TheNasalKnight
At the end of the game, as we saw Master Chief walking slow-mo looking like a baws, the Didact was talking. I'm too lazy to write the speech down, but everyone who completed the game should know it. So, what do you think he means?
Vaulting♥Frog
I honestly dont think it means anything. Probably just the voice they chose to do the end speech thats all.
Guthred Wita
Some have stated that this speech took place during a council, where the Didact was being held and questioned after his actions of composing Humans or retaliating against them in some way... or at least something like that... I'm not so sure though.
Harbinger
It was the Didact's trial after Composing the humans and trying to eradicate the race fully. After the trial he was imprisoned and the Master Chief released him. At least thats what I got out of it.

WonderWombat
I don't think it is any event, just an epilogue of what is to come.
medcsu
This does raise a good point. He basically was kicked off the ship and drifted into Earths orbit. It wouldnt be beyond reason he was captured by the UNSC.

36-2071 Pragmatic Avarice
I think the Didact's rage he felt during exile is matched by his defeat stemming from humanity. Not just the chief, because he symbolizes humanity as a whole. NOTE: By 'Whole' I mean of what he describes them as.
medcsu
He fell into a slip space portal, so he is wherever that leads to. That doesnt really make much sense. Why would a slipspace portal even be open at that time considering his ship/Composer was stationed over and attempting to compose Earth. There really would be no reason for a portal to be open. Did I miss something in the game where they said he fell into one or are you assuming?

I was confused there because it didn't really seem necesarry for the Didact to even have an active portal up. This does raise another question, how did the Didact survive falling into that portal. His armor must be astounding to say the least and be rated for (as MC would say) slipspace travel. Begs the question (off topic) if he would next go to a non inhabited Halo ring and attempt to set them all off. I say this because you really wouldnt think he would have many military pieces at his disposal.

Did I miss something in the game where they said he fell into one or are you assuming? You know when you go on the mega grav-lift thing that brings you to the Didact. Cortana mentions that a large slip space rupture is opening up under the Composer. Ah ok thank you. New Phoenix would probably have a huge population considering it is 1.5 million today. So I'm thinking that through the combined efforts of the covenant and the Didact a giant Promethean army would be made, and seeing how the humans perform, it would only be logical to design new forms of Prometheans to combat them.
