Dog
Source-TgDaily Right now, Ubisoft is developing several of its biggest titles to become movies, including Assassin’s Creed and Splinter Cell. Ubisoft is developing the movie adaptations in house, and will then take the packages around to potential studios. Other than Halo, which was recently shot as a webisode series, the big daddy that would make an obvious movie is Call of Duty. The latest installment of Call of Duty, Black Ops 2, has been doing huge business. It’s the #1 game of the year, and it made a billion dollars in fifteen days. Except now there’s a report on Entertainment Weekly that in all likelihood there won’t be a Call of Duty movie. Bobby Kotick, the CEO of Activision, apparently mentioned this off hand in a profile in the New York Times, where he said he’s not very interested in doing a Call of Duty movie, and has already turned down inquiries from several studios. The reason? Video game movies are terrible, they don’t make the fans happy, and they could give the brand a bad name. Black Ops 2 had David Goyer (The Dark Knight Rises) co-writing the script, along with a theme from Trent Reznor, and it certainly has the elements for a great blockbuster movie. But maybe in this case it’s better to have blockbuster elements in a game instead of trying to actually bring the game to the big screen. And with video games now coming under fire for violence, especially Black Ops 2, it might be wise to lay low on a movie adaptation of the game, at least for right now. We still don’t have a great, or even a decent, video game movie adaptation, and while Black Ops 2 may seem like a perfect choice for one that could finally break the cycle, maybe it’s best there won’t be a Call of Duty film. But if we finally have some good video game movies that make big bucks, maybe Activision will change its minds and decide to bring Call of Duty to theaters. Barack Obama
I don't really see the point of making a movie about CoD. It's just going it be a normal war film but with a different name.
SykoWolf
the only CoD Game worth Movie making is Black ops in My opinion... Mainly because it has a strong story .....with Sam Worthington >:

HappehNinja
I think if this movie would be done right, it would be better than most movies nowadays... Still, I'm with Barrack, it would just be a normal war film. Nothing too special. However, you know what would be awesome? A Halo movie... on the big screen. halo reach/4 forger
NAAA IT WONT HAPPEN COD has no plot to work with well BO being an exeption. if they do make a COD movie i think it would be best to go with black ops 1 that had a strong story. hoowever i want treyarch and infinity ward to try out different games or take longer than a year to make COD then i would see if its any better. the reason the COD developers are so lazy is look at ODST that was made in a year then look at how different ODST is from traditional halo they done that in a year as well as firefight. COD on the other hand is the same game (for the most part) and ODST shows just how much can be done in a year.
Shadow Killer
CoD will probably not make a movie because there is already too many war movies and it probably won't be very good :wallbash:
BeckoningZebra1
COD doesn't really need a movie, HALO needs a movie more so than most games right now, imagine watching Master Chief go to alien planets and fight the covenant and Forerunners for 80-120 minutes! xD
