According to a press release sent out to all media today from Evolve PR, the first trailer for the upcoming title "Cyberpunk 2077" has finally debuted. This title has already been confirmed by tweets sent out a little while back from when CD Projekt's Adam Kiciński sent out a handful of tweets confirming "Cyberpunk 2077" and "The Witcher 3" for current and next-generation systems. "Unnanounced dark fantasy title ("Witcher 3?") is in more advanced stages than "Cyberpunk 2077". "Cyberpunk 2077" is the first in a series, both games are larger than The Witcher, both are multi-platform. "2013 will be smaller stuff for CDP RED, no Witcher-caliber release. Witcher for iPhone - too early to say anything, but not impossible. "No Witcher for PS3 next year, they want TW on Playstation, but not current gen. "Both TW3 and CP2077 will appear on next gen consoles," Kiciński said. What do you think about the trailer? "The teaser shows how the Psycho Squad might acquire a new member. The Psycho Squad specializes in combating 'psychos' – individuals who overuse implants and substances that boost or otherwise alter the human body. "There comes a point when they overdose on these innovations, and their bodies start to rebel against their biological body parts as well as against all things organic around them. Simply put, they start killing people, who they now derisively call 'meatbags.' "When a psycho goes on the rampage, strange things can happen. There’s going to be a lot of carnage, so the psycho might be taken down by regular police, but they’re not always able to get the job done. "When things spin out of control, they call in MAX-TAC (Maximum Force Tactical Division), popularly called the 'Psycho Squad'. And these guys are exceptional, these guys are crack troops. The fact that they’re proud of that name tells you a bit about their mindset. "They wear a badge with their official emblem on their right sleeve, but their left is reserved for their unofficial Psycho Squad emblem. It’s primitively made and the image itself is on the crude side of things. "It’s not unlike a badge special force operators might make and wear to distinguish themselves from the ranks of grunts in any theatre of war," said Badowski. The game is said to be an open-world title set during the year 2077 in Night City. SuperIntendant Posted January 11, 2013 Report Share Posted January 11, 2013 Given that it's just a teaser trailer for the game I doubt it's made in the game engine, so you can't really judge the console's abilities off of it. As for the game, it looks like just a futuristic version of Prototype with a title screen ripped straight off of some unmade Daft Punk album. The Lenny( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Posted January 11, 2013 Report Share Posted January 11, 2013 I thought the teaser was very well made and that the game itself should get some big attention because it is the first game with a trailer out for the 720. I can't wait to see some gameplay trailers or gameplay in general of this game. I think this will be a big hit as it will most likely be a launch game.
