Popular Post SatanicBagels
AS OF 1/2/2013 I WILL BE EDITING GOOD POSTS FROM THE THREAD INTO THIS ONE!!! LOOK BELOW TO SEE SOME OF THE BEST IDEAS FROM THE COMMUNITY!!! Check out this thread for some pretty interesting ideas and suggestions: http://www.343industries.org/forum/topic/26508-elites-odsts-warfronts-and-other-ideas/ Here's what I would like for Halo 5. Please reply and leave feedback, criticism etc.!Weapons SMG. That thing was awesome, and a good alternative to the AR. It had a more rapid ROF and a larger clip size, but was weaker, and had a stronger kickback. So the two handheld machine guns were actually different, as opposed to the AR and the SAW that we get in Halo 4. Brute shot. A great weapon against light vehicles like Ghosts, and good for countering n00bs that camp with shotguns. Pulse turret. Basically a Promethean counterpart to the mounted machinegun and plasma turret. Not sure if it appears in multiplayer, but it does in Campaign and Spartan Ops for Halo 4. You know, the white orb that charges up and then fires a continuous beam? Vehicles Shadow. Not sure if many of us remember Shadows, but you fought several of them in the highway tunnel in Halo 2. They're large, dark purple, transport Ghosts, and have a plasma turret on top. Having those back in Halo 5 would be awesome, at least at some point in the Campaign on your side. Locust. Scarabs, I believe, are too powerful to make driveable. However being able to drive a locust would be a good compromise. I'll bet it would make a good counterpart to the Mantis. Seraph*. These are pretty tough opponents in Halo Reach, and would be pretty good for use in space maps. *See the Maps section in my next post. I'd like some space battle maps, and I don't mean on space stations, I mean actually fighting the other team in outer space. Star Wars Battlefront has this, and it would be great to see it in Halo as well.Playable Characters The Arbiter (Thel Vadam). It was great playing as him in Halo 2. Maybe Halo 5 levels could alternate between John and Thel in a similar way. Other elites (in multiplayer). No elites in Halo 4 multiplayer? Really? Brutes, Hunters, and Prometheans (in multiplayer). Friendly NPCs Marines and ODSTs. They may not be the best allies of all, but they're still fun to have around. Also, I'd like to see the return of large squadrons, like the ones you see in Halo Reach and CE. Spartans. I'd like the return of significant Spartan characters, like in Halo: Reach. ELITES AND GRUNTS!!! They were all-round great allies in Halo 2 and 3, and WE ALL WANT THEM BACK!!! PLEASE!!!! Hunters. Putting too many in would probably make the game too easy, but a few here and there would be cool. Sentinels. They never attacked you in Halo 4, but AFAIK, they didn't fight alongside you, either. It would be great to have them fighting with you again. Hostile NPCs Covenant. I'd like most of the elites and grunts to be on your side this time, however. Flood. They are absolutely amazing enemies, add an eerie feel to the game, and fighting them is a lot of fun. Prometheans. Once again, they're epic enemies, and present a real challenge. Especially the Watchers. I'd love to see them return, and see how they deal with the Flood. Maybe a few Brute terrorists. Ok so my idea just a bit more developed:I have not considered this for campaign. I was thinking more of a seperate section for these fights kind of like Spartan Ops. But I suppose it could be fitted in some how (though campaigns are scripted in their results). What I was thinking of was a global fight over Requiem between the UNSC, Storm Covenant and the Prometheans. There would be individual battle areas that you could choose from. Battle zones if you will. Each contains different maps and challenges to over come. Some times having the UNSC against just the Covenant or the Prometheans and others where its the UNSC vs everybody at the same time. Those are determined by player success in previous games. Each battle zone has a control percentage. The higher the percentage the UNSC has the better weapons and allies you will have within the battle itself. The lower (and it lowers at an increased rate when more people are playing) it is the worse off you start in the fight.Controlling particular areas allows the UNSC special privilages such as unique weapons and or armor perks. With in each battle there will be multiple objectives that come up at once. Examples:Battle 1:Take hills 1-3 while defending your own static base. Also secure Forerunner cargo for transport back to UNS Infinity.Next orders: Snipers are taking out our men, neutralize them. Position A is being over run, move to reinforce. (Same time) Assault enemy base to draw fire for tanks to get into position.Stuff like that would force players to choose between objectives. Each completed objective helps your forces along on the way to victory. Each objective you fail at (and you can fail all the objectives) brings your forces closer to total defeat. Also completing the objectives can provide much needed weapons or reinforcements as well as cut enemy vehicles or infantry off from reinforcing their lines. Failed objectives do the opposite. If you fail one you loose troopers and equipment. Parts of the battlefield are inaccessable until you retake that area.Upon result of said battle you are given a screen that rates your overall performance. This is based off of your K/D, allied survival rate, objectives completed and objectives failed as well as total victory and total defeat. This rating is then put into a pool that averages this all out and applies it to the control percentage for that area. This mode I think should be played in 4 player co-op to be its best but could allow for larger teams (no more than 8 though). Also should be able to solo it (if your good enough). The AI in this mode would be most likely at Heroic but should be allowed to be changed to Legendary. The upgrade in difficulty also provides bigger rewards in completed objectives and bigger penalties for failing objectives. Also will affect your performance rating at the end and provide either a bigger boost to the area control or bring it down faster. I feel it shouldnt drop below Heroic difficulty however.Hope that clarifies some things for everybody on my idea. Do you really want to spend the next two games playing as Team Crimson and let Majestic get all the great cutscenes? No, probably not - and neither do I. So how's about some diversity? Elite Ops? ODST Ops? All three? Definitely! Here I will explain how it will all go down, along with some touch ups on other things and ideas. In this thread I will include: - Arbiter's spot in campaign - Elite/ODST/Spartan Ops - ODSTs and Elites in multiplayer - Covenant Separatist immersion to Halo 5 - Canon characters in Ops missions - Cutscenes - Warfronts game variant (Firefight replacement) So Halo 5 is supposedly the darkest of the Halo games, and it's up to us to make sure that it keeps that title. So let's break down what threats could possibly lie ahead. Dr. Halsey and Jul M'Dama have part of an artifact that can map all forerunner technology out there. In other words the halo rings have all been compromised. That's more flood in our sense, and who knows if the other oracles went rampant over the years. So that's Jul M'Dama, Dr. Halsey, the flood, sentinels, and the other oracles. On top of all this there are other rogue Covenant fleets out there who like to get involved in such things, and not to mention the prophets may have a part in what will come about in the future. That also means more brutes, whether be wild and barbaric or still guarding hidden prophets. According to the wiki the prophets seemingly just disappeared, hint hint. 1) Jul M'Dama 2) Dr. Halsey 3) Halo rings 4) Flood 5) Sentinels/Oracles 6) Covenant 7) Prophets/Brutes Wow. So Chief is most likely on Earth living in retirement, still hoping for a chance to see Cortana. Oh btw, did some fans out there speculate that the Didact still lives? Of course this is just a possibility, and the Promethean homeworld Requiem no longer exists, but; Cortana 9) Didact/Prometheans And whoever these guys are; 10) Precursors All these are likely to happen in Halo 5. What do we do now? Look up to the prophets, should they return? Form a truce (the enemy of my enemy is my friend)? Or is everything going to clash together in Halo 6? Or a better idea; start the Great Journey (if you know what I mean). This thread probably didn't need all of that listed, but they are reasons why my first idea (aka everyone's idea) is to allow the Arbiter to have a spot in Halo 5's campaign. Perhaps even a mission (at least one) dedicated to the Arbiter. Maybe the first mission would be satisfying, considering he'd get involved with the events before Chief does. ______________ Elite Ops/ODST Ops/Spartan Ops (I wouldn't exactly call it Elite and ODST Ops, but rather ODST-something and Separatist-something or Elite-something) These campaigns would probably make Halo 5 FAR superior than Halo 4 and maybe even Halo 6. Basically you have three separated campaigns where you get to control as your Spartan, ODST or Elite in their own missions across the galaxy. They each have their own stories. And here's a little twist I'd add in if I were 343 adding this to the game; Halo is known for super epic last missions right? How's about the three Ops campaigns would have the last mission or episodes converge together. So you can fight alongside Crimson with your ODST or Elite characters, and your friends might like to be a different character. Wouldn't that be epic?! This trend would also continue through Halo 6 if everyone likes it, kinda like the warthog thing with Chief. ODSTs and Elites in Multiplayer Everyone wants this to happen, I know. And it's pretty straight forward. I'm going to leave it up to the community to decide what armors they could use, but we'd all agree that they'd get just as much customization as Spartans do. ODST armour would likely be as follows; - Helmet (option to take off?) - Helmet attachments- Face options - Shoulders - Chest - Knees - Miscellaneous - Visors Not everyone wants to be a superhuman, so ODST sizes are generally smaller than the average Spartan. In multiplayer, they would have the same health as Spartans and Elites, but their sprint would be much more within human grasp. They are much slower with the sprint. However, they would get the visor upgrade from Halo 3: ODST, likely with a daytime and night version. Possibly on the down and right arrows on the d-pad, unless customized. There would be uses for the night visor in dark maps and maybe one or two Ops missions. The daytime version would help for general use. If 343 can't seem to make a daytime version, then that should be fine. Elite armour would likely be as follows; - Helmet (option for none?) - Helmet attachments?- Shoulders - Chest - Knees - Miscellaneous - Back attachments/armour? Elites would be just about equivalent to Spartan gameplay, however they would possibly have something distinct about them. And maybe their jetpacks would have different meshes than the humans'. Or maybe a totally different item added to the game (Covenant jetpack). Separatist Immersion to Halo 5 You know how you can change the colour of your mongoose for races right? Well since the Covenant Separatists are a different form of Covenant, that would include colour variants for Covenant vehicles. In Halo 3 their phantoms were green to represent allies to the player. That was in a dire and quick situation to move away from the Covenant and not confuse the humans too much. It's been over 4 years since that, and the community and 343 has the chance to make their colours more distinct (and cool-looking too). Maybe they could have developed their own new vehicle over the years? The Separatists are not an intimidating group of Covenant, so the grunts and elites need not to have what we've seen in normal Covenant. Well, these guys are the normal ones. So here is a brief list of what should be done for fan input to make the Separatist a rather epic group of people; - Grunt/Hunter/Elite distinct armour redesigns and variants - Distinct vehicle redesigns - Perhaps a brand new vehicle added in - Distinct weapon skins/designs There is a thread about Bocaj1000's reaper design, and maybe we could elaborate/debate on that (if 343 hasn't already done so). When Halo 4 was about to come out, I made a thread suggesting how a grunt would look for the Separatists. I took the Heretic designs and sort of made it look like an ODST-like grunt. The Separatists don't treat their grunts as "canon fodder", so those who are on the field are actual specialists with their weapon of choice. The rest just deal with work elsewhere, or become citizens on planets (imagining a grunt bartender on Earth lol). Most would be trained to fight. In my design I made sure that a grunt's methane tank was more light on their backs, designed so they can once again freely climb trees and such with no hauling of a 40 pound tank wherever they go. The new design makes the tank feel more like a backpack with just a thin binder inside. Their breather is also designed to allow their face to fully show for expressions they wish to make. The grunt in my design just so happened to a human-like hat to give him more of a personality, because he is a soldier - and his head wouldn't look as bare. But if a grunt is stationed for space or requires more armour, they would have helmets and such on them. Maybe the Separatist grunt would have pants? And sleeves and shirts? But under their armour. I wouldn't give the average grunt some shoes though, because they like to have their feet to climb and grip. Also keep in mind that Separatist grunts are more focused with the plan, seeing that the ones that fight with you are more specialized for their position. The Reaper: http://www.343indust...ovenant-mantis/ The Grunt (there are loopholes in this thread's lore. I will recopy their pictures and weapon loadouts here): https://forums.halow...eparatists.aspx The Separatist grunt pictures: Heretic grunt overlay - http://i49.tinypic.com/rbxl40.jpg Halo 4 grunt overlay - http://i47.tinypic.com/cuvj5.jpg Infantry Battle: Carbine/Needler/Plasma Rifle? (new weapon designed for automatic rifles for grunts?) Infantry Heavy: Fuel Rod/Needler Scout: Beam Rifle/Needler Those grunts will be happy to hunt down some Kig-Yar. There would probably be approximately two variants for a grunt's armour for each type of fighter; be infantry, scout, piloting a vehicle, or handling a turret. If I were 343 I'd make two for infantry battle, one for heavy, two for scout, one for turret, and one for pilot. If there are any grunt citizens in Halo 5 there would be variants for them, as well. Ops Canon Characters Or should I say, Separatist canon characters. This is to avoid your team completely missing out on the cutscenes, and not even be able to fight with your favourite characters. This idea for Halo 5 fixes that. In Elite and/or ODST Ops, there could be some Separatist characters - likable - and with cool personalities. For example, your Elite team may spend more than a few missions fighting with these two hunters. It's been a long time since we've seen a hunter ally in Halo. The players would love this. And remember that these guys are canon, so they have a role in the plot. And for the ODSTs I was planning on introducing a squad leader. A player can't exactly take this position, and it would be better for cutscenes. Therefore in ODST Ops there could be one or two NPC characters in your squad. But that is up to the community to decide. An Ops team in Halo is meant to be player driven. But if you'd like to fight with an NPC in your own squad that would be nice. Two teams could be fighting on the same mission as well, just as much that the last mission or episode would join the three Ops campaigns. It would definitely help for NPCs having a more local voice with the situations. Oh and, some likable grunts deserve a spot in Halo 5. These canon characters all should be given names. Your ODST squad may come with relations with another squad for cutscene appearance and such. However, the Halo 5 storyline might say otherwise. Ops Cutscenes Would you prefer the Halo Reach approach, or the Halo 4 approach? Awesome graphics are great, but they aren't a necessity to us. Does anyone agree with me that the Halo 4 cutscenes should be for campaign, and only the beginning and the end of the Ops stories (the very beginning and ends)? That way the player's team would have the Halo Reach approach between missions. Placement of your friends may be a complication for the cutscenes, but maybe they could have a silent role or not appear in the cutscenes. ***OR*** Based on the voice the player chose while customizing their character, that would be the voice actor for their cutscenes. And whether you are player 1, 2, 3 or 4 would decide whether you'd be the player leaning on the railing looking at the view, or the one who is discussing what to do in the next mission with the other player, while your commander is in the hologram communicator. This would allow an infinite possibilities of how your player interacts with the players in the cutscenes. Now you don't need an NPC to be your squad leader - however one would be great, and your Elite team would be able to interact with the shipmaster and perhaps those hunters you made friends with in the previous mission. Warfronts Here's something different for Halo. When I thought of this idea I was immediately reminded of Star Wars Battlefront. Remember those PS2 games that had SO much success with their game types, and then just suddenly disappeared when the PS3 came out? It's been a long time since we've had a taste of a battlefront (Battlefield's territory game type is similar, but just isn't the same). What Warfronts offer is like a territory game type, but with more twists to it. Firefight was during the time when humanity was being hunted down for extinction, and waves of Covenant would be sent in until all humans are dead. That time is over. Now when there is a fight going on we take control. I find it really hard to explain this in this thread, it's much more developed in my head lol. But a stage would be divided into 5 or 7 sections. The player would have to eliminate the enemies in a section and take over the territory, before taking control. Once that base is yours, based on how long you've been holding that section you will be provided with more tools to help you along the way. Halo games have the tendency to generate epic experiences by having UNSC ships and pelicans dropping off warthogs and even scorpians to aid you with what lies ahead. In Halo 3 when Forward Unto Dawn came in with the scorpians it was epic. Yes, I keep using the word epic. Editing the Warfront You can choose whether you want to fight alongside Covenant Separatists or the UNSC. You can also choose which faction you and your friends can fight against. Enemies would be Covenant Loyalists or Brutes/Prometheans/Flood if they are in Halo 5. Based on the faction you face the way they provide aid for their teams would be different. For example, Covenant Loyalists would have anti-air turrets and phantoms giving support, while flood can only provide infantry. Brutes would be able to provide choppers and prowlers, but no Covenant vehicles or turrets. Prometheans can also only provide infantry. Maps Maps would be different than the average multiplayer map. These ones are more objective related and have larger areas. They are not able to be edited in Forge, but they can be edited through settings. There could be one map made exclusively for each faction you face, like a flood map made for facing flood. Calling in Support Once you take over the middle territory you will be given a(or some) scorpian or some Separatist wraiths and some other vehicles. They also come with more reinforcements. Enemies do the same. Midpoint reinforcement: UNSC - 2 scorpians, 2 warthogs, 5 infantry. Covenant Separatists - 2 wraiths, 2 ghosts, 5 infantry. Covenant Loyalists - 2 wraiths, 3 ghosts, 2 squads of infantry. Brutes - +5 infantry at home section. Flood - +10 infantry at home section. Prometheans - +5 infantry at home section. Limits There are limits as to how many of what can be fighting at one time: Pelicans/Phantoms - 2 Scorpians - 3 (+2 after midpoint) Wraiths - 6 (+2 after midpoint) Ghosts - 10 (+2 after midpoint) Warthogs - 6 (+2 after midpoint) Banshees - 10 Hornets - 4 (+1 after midpoint) Infantry - 25 (+5 after midpoint) (players don't count) Choppers - 4 (+2 after midpoint) Prowlers - 2 (+2 after midpoint) When you call in support, you can call in certain things based on how long you've been holding a certain section of the warfront. If you meet the requirements at a certain section, you can (kind of) buy the support you require to spawn via drop off at that place. Times required: Pelican/Phantom - 5 minutes Scorpian (+ infantry) - 10 minutes Wraith (+ infantry) - 7 minutes Ghost (+ infantry) - 5 minutes Warthog (+ infantry) - 5 minutes Banshee(x2) - 5 minutes Hornet(x2) - 5 minutes Infantry - 2 minutes Spawn at start:1 Pelican/Phantom 1 Scorpians/2 Wraiths 2 Warthogs/3 Ghosts 2 Hornets/2 Banshees 10 Infantry Lasting Stand If a home (spawn) base is the last one left and is under attack, then they will be continuously sending in reinforcements until you have taken over their base and eliminated all of their spawn. Brutes do not do this because they don't have a huge army. Turrets spawn in enemy bases at the start of the match, and they own all but the first and second sections at the start. Covenant Loyalists have two spots for anti-air cannons at the home base. The player's team does not. Oh and, you can control as Spartan, ODST and Elite regardless if you are fighting with the Separatists or the UNSC. The time limit is unlimited until someone wins. Ops NPCs After reading this a few times and researching a bit I've decided to make this a section for the thread. By Ops NPCs I mean teammates within your team. For example, what if you never played as Crimson in Halo 5 and you'd have a different fireteam that has an NPC or two in it. Elite Ops would probably have an episodic way of who you're fighting with. One mission you're with a squad with grunts and hunters and an elite, the next you're with a skilled elite. The next maybe with hunters and probably alone after that. ODST is controversial to me. The squad could have a leader NPC and maybe a second character, but it wouldn't feel the same as being in charge of your own mission. Here's a short list of canon characters to add to Ops missions: - 1 ODST leader (optional) - 2 ODST members (optional) - Entire squad to fight alongside with (optional) - Two hunters - Some canon grunts - A few elites to fight with - The shipmaster (and others on board) - Another recognizable fireteam of spartans Now let's put all the good things together from this thread, based on if they are good. The video animated cutscenes would be made for campaign exclusively, with the first and last videos of the Ops campaigns being videos, too. Then there would be another ODST squad to fight with and see in a few cutscenes. There now we don't need NPCs in your squad. Your elite team will fight with two hunter characters, a few grunts and also some elites. Each will have names and recognizable personalities. If Chief is with Separatists in campaign then some of them will be characters, too. And based on which player is 1, 2, 3 or 4 (and which voice they chose for their characters) will decide who does what in the cutscenes - and maybe decide who the squad leader is. Oh and shall we add a few marine canon characters out there (meet with them in the midst of a level)? Maybe just one mission in campaign or ODST Ops. 343 wants to expand the universe with recognizable characters, so this is a great start. So with the above paragraph here is the revised list of characters: - The players - An ODST squad - A marine squad - 2-5 elites - A spartan fireteam - Two hunters - Some grunts - Elite Ops shipmaster - Some elites, grunts, and a hunter or two for Arbiter and possibly Chief to fight with in campaign (mostly elites). It would be great if the community debated if we should have NPCs in our Ops teams. Just a yes or no would help. Here are my wishes for Halo 5. Another Forerunner object that acts like the composer or somehow the return of the composer. So many things can be done with this. If the Prometheans are composed humans that have been manipulated, then what would it look like to have composed grunts, jackals, squirmishers, elites, brutes, prophets, hunters, flood, or forerunners? This could open up the possibility for so many new enemies, or possibly allies. A new species that has been accepted into the covenant. It would be pretty cool to see a new face. I know the Prometheans are new, but I kinda want a new covenant enemy that is like a brute or elite, because they are kinda similar to humans, and they are a lot tougher. Be able to control characters other than Spartans. This wouldn't be that hard to do in multiplayer or maybe just customs, I mean they did it in Reach, and that was awesome. I want to be able to control a Spartan, ODST, Elite, Forerunner, Flood (that doesn't have to just have a sword), new humanoid shaped Hunter, or a new species that emerges. These other characters need to have full customization like Spartans do though. The Elites, humanoid hunters, and Forerunners could have completely unique armors that could be changed up, and pieced together, and these could be even more unique than the Spartan and ODST ones. The Flood could be a custom skinned flood version of the other characters that you already customized. Like I said before, I want another new character that is similar in shape and size to humans, elites, or forerunners so that this could happen. What's up with Hunters? These are absolutely awesome covenant creatures that just happen to be a bunch of worms? I want to know if this is the only form that they come in, or whether they can be molded to fit other needs. If so, could they be molded to look similar in shape to humans, and then just fitted with custom armor? What sort of things allowed these worms to be sophisticated enough to fight in wars? How bout elaborating on all of the covenant species a little more in the game and not just books. The return of the Flood in the end scenes of Halo 5. The series is after all called "Halo," so I want the Halos to be explored more. In the process of discovering the halos more, I want to see the flood be released again. Maybe the flood could be released in an attempt to combat against the Prometheans. If so, then maybe if Master Chief releases them, then he knows the cure for the flood, or he knows how to control them after talking to a long lost precursor. I want to be able to teleport like the Promethean Knights do. That would be an awesome ability, and would be cool as maybe a choice between running or teleporting. I want to see the return of Scorpions; Falcons; Banshees; Ghosts; Mantises; Gauss, Normal, Rocket, and Transport Warthogs; Mongooses; Wraiths; Choppers; Prowlers; Hornets; Spectres; and Revanants. All of these vehicles have their own perks and faults, and none of them should be excluded from games. One more new covenant vehicle and some Forerunner vehicles. I want the covenant vehicle to be completely unique. I want it to be brighter green than UNSC vehicles and silver, because it was made by Hunters, yet it fits all other races. It would be cool if it had active camo when it is being controlled, plus some other cool feature. I want a Forerunner type of vehicle that is a one person motorcycle that goes really fast and has a forward facing turret that only move up and down with the camera in one model, and a modified Scattershot on the other model that also only moves up and down. I want a Forerunner Tank of some sort that instead of having a second person operate the turret, an AI inside the vehicle operates two side mounted turrets, and a Flying Forerunner vehicle. I want a Forerunner vehicle that seats 4 and has a small passenger vehicle attached to it that can be deployed for 5 seconds. The vehicle has a pulse cannon on it that shoots pulse waves like a Railgun, but kills with two hits instead of one and is operated by one of the passengers. The Passenger vehicle seats 2. One of the people in the passenger vehicle shoots from their weapon, until the vehicle is deployed, at which time they become a driver. The other person in the passenger vehicle operates a Forerunner type of turret. These are just ideas for vehicles that I think would be Boss! Any cool Forerunner vehicles would be fine with me. The return of all of the Covenant except those flying things. I want to fight the Brutes, Prophets, some Hunters, some Grunts, Jackals, and Skirmishers. I want to be aligned with some grunts, elites, and some hunters. The return of all of the armor abilities. This doesn't mean that people have to complain about people being really cheap by using armor lock all the time, because 343 could just keep some abilities out of matchmaking. I just want to be able to forge and have custom games with any of the armor abilities. Here's more of my Forge and Custom Game wants for Halo 5:1. Bring back custom power-ups. The new Trait zones are awesome, and I love how you can have many different types of trait zones that can be placed; however, these trait zones are limited to one area of the map, their customizations aren’t fully customizable, and they apply to everybody. I feel that the re-implementation of custom power-ups would exponentially increase the number of cool gametypes that could be made. There are time limits on them, and it allows players flexibility all over the map on what sort of customizations could be made.2. Bring back the option of changing the color of Mongooses or even other vehicles. I like the new color pallets of so many of the items in the new forge environments, but I feel like 343 did the same thing that Bungie did: they put too many pieces with the same color. In Halo Reach it was gray, and in Halo 4 it is dark green. The most exciting thing about riding a Mongoose in Reach was knowing that I had my own Blue mongoose compared to everyone else's gray or red mongoose.3. Bring back the Covenant Forge items. Now don't get me wrong, the UNSC items that replaced all of the Covenant ones look amazing, but there isn't as much diversity without the Covenant ones. The plasma battery was one of my favorite forge items because it had pulsating and glowing parts that made amazing aesthetic effects. Even when the plasma battery blew up, it had an awesome looking explosion. The data dispersion effect of the new extraction crates is pretty sweet, but I think the plasma battery explosion would be nice to have too. Forging with the portable shield was also really helpful in custom games. It allowed people to create weapon and vehicle dispensers that could be accessed by everybody. The extraction crates and dominion shields are nice for this too, but they can be too bulky. Also, the base of the portable shield looked really cool and worked nice in aesthetic forging.4. Bring back the ability to forge in water or other liquids. There were quite a few maps that were made in Halo Reach that used water as a central theme, game mechanic, or part of the aesthetics of the map.5. Give us more options for gametypes. It's insanely frustrating trying to create the perfect gametype when very simple options are missing from the customization options. Are you kidding me 343?! I can't even change the look of my Spartan in Flood mode, or make it a classic version of infection. The new options for gametypes are great improvements, but that doesn't mean that the old options should be thrown out.6. Give us all of our old gametypes back plus new ones. You don’t have to get rid of Gametypes just because. I want to be able to create any type of experience that I please when I create a gametype. I really like extraction and Dominion, along with Regicide, but like always, I want more options.7. Forgeable NPCs. It would be awesome to fight alongside UNSC, Flood, Prometheans, or Covenant against the opposing team. You could customize their traits just like you can your own, but you can also choose their intelligence level. It would be so awesome to at least be able to place up to 16 characters (probably 8 for each team).8. Weather effects and natural effects. It would be awesome to have sandstorms, rain, tornadoes, lightning, fog or mist, earthquakes, etc. These things could randomize some of the outcomes in custom games because out of nowhere this tornado sweeps you up, or an earthquake shakes you just wrong into a hole. They could just be aesthetic effects if that would be the only plausible option. It would be cool to have different rooms in a custom game that have different weather effects.9. Forgeable Bodies and Debris. This would help so much with the aesthetics of certain maps that it could actually make them believable. It would also cost a lot less on the budget of people who try to forge debris out of a bunch of different pieces.10. Vehicle Perks. These would work so that in exchange for a normal quality that you have, you get a perk for the vehicle you are in. For example, Grenades and Dimes--In exchange for being able to carry grenades, vehicles you are in turn and stop a lot quicker (like the saying turns and stops on a dime). These would be awesome, and 343 even implemented one of these in Halo 4 campaign. You could choose one of these perks, or none of them. Here is a list of perks that I think you could get. The perk I mentioned above is included too. A Hope, A Prayer, and Lots of Speed--In exchange for not having shields, vehicles you are in gain 3X speed. One Manned, One Gun Army--In exchange for not being able to carry a secondary weapon, vehicles you are in have 2X fire rate. Running on Empty--In exchange for only being able to carry up to 1/3 of the maximum ammo for any weapon, vehicles you are in don't have a cool-down period on weapons or abilities. Eagle Eye--In exchange for having a HUD, vehicles you are in allow passengers or drivers to see waypoints over medium to short distance enemies.11. FINE EDITING IN FORGE!!!!!!! There isn't much to say here but that I'm PISSED that this isn't in Halo 4. There is no way on Earth that aesthetic things, or certain mechanics can be just right like they were in Halo Reach, without Fine Editing. This is my number one complaint, and number one want back!!12. Forge-able Firefight matches. It would be freaking sweet to fight the flood, covenant, promethians, and whatever else on my own map. I'd love making some grunts come storming out of a little room and be able to slaughter them, but out of nowhere some Elites come up behind me and try to ram a sword through my chest, but I pull out a Grav. Hammer and pummel 'em while getting shot at by those grunts I forgot about. Anyways, Forge-able Firefight matches that are fully customizable would be sweet. Even better would be being able to have a match of firefight going on while playing another gametype like slayer or king of the kill. You would have to protect yourself from a foreign enemy while trying to get a flag back to your base or something. If they did that and brought back the ability to play as an Elite or other humanoid character, it would be the toughest, yet most fun gametype ever!!I know this says to bring back a lot of stuff, but this is because 343i took away SOOOO much and barely gave us anything new in return.Alright, now weapon ideas I have.(Forerunner) Paralyzer: Accelerated Hardlight Energy Pulser. It sends out a massive blast of blue hardlight energy that expands horizontally to two times the size at two times the distance beyond short range. It also decreases in damage with the increase in range. It paralyzes foes at medium distance for 1 second, and depletes their shields fully at that distance (unless they have an overshield, in which case it fully depletes the overshield and paralyzes them for 1 second). It insta-kills foes at short range, but has less of a spread (unless they have an overshield, in which case it fully depletes both shields and paralyzes them for 1 second). It has a 1 shot chamber with a 2 second non-automatic reload time and a .3 second charge time before firing like a Railgun or Spartan Laser. It has 4 shots in full. It also leaves an electric trace for 1 second on the ground (unless it was shot at a falling or flying enemy) that depletes shields of anyone that walks over it (maximum 1/4 depletion), keep in mind that the area of this trace increases and decreases with distance from the gun to the ground that it hit. It has an instant hit from the time it fires. It disables vehicles for 1 second at any distance, and at short range it also fully depletes the players' shields inside those vehicles for the normal time. If you shoot it at an enemy at point blank, it might kill you too.(Covenant) Shadow Projector: It is a covenant weapon that was made using newly discovered Forerunnner technology. It shoots a constant dark purple beam at the enemy. It only damages them whenever they fire their weapon. Whatever damage that weapon could have done with every bullet it fires, it also does to the person firing the gun, but only if the bullet was fired whenever the beam was directed at the person firing the bullet or whatever the projectile may be. Wherever the beam is directed at on that person, is also where the damage is done to the person. For example: Someone fires a Sniper Rifle twice (at you or anywhere else) and during that time, they have the shadow projector's beam aimed at their body and then out of nowhere, they drop dead. Now redo that scenario, to where they are are firing the sniper rifle, but it only takes one shot and they drop dead; this is because the shadow projector was aimed at their head instead of their torso this time. In a dual between the Shadow Projector and a DMR, as long as every shot hit from the DMR and the Beam was on the DMR wielder during every shot, both people die at the same time. But in a long distance dual with say, a rocket launcher or incineration cannon, the rocket launcher wielder will die first because the beam shot is instant, whereas the rocket launcher rocket is slow, so the Shadow Projector wielder may be able to dodge the rocket. To balance it, it can only fire for 3.5 consecutive seconds before overheating and it has a pretty small battery. It auto depletes an opponent's shields whenever it is aimed at someone when they throw a grenade. It does the same things to vehicles that it does to players when they fire weapons.(Forerunner) Hacker: This is the Promethian sword that the Knight's hold. It is the hook version of it. You can preform a killing swing at the same distance as melee distance (which is shorter than lunge distance), but if you get behind an opponent, you can hijack them for 5 seconds and hip fire their current weapon until it needs reloading, at which time you will assassinate them, but if you don't use up their clip in that five seconds, you will automatically let them go, unless you assassinate them or throw them at any time during that time. A thrown enemy will kill them if they hit something and have no shields, deplete their shields if they have shields, and do the same thing to another enemy if it hits them instead of a wall or object. If you end up releasing them (or rather, whenever the animation shows them breaking free from you after 5 seconds), it shows them hitting you, which knocks out your shields, or kills you if you have no shields currently. The hijacked person acts as a frontal meat-shield for all but your head. Splash damage and piercing bullets still effect you, as well as side shots and back shots against you. You can move with your meat-shield, but you move at 75% of normal speed going backwards, 50% when going forwards, and 100% when going to the side. You also turn at 75% of your personal normal sensitivity. It has an energy bar like the energy sword, and it only uses it up whenever it hits or hijacks. It takes up 10% if it hits, and 20% if you hijack someone with it, whether you assassinate them afterwords or not. It puts a hard-light collar around their neck is why it takes energy.(Forerunner) Flash Booster: It shoots a superheated ball of hardlight energy that sticks to players and surfaces like a plasma grenade. The ball is extremely bright like a flare and it blinds players in a nearby vicinity. The ball drains the health or shields of anybody within a few feet of it. It will kill a person that it sticks to in 3 seconds (unless they have a full overshield, in which case it will take away the overshield in 2 seconds and then drop off of the player), but if it sticks to you, you can see unless it is stuck to your face. It burns for five seconds after it hits something and then the flare goes away. The radius upon which it blinds people and drains health or shields, decreases with each second. It has a one shot magazine and the same amount of total rounds as the sticky detonator. It also takes the same time as a sticky detonator to reload. It has quite a bit of bullet drop. It will only kill you when it isn't stuck to you, if you stand right next to it from full health and shields for 4 seconds (or a little less if you have lower health and shields). It's area of effect goes down with each passing second. Also, all current and future Forerunner weapons will change color to blue or orange depending on the time of day of the map (blue for night and orange for day). That's all I currently have as far as ideas for new weapons. I’m tired of people wanting to add new weapons to halo that are pretty much the same as other weapons, or a way overpowered version of them. This is why I thought these new weapons would be cool. Don't get me wrong, I love at least one version of every weapon in Halo, it's just that there are so many copies of the same weapon with only a new look and name as a difference between them. I tried to add some drawbacks to these weapons, so they would be balanced, but if you think they aren't, I want to know how I may be able to improve them. Vaulting♥Frog
As I have said before, I would like to see an armory that is actually useful. Small stat boosts are applied to each armor piece (different stat boosts for different armor types and pieces) wouldnt unbalance the game and add a far better level of customization to your Spartan so it suits your game play.
MandoMan
Multiplayer: a Third-person game type PLEASE!!!!! kinda like the 3rd person theater just playable in online games! Campaign: Bring back Arby! halo 4 gives the perfect set up. And more original characters that are actually mandatory to the gameplay. In reach you could easily complete any level without the aid of the rest of nobel team. same problem with all other halos except ODST. Other: THE RETURN OF DUAL WEILDING!

Jord
I wouldn't mind having it like Halo 3 again, just with a new story, new maps, improved graphics. No armor customization, no armor abilities, but I know that's a long shot xD
TheRagingBrute
Forget my other topic. I've come up with some halo 5 ideas i think all of you might like. Well, first lets start off with my ideas for the multiplayer/xbox live gametypes shall we? Gametypes/Modes: Spartan Ops Season 2 - Crimson gets captured by a brute chieftain leader of the covenant, and he is held captive on the mother ship. A new spartan steps in and his mission is to save crimson. Also enemies are just covenant. The Flood - Well, it's like a third campaign just like spartan ops is like a second campaign. Master chief and arbiter were with an elite squad on the halo ring they were in a large area infested with flood. The elites got lost. They lost contact with arbiter and master chief. It's their mission to find the arbiter and the chief. They have to kill any flood/covie that stands in their way! There is not that much covenant in this mode. There is only flood, not that much covenant, spartan flood, and sentinels. The sentinels are on your team. You'll run into them a couple of times and they'll help you get through locked doors and kill flood. Near the end they lead you to master chief and the arbiter. Prommethean Slayer - A gametype where you can play as a promethean and kill other prometheans in war games. Blue vs Orange because orange is there color on halo 4. We get to have promethean weapons and promethean abilities like that shield and the little robot that protects you. And on the left side of your arm you get to have a sword attached to it. War games. Swords & Hammers! - I gametype in war games where you only have energy swords and gravity hammers. The only armor ability you have is invisibility. Race - Returns! If you'd played halo 2 or 1 you would know what im talking about. Elite slayer - Returns! You guys like? c: Weapons: Brute plasma rifle Plasma rifle Brute shot Sentinel beam Mauler Original SMG's Vehicles: Locust - Looks like a mini scarab and its in halo wars. Scarab - Returns. Looks like a giant futuristic alien spider lol. Cyclops - Was in halo wars UNSC vehicle a person gets in it and the cyclops can hit you with its big hands. It also repairs broken stuff. Vampire - Was in halo wars a covenant vehicle like a banshee you can fly it but you can also shoot needlers out of it. Armor abilities: I dont know - Only used for promethean slayer, this ability allows you to call those little bug prometheans and they go and kill the other team. Just like on call of duty we have attack dogs. Enemies: Flood Brutes Elites(Very little) Grunts(Very little) Jackals Hunters Drones Skirmishers Wild Jackals(Normal jackals until you piss them off they attack you like a zombie) (New enemy?) (New enemy?) (New enemy?) Foes: Elites Arbiter Spartans Marines ODST Grunts Prometheans(I'll tell you later) Sentinels Here's why prometheans are foes. If you watched the terminals on halo 4 the last terminal shows that the librarian turned the prometheans good. Thats why they were blue. So now lets just say the librarian turned them good again and in the campaign they help you kill flood in the library? Campaign - Ok so i dont wanna go over my idea for the storyline so im just gonna say The arbiter comes back with his elites and theres a major war all around earth from the covies. Then the covenant get distracted because they found another sacred halo ring and all of a sudden they stop attacking. Then they retreat to the ring. If they go on that ring theyre gonna activate it and its gonna kill us all! It is master chief and arbiters job to stop the covenant. 343i I would love for this campaign to be very long! It would keep us halo fans going. I hope theres 3 parts in the campaign where at first you get to play as chief and then we play as arbiter then we play as the rookie from halo 3 odst and the rookies job is to be on earth defending it. Like on halo 2 there was 2 parts of it where you get to play as arbiter then the chief. Would you guys love these ideas to be on halo 5 and play these epic adventures? Flood mode would be great! P.S all these are just ideas and stuff. And of course i dont want all the original stuff to be taken away. What do you guys think? These are just ideas guys. And i would just like for halo 5 to be a halo 2 smashed with all the other halos. Then it makes epic game. Bye guys. Tell my what you think in the comments. Helllo!?!? Somebody reply! Sum1 reply...
Bloody Initiate
Exclude all the weapons and vehicles which previously appeared in more than one game. Include all the weapons and vehicles which previoulsy only appeared in one Halo game. More like a Halo 4.5, but I think things would get interesting if the premier marksman rifle was the needle rifle, the mauler was the primary shotgun/CQB weapon, the storm rifle was the number one full-auto infantry weapon, and the sticky detonator/incineration cannon were the new - and only - launchers. Binary rifle would take a new step into the spotlight, but it would have to watch its back against the pistol and SMG from Halo 3: ODST because both were designed for stealth so mechanics would be in place to allow them to sneak better. You could even justify bringing back the old plasma rifle by bringing back the brute version, not sure I'd bother though. You'd basically have a game whose arsenal was based on uniqueness, but weapons would still have a place in the game. Where there was a void you could create something new. You wouldn't have to listen to a lot of complaints about one gun working wrong, because players would only have one example to work against in the past. Also a lot of fun vehicles which had potential in a previous game would gain appropriate upgrades to maintain balance and would drastically alter the look of the field (Hornets, Falcons, Revenants, Spectres, Choppers). Suddenly you'd have a Halo game which looked and felt like Halo but still managed to be new and felt different enough from previous titles to differentiate itself. You'd have a much more prominent place in the game for alien weaponry, which makes sense since you fight aliens in every single Halo game. It would play less like other shooters due to unique weaponry, but more like Halo because all that weaponry played in Halo previously. firehead946
welll i also have some ideas like vehicles the eagle its like a hawk from halo wars but its a mutlipalyer vechile like the falcon was but this one is for like a really large map like timberland was in halo ce mutliplayer maps/helljumper maps/spartan wars maps i want a remake again of timberland but make it 2x as big for the mutliplayer vehicle the Eagle and for the two bases on each side make those alot larger here is a custom map i was thinking of for a while it has a down ffg class 2 frigate abit bigger the forward unto dawn and that is where the playing field is and the frigate crash of a big line/ravine thing in the ground and where the um ravine crater thing is the ship has a big rip in it where you have to use a jet pack to get a cross or you have to be good a jumping and if you fall down a big monster eats you it pops up and your gone. you also have 2 upper levels where you can see where the buttom level and probaly sniper them when the jet pack across. i still dont know want to call it put i was thinking something like 343 frigate down in honor of you hard work for halo 4 and can you also add the um helljumpers pods in the back ground if you could even think about this map idea and turn it into something cool can you send a message to my xboxlive account to say thank you for the idea please add like a blood glutch map for spartan wars and helljumpers and add harvest arcadia and mars for maps in those storyline gametypes/modes i want something like halo wars was like but this would be a mode call spartan wars where you have to build up a base and get money call supplies and you have to train units and upgrade them through stages that take 5 to 10 min. this also has a storyline to it also a mode in war games called takedown. well its kind of like regicide but its like sniper missions to assassins to using a smg for halo 3 odst and where you can customize your weapons like in call of duty but make the weapons where its not if that makes sence because i dont want halo like call of duty that much. oh yeah speaking of odst i want a gamemode like that where you drop in from obrit and take out the covies and forunners on worlds like harvest in a different storyline called helljumpers i this could be put in wargames wait it could be a match agaisnt the covies and the odst in speacil made map i think that would be cool it would be like all the halo's mixed in to one big story if you guys could do that i would thank you very much and i know that you will probally not add it tho weapons i want a new unsc sniper that have half the zoom in and its like the dmr and br and sniper mixed in one and i want it to you guys at 343 to name its something clever ok nothing cheeses oh yeah i want you to bring back the plasma rifle with a couple upgrades. like a zoom in kind of the the unsc pistol has and a faster cooldown damn in not good a spelling but i want a new covanet rifle called the plasma terarepeater its has the zoom in of the carbine and has the firerate of the plasma repeater from reach races/people to come in/new breed of soilders i want a new covie race something new like how the introduced the drones in halo 2 you guys need a game changer race some race you would introduce in like mission 3 i want a new breed of marines like a buffed out version of the odst there are going to be like the spartan IV's in a way but call the bulks because the would be inbetween the odst's and the spartans. now there something to think about maybe bring back lord hood in a easter egg or in a transmission of something bring back buck for halo 3 odst and his team in a drop that master chief has to help out and in the one gametype in the gametype section of this bring back the arbiter and probally get him injured well helping the chief and one of the covies kill him i know it would be wrong to kill that major character but do it a the end of the story. add like the um elite rebel that the arbiter lead after he left the covenat. and he get killed by the ship master campaign/storylines in the etxra modes like spartan ops and takedown make masterchief more aware of his humanity credits thank you for reading this frank O'conner and KiKi Wolfkill and all the other 343 member oh and nice job with halo 4 Forward Unto Dawn It had a nice storyline. i start writing this a 3:15am and finish at 4:30 i thought of all of these in a matter of second and im not sure the you will add any of these but thank you for reading this post is not finish i will copy and past this into a noted pad and when i want to add to it i will put it here. dear 343 watch the Halo Galaxy of Combat trailer that BVGstuidos is making to give you an idea to what i want the gametype helljumpers to be like
harde137
i would love the elites playable again in halo 5 and what if the covenant would find cortana in halo5 campaing, and maybe fix her for some reason?
Reach1997
All i want is a customizeable controller scheme, the normal layouts **** and I think others would like it. I think we also need Firefight, invasion, able to play as prometheans/elites in certain modes, race, halo reach infection because halo 4 flood sucks, another forge world with other 3 forge maps, grifball i matchmaking, multi team, action sack - basically all game types from halo reach matchmaking at it's height as well the ones from halo 4. We also need halo reach forge with magnets, brute weapons, rebels perhaps? (humans). Flood mode firefight would be cool. All of these and some more yet you keep everything things from halo 4, don't do an either or thing
Snockooz
1. New Forerunner weapons... The weapons in Halo 4 were new and fun but they didn't seem Forerunner from what I've seen and heard of their weapons. Now I do know that the Forerunner weapons in Halo 4 were made for the Forerunner Flood War so there really should be a whole other class of Forerunner weapons. From what I know the weapons they used before the Flood War were more organic and could combine shots with other weapons fired with them. These weapons, if put in to the game, would be more powerful than their human covenant equivalents. In campaign enemies with these weapons would be able to group together and combine there's shots to make one that would be at least 2x more powerful than if they just shot all there guns once. The power of the shot. would also depend on what weapons they had. Even if they didn't combine the shots simply being near other functioning, ally, energy weapons would allow it to drain a small amount of energy from these guns to make the shots slightly more powerful. At max there should be only 4 types of these weapons. A small Pistol like one that acts like an under powered Rail gun with a charged shot that shoots a straight shot with damage in between that of the beam Rifle and the DMR. A some what larger automatic rifle that you charge up and it would fire like a plasma turret but more powerful and less accurate. The longer you charge it the longer it will fire. Holding it for at least 10 sec would have it firing until drained of energy. A larger long ranged rifle that locks on to a target and fired a very lengthened beam that follows the target like the plasma Launcher in reach. It would have a 3 sec lock on time and the shot its self would move at a similar speed as the Bolt Shot's. And last but not least the biggest one of all. This gun would shoot 8 of the same shots as the last gun but at the same time, all 8 would shoot forward and then separate and move on different path toward where ever the crosshair is pointing and if the crosshair was to move the beams would react to the best of there ability to follow it, unless they had already hit something. This weapon would work best in a larger wide open space. Also add the War Sphinx and Forerunner tank. http://www.gophoto.i...pg#.UOLn5ZPjnn0 http://www.gophoto.i...ed-Sentinel.png 2. Firefight 3.0 You need to bring back firefight however you should add some aspects of Spartan Ops and allow the maps to be forgeable. More customization, we should be able to make our own mini campaign. Bring back all the things that were in reach firefight, allow there to be objectives. AI teammates, not just marines but Covenant, Prometheans, flood and what ever else is in the game. Space battles too, let us fight in big dog fights in space or in atmosphere in firefight. 3. Forge 3.0 Terrain editing in forge. We want this so bad it would make it so we can really make our own maps. 4. Real Forerunner Warrior Servants. The Prometheans in Halo 4 are nowhere near as smart or as powerful as real Forerunner Warrior Servant so please can you add them in halo 5. If you do add them then maybe they could be like this. They would be faster and stronger than spartan 4s, when in combat they would act somewhat like Skirmishers did in reach. They would be about 7 to 8 feet tall. They would be able to teleport faster and have much stronger shields than Prometheans, at least 1.5 times stronger than a Commander and they would use those new weapons. If more than one is on the battle field they could combine their shields to make large walls or bubble shields. These servants would be able to summon Knights but only 4. Some might have holograms like the Heretic leader in halo 2 and some would also have the Force grip that the Didact had but all Spartans would need to have something to disable it on their armor. When killed the Watcher could use their remains to create a Promethean Commander unless the player disintegrated the body. 5. Quick time Events. Ok I'm not saying that they are bad but if you need to use them make MC do something really cool. Look at the QTEs in Resident Evil 4. Mostly the fighting ones. 6. Armor customization. Take a tip from forge and let us build our own armor… Give us shapes and let us place them on our characters like in Soul caliber 5, let us pick the parts of the armor we want to color, let us make our emblems like in CoD, and let us choose what weapon we want to pose with. Oh yeah and MC needs to get a kick yoink set of Forerunner Combat Skin! his armor only rates as a class 2… he should at least be at a class 12. Tell me what you think.
Tangentalcoot73
1. I think there should be a forge world remake. Beacuse in Halo 4 I couldn't make many maps. 2. I think there should be flood mode and infection. Because there is lots of gametypes like fatkid that we couldn't play in halo 4 3. I would love this if we could have pelicans in forge and custom gams but you can have a total of only 2 allowed. Pelicans in custom games would be great for machinimas and really fun two use. 4. Unlimited amount of objects but a $12,000 budget. Thanks I hope you like these ideas!!
Aidan Smith
In Halo 5 they should add fighting with fists and katankas and knives and makeing your own assassinashin make your own weapon make you own world fight in space swim see your spartans face make your own armor make freinds get a girlfreind talk thru your mic and make your spartan talk. SabreOfDoom
in halo 5 they should put in: 1. Multiple campaigns from different characters views that all add into one massive story + either a new enemy or bring in the precursors the acient enemy of the forerunners 2. Bring back the elites in multiplayer and add in the forerunners (not the AI in halo 4 that you fight most of the time ) and couple of new game types like spartans vs elites vs forerunners to control locations for certain amount of time. 3. improve forerunner weapons make them seem more forerunner. include more weapons to use in a loadout 4. pick a path: when you start multiplayer instead of specializations, be able to pic a race of alien or human and level them up e.g. elite start as a normal elite and work to become a zelot. or same with forerunners and spartans start as basic spartan work up to be like master chief and you can use all three of these at the start like loadouts and change them whenever you want. 5. BRING FORGE WORLD BACK OF HAVE A NEW LARGE OPEN MAP 6. bit of a long shot but a gametype called ship wars where you basically have 2 or 4 teams with 2 to 6 people in it where you each control a small ship like the forward unto dawn vs the covent ship like in reach that you go on. 7. make maps large and large teams with air vehicles for dog fights like broadsword vs banshee and pelicans that can drop people of at capture points ( phantom for covenent ) 8. hand to hand combat modes, so like if you bget close to someone you can click a button which knocks there wepons out of there hand engaging the hand to hand combat where to have to press loads of buttons in time. Also be able to take real cover behind walls and pop out and shoot. 9. lastly all armour changes your stats and how to see your screen e.g. the recon armour has a small visor so your screen is limited to the same shape as your visor but you have increase radar and can zoom further with things so the recon would be ideal for snipers. Also be able to maybe take your helmet off desabling your shields but making to see easier and run around fatse maybe have damage increase.Lastly have weak point in armour which can maybe instantly take down sheilds or make the player go into crawl PLUS add in awsome revieves let me know what you think
dpvsdeadmau5
I totally agree with all of this stuff. Definitely a new Forge World and playable Elites (or all Coveys) and Prometheans. For campaign I would like to see some form of Spartan Bounty Hunter(s) that capture(s) Mater Chief or something along those lines. Some bigger multiplayer maps would be great. Also they should try and fix up the lag a bit. Halo 4 lags a lot more than Reach. Bring Firefight back but make it not as boring I guess? Make it to where you have to defend a base or something. 6. bit of a long shot but a gametype called ship wars where you basically have 2 or 4 teams with 2 to 6 people in it where you each control a small ship like the forward unto dawn vs the covent ship like in reach that you go on. 7. make maps large and large teams with air vehicles for dog fights like broadsword vs banshee and pelicans that can drop people of at capture points ( phantom for covenent ) This idea reminds me of Star Wars Battlefront II. Space battles were always fun to do, even by yourself.
Popular Post UNLEASHED96
I have always loved the Halo series, but I find myself lost with some aspects of Halo 4. Complaints/Requests: 1) No human air vehicles - I understand that you can fly a Pelican in campaign and yes that was nice, however it felt as if I was flying a Falcon with a new skin. In regards to the Falcon, I disagree with those that want it in the game because that was from Reach I think it would make much more sense if the Hornet were in Halo 4 as it was in Halo 3. Something that made the Pelican special for me at least was the fact the ability to drop of large amounts of people/cargo. I think that is what the fan base wants. People would have been very happy with Reach if the Falcon had passenger seats. Now I don't agree with the Pelican or Phantom (with fully operational transport capabilities) in Matchmaking unless we can have more than 16 players in a match, like maybe 32. So I say we have a nice tricked out Hornet capable of carrying more than it could in Halo 3, like maybe 4 passengers. Or even a Troop Transport Warthog capable of also carrying 4 passengers. How nice would it be to have the Scorpion with the passenger seats available as well? 2) Not enough Covenant Vehicles - In Halo 2 we had limited vehicle choices, but we did have the Covenant answer to the Warthog, we had the Spectre. That was an Elite 'Warthog' and as the Elites are back in the game I would see it fitting to have back one of their many vehicle choices. You had brought it back in Halo 3 as a Prowler and that was good, but It would be nice to have it again. 3) Not enough Marines - To me it seemed like there were not enough Marines, in the other Halo games you had these larger scale Marine assaults, in Halo 2 Halo 3 we had large amounts of Friendly AI in almost every mission even in some missions on Reach. I want that again. I want to feel like I am in an army not just a rogue soldier acting on my own. I want to feel as if I am part of a squad or a company. 4) Forge - Rather than 3 small forge environments I think you should have one really large map with several geographical features on it and possibly 2 or 3 biomes (just a thought, i know that would be difficult to do.) People want separate map textures though so maybe you guys could make it a DLC so you would not have to crunch everything on the disc. 5) Maps - I loved Halo 2,3 and Reach maps if you could bring back a few of the favorites as DLC similar to what Bungie did with the Anniversary pack, that would be awesome. And since this is finally my chance to get this out, here is my list of maps I want back. Sandtrap (With Elephants, specific only to that map to make it special) Standoff The Pit Terminal Waterworks Also rather than making new 'Blood Gulches' you could just make a blank one with all the items needed to remake all of the versions in past games. Blood Gulch Coagulation Valhalla 6) Weapons - I love the sounds of the weapons and all the new additions to the Halo arsenal. I like how weapons that were bad were beefed up to make them something you would want to have, like the Storm Rifle. I also appreciate having the Beam Rifle back, but I was very upset about somethings. I understand why there is no dual wield with the weapons we have now, it would be extremely over kill if the pistol was dual wielded. However some weapons I think should come back as dual wields. Plasma Pistol Suppresor* SMG* Boltshot* The Suppresor is like the stand in for an SMG, but I think it would prove very smart if we had a choice in the automatic weapons department. If you brought back the SMG and made it similar yet different to the Suppresor then we could have and epic showdown like how we had the Plasma Rifle vs Brute Plasma Rifle. If they were both good in different areas then it would be a really nice variety of choices for our automatic weapons. The Boltshot is one if the most overpower weapons. The fact that you can spawn with a shotgun seems silly to me. I do not want a one-shot-kill weapon that you can spawn with. I believe the range should be lowered and damage should be something equivalent to the Mauler from Halo 3. Where it only lowers shields with one shot fired. If you coupled that shot with a melee you would then get a kill, of course this would only apply to an enemy with full shields. Then if we made it dual wield able it would be an instant kill if both guns were fired and less overpowered since you would have to acquire a second weapon. 7) Scarabs/Bosses In Halo 2, 3 and ODST we fought epic battles against scarabs. I was highly disappointed when Reach offered no Scarab battles and even more upset with the no Scarabs in Halo 4. I think they should be cooler, bigger and badder to really prove a tough fight. Like how in Halo 3 we had to fight two at the same time, that was amazing and we all want that again. Also boss fight like in Halo 2 against Tartarus, if we fought the Didact personally rather than just watching the cinematic it would be really fun. The over all challenge of the game would increase. 8] Skulls I don't want to be given skulls I want them to be really damn difficult to find like in Halo 2 and 3. I want to find them in order to activate them in campaign. I miss that stuff and we want that added mystery back. 9) Armor I want Halo 3 armor to make a return like Hayabusa, and even Mark V. We liked Mark V from the begining and having hayabusa and katana was a nice little accomplishment that we were able to have after doing so well in the game. Thank you for reading this long post. 343, You would really make a name for yourself if you did even half of these. If anybody has anything realistic to add to this it would be appreciated.
SabreOfDoom
in halo 5 they should put in: 1. Multiple campaigns from different characters views that all add into one massive story + either a new enemy or bring in the precursors the acient enemy of the forerunners. Also at the end oth the campaign and during the campaign add in full on hand to hand combat fights against the enemy and the end boss. 2. 9. lastly all armour changes your stats and how to see your screen e.g. the recon armour has a small visor so your screen is limited to the same shape as your visor but you have increase radar and can zoom further with things so the recon would be ideal for snipers. also yourr visor can get cracked or damaged similar to the end of campagn in reach. Also be able to maybe take your helmet off desabling your shields but making to see easier and run around fatse maybe have damage increase.Lastly have weak point in armour which can maybe instantly take down sheilds or make the player go into crawl PLUS add in awsome revieves let me know what you think
Bailey115
I think they should put the Didact in The next game and he survives and doesn't fall in the composers energy and grabs on to a ledge with his wound from Master Chief putting a pulse grenade in his armor and he rejoins with his forerunner army and attacks earth. It would be very disapointing to me if hes not in Halo 5, i think they can do more with him.
Halo5Ideas
Halo 5 game ideas: A promethean vehicle, called the ripper should be introduced. It has 3 wheels, one front, and two back wheels, and has a hardlight turret that fires streams of hardlight energy. It takes the same amount of damage as the warthog and has a boost like the ghost making it a quite agile vehicle. It should respawn at the same rate as the same rate as the warthog. Firefight should be more fun. You get a prize at the end of a set. The more points you have from killing enemys add up to the prize. So, if you have 2500 points you can get a sniper rifle or something. Spartan ops should have a bigger amount of maps. Im tired of the same maps all the time. The ranking system should be based on skill. Arbiter should return. And if so, I hope 343 can make him playable for some missions like halo 2. The boltshot should be weakened down a bit. It’s like a handheld shotgun. Plasma rifle, and SMG should return. (Possibly mauler?) They should make a competition. The community has to design their own weapon and armor. The winner gets their designs into the game! I hope 343 reads this, and I hope it helps them! There is still more to come!
DRG Spetsnaz
1. playable elites in multiplayer or other races 2. Dual Human/Covenant campaign like from halo 2. In halo reach, when i was in the cut-scene for tip of the spear, i actually thought i was going to fight in that big battle, but that didn't happen, neither in halo 4. so in halo 5 there should be an ENORMOUS open battle like that. also i haven't fought a scarab for 3 games, in halo 5 there should be more scarab fights. 3. return of SMG and MAC blast, and the original battle rifle 4. have a forge world where you spawn on a vast land but if you travel high enough you can also go into space, and also spawn elephants, pelicans...just have a significant wide variety of vehicles exclusive to forge world. 5. return of firefight but you start out with a pelican or Drop pod insertion into the map with other A.I Spartans as well. and there should be flood in firefight. and there should be ordnance but instead of weapons it could be extra ally insertions like marines/Spartans/elites. there should also be a firefight game-type where you have to defend your base from enemies, the bases could kinda look the ones like from halo wars except you can go inside the base, and each round you'll be rewarded weapons, ammo and other shenanigans. also 343 should get rid of the firefight customization, to bring back the feel of surprise like from Halo 3: ODST 6. instead of a forge or firefight, replace one of those two(probably firefight) and replace it with an MMO, separate from the campaign, but you use your multiplayer character. if that wouldn't work either, then replace spartan ops with historical missions, or the return of spirit of fire. 7. their should be armor packs included with the DLC's 8. I know this one is a mega long shot but i thought of a new game-type called BATTLE ZONE, where its a 32 v.s 32 live server, where you can drop in and out and you will be awarded credit for whatever you have done, the objectives can change from invasion to capture the flag to territories to assault. the map for this game type need to be grand that can hold up to 64 players and have 1 host for each team, the map should be heavily vehicle oriented with scorpions falcons, pelicans, broadswords, seraphs, banshees, warthogs, mongooses, ghosts, wraiths, elephants, maybe some new vehicles . also heavy ordnance. 9. Fix the UNSC's attitude, get rid of Sarah Palmer, and add a More Noble Character, make the Spartans more Noble and Honorable, i wanna feel like im a hero, like noble 6, or Chief. I feel like a jerk playing as a spartan IV

Admiral Ackbar
First off, I agree with MOST points. I don't think there needs to more marines. In this storyline there is a very obvious reason there aren't many marines throughout the campaign. Honestly I would have been surprised to see more marines running around on the forerunner planet. But depending on the storyline of Halo 5, you could expect to see more. Forge: I like the way it is. But I would LOVE to see larger maps available to forge. Like in Halo 3, a Sandtrap sized map would be cool. I would LOVE to see some of the older maps brought back especially Blood Gulch. Even though Ragnarok is reminiscent of Blood Gulch it's not the same, I also want SideWinder. I want the skulls to be hard to find too. I liked spending hours with my friends trying to collect them all. My idea for the armor is a little different. I want each helmet to offer something slightly different. For example the Scout helmet should allow the Spartan to zoom in a little more so than a normal helmet. Things like that.
