So apparently we don't deserve to have the same gaming experience as everyone else?

 

Even if we've been massive fans of the franchise all-along, eh?

 

That seems a bit unfair, and a great way to alienate your audience. Not to mention the fact that it's been called an 'incentive'. Perhaps no-one at 343 knows the definition of incentive, allow me to clarify;

 

"A thing that motivates or encourages someone to do something"

 

We have to know about it first... you know... If I'd known that I'd only be able to play half as much of the online multiplayer as everyone else, I probably would've sold old games. But here I was thinking that they'd actually release it soon afterwards.

 

Hate to be the pariah here, but Bungie would never have done this, guys. :/

Hi Ben and welcome to 343i's fan forums. What is it exactly that you are complaining about? From what i can tell its probably about something that those who bought the game on launch day or pre-ordered it got. Halo 4 isn't the first game to offer things for the early birds. If you didn't get this 'something' then all i can say is that life isn't always fair and sorry that you feel you have been left out..

Wow guy take it easy. It IS frustrating so don't act all high and mighty since you got your codes. Took me almost a month after the promised me mine to get them in an Xbox live message. That's a poor way to do business regardless. Not to mention he wasn't coming off whiny or any of that BS. So yeah I'll defend OP here and his right to say it. It IS dumb that people have to wait forever and a day to get 100% of a game. DLC is one thing. Players on different playing fields because of when they could afford it is wrong either way.

 

Maximize profits? Pretty sure $60 is $60. They have your money. Extra specializations don't cost extra. So why not include them in the game to begin with? Stupidity that's why.

Sorry. Had to get that outta my system. People used to treat me like that when I was new here too. Made me wanna up and leave but I didn't and now I made tons of friends. It's worth it, just hang in there.

 

And to address the OP to close, yeah I agree. My brother in law just got the game too for Christmas. While I have no doubt they will be included at a later date it sucks that you have to wait at all to get a complete gaming experience. Best thing I can recommend is enjoy the road to SR-70 and when you get there, just keep playing. The road is always richer than the destination friend.

$60 is $60, yes, but they also collect interest from pre-orders. So by having something available only to early players, it provides incentive for customers to go out and pre-order, so that they are guaranteed to get the game early. Thus making Microsoft a profit.

gee you are touchy.. op has only made 2 posts, one of which is a complaint about something..what he's complaining about is unclear but i'm guessing codes..which is why I asked "what are you complaining about?" I genuinely wanted to know.

You asserted that i'm high and mighty since i got mine? Check my location.. im in the UK and as such unable to get early codes. I have to slug it out along with everyone else (early codes were for US only).

 

So next time you want to insult someone in a 'friendly fan forum' take the time to check yourself before you post. The amount of posts next to your name doesn't make you better than me or more of a fan. Your retort just makes you out to be a bit of an ***.

cheers dude, I can understand how people mis-read my posts sometimes, if you check what i've said on other threads you'll find i try and help people out when i can. Im a grandfather and an avid gamer, I don't have time for squabbles..too busy trying to work and raise 2 families..

Lol. Right on! I'm only a dad: a little too young for being a grand dad. (I hope). Lol. Squabbling isn't my thing either. But then again neither is being a blind follower.
