QuartzToenail
Hello all, this is my 1st post !! Halo 4 forge is actually pretty sweet. I was able to put my map together waayyyy faster. I guess it helped that i knew the controls already, ...but it's still MUCH tighter than Reach forge. magnets are your friend lol i'm still adjusting extract points and stuff like that. i wonder why i always have to restart the video to make the beginning play..but anyway, here is the link to a preview of my map thanks http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8X-t0yuwR8
GryffinGuy007
After forging about 5 maps so far, I'm not sure if I enjoy Halo 4's forge over Reach's or not. Just wish you could sill zoom, and precision forge. Nice map, by the way.

It is just a little bit different

Guest ducain23
Y U NO TELL! It is hard to explain in text... but I will be doing a video over it soon and I will post it in Forge forum
BaconShelf
It is hard to explain in text... but I will be doing a video over it soon and I will post it in Forge forum Yay! I can't stand the lack if two of the most fundamental aspects of forge. Thank you!
DarkStar
ducain is right. There are ways, its just different. One way when moving objects horizontally, it to hold the object then position yourself above it, this will dramaticly slow its movement speed an allow precision placement. When moving objects up and down I use what I call the double tap. Basically tap the bumper to move the object, then tap the A button to drop it. If you do this very quickly, the object will move only slightly, and with a little practice you'll be forging as precisely as you did on Reach. halo
I used to make fantastic maps in Halo reach and i expected halo 4 would be easier and funner but i think it's harder and the maps take out the creativity (Blocks and stuff) to make lots of cool maps. The new forging makes me mad because i couldn't get my map smooth and i play it over and over and The map always had bumps due to the new tools. But i think halo reach is far superior than halo 4 in a lot of things other than forge too. But halo 4 is basically halo 4 is halo reach but with classes and worse forge. Anyways, halo 4 forge sucks not to start an argument that is going to go very bad.

Just curious, are you talking about bumps in the floor? or where flipped, non matched peices didn't z-align correctly? lots of complaints of no Forgeworld, but I found Impact to be close enough. vStealthYx
i prefer halo reach in the way you had space and all the tools like 4x4 squares
SykoWolf
Halo 4 Forge is great imo...... it works well on many levels, but people are upset that they dont have larger maps....so this begs the question..should they just make another forge world and add it to the current forge worlds? TornadoFlame
the issue is halo 4 lacks the options. we want options when you make a title a upgrade you put all the theses from past title then the new things.
DoctorB77
You can actually still do precision forging in Halo 4... It is just a little bit different I can not wait to know The apparent lack of precision editing is what i thought to be the biggest flaw in halo 4. AbandonedCashew
For everyone complaining about no precision editing, if you are looking down on the object youre moving, it goes slower. And magnets almost eliminates the need for it anyway... Just thought Id share.
mwhc29
i like halo 4 forge... it's like a big lego set.
haloman 2
i like halo 4's forge too. i like it a bit better than i did reach. with reach i could never align things up correctly and everything would be off by a few inches. and once i finally spent like 4 hours on finally getting the walls, ground, and rooftops aligned perfectly i would one on to forging weapons and vehicles but what would always happen would be i'd mess up with the weapon a little bit like a turret for example and it would tip over on the ground so you couldn't shoot out the window and then what happened would is i'd try to grab the weapon and i'd be like right in front of it and i'd somehow grab the structure and move slightly and mess everything of my perfect work up. so i like halo 4's forge better because i always happen to line them up just perfectly even if i accidentally move it i can refix it again unlike reach. i do like both forges though and i agree that in ways and a few things reaches forge is much better. definitely space. that's what i think the biggest flaw with halo 4 is. Creative Gaming Inc.
Maps are much quicker and less tedious to build, and indoor maps can have very unique atmospheres, but it is just so, so, so broken in so many ways.
