First off I'd like to say thankyou for removing bloom on the DMR. Whether or not you remove it from other weapons isn't that important to me. 343 Seem to be making steps in the right direction, now please make one of the last steps to gaining the fans respect and remove armor lock. i think armor lock is fine the way 343 has it now. when the plarer takes damage in armor lock, the duration of the lock goes down dramaticly.

no, if they removed armor lock from reach it wouldn't be reach anymore. armor lock is perfect the way it is and only scrubs that don't know how to use it want it removed. you may think your pro because you use sprint but really armor lock takes strategy and planning. i hate people that complain because they arent skillfull enough to use a certain aa

I agree armor lock does nothing but save the noobs and their friends from dying. If u think armor lock is skill then why wasnt it in halo 1 - halo 3 it's nothing but a life saver. Ppl rely on it to save them from dying.

So I guess none of the other armour abilities, nor the weapons introduced in Reach take any skill as well because they weren't in Halo 1 - 3? It wasn't in the previous games because maybe they hadn't thought of the idea yet. They also might not have been able to implement it in previous games. Armour lock hardly saves someone from dying. If you can't defeat an armour locker, it's your own fault. Armour lock can and has been used in skillful ways.

I've seen some pretty good use from people with armour lock, i once had a rocket i fired sent right back at me, i called him every name under the sun, but i had tocommend his superb timing and use of it. I once used it at the top of the red lift on swordbase when i heard a guy come up, released it as he got to me and beat him down before he even touched the floor, it was a cheap kill in a way but it was perfectly valid, i wasn't using up the whole thing praying someone would run along and save me, so in other words, used in a strategic way it can be absolutely brilliant, but used by the wrong person and you could find yourself waiting till its used up before finishing the person off.

armor lock means more 5 year olds postponing their inebidible death. it is the most frustrating thing to get armor locked right when mr dead is about to rip there head off. i actually think its for people who cant play halo. if you were to type the number of people who hate armor lock, you would get rheumatoid arthritis from typing so much.

I dont see the problem you noobs have with bloom....you want to not have to keep track of your guns recoil? whats next you ganna remove recoil? the dmr bloom is fine and it was worse in the beta yet still fine. i enjoyed it in the beta and in the final release they tweaked it so that you can fire much faster. i dont see why you complain, just because you lack the skill to time your shots.

 

if you want to spam the trigger them go play call of duty. halo is a hardcore game like counter strike. and hardcore games have bloom. in real life if you spam the trigger you wont hit crap...yet in reach if you spam the trigger even with bloom you can still hit stuff decently because you are a spartan. if you hate bloom so much why dont you try crouching. it makes it easier to hit people. they shouldn't remove bloom just for the noobs who cant aim or time their shots.

 

I dont even notice the bloom because i am synched with my dmr. if you remove bloom then the dmr is broken. the battle rifle was origionally going to be semi auto like the dmr but they had to make it 3 shot burst because people would just spam the trigger and get kills in under two seconds. It was so overpowered they considered removing the BR completly, but by making it 3 round burst you had to wait before fireing another burst. the bloom fixed that problem in the same way. sure you can spam the trigger but it is not overpowered because you wont hit anything. Personally i dont want to get killed in 5 rapid shots from across the map and i dont think you do either.

 

Bloom keeps the DMR from being a super overpowered spawn killing machine. Please 343 keep the bloom in the game. its what bungie would have wanted.

Bloom is not gone it was just put back behind the blinds. I say blinds because it will be "adjustable" as in you adjust what you see (the mechanics of it are still there...

Wtf, Halo isnt real life, that is a really stupid argument.. It's all about gameplay, bloom doesn't favor good gameplay, it introduces luck to a competitive game. If everyone would pace their shots, it wouldn't be a problem, but they don't, there are so many people that spam and when they have host, their shots tend to hit more often then people off host. And apart from that, being able to spam your shots and get a lucky kill because you get a headshot while aiming at your oponents toes, that is not how competitive play that promotes skill should be.. Bloom works fine in CS, not in halo. It adds luck and takes away skill, it's a fact.

 

And Armor lock is just annoying, it slows down gameplay... But the tweaking 343 is getting done should probably make it alot better:)
