them to test the Xboxes at Gamestop) You're probably just hearing your xbox doing some serious hard labor
SuperIntendant
I find that my slim struggles a lot playing newer games, I think it's just down to the fact that Microsoft still has us running 8 year old hardware with brand new software. In any case, it shouldn't be anything to worry about.
