Composite Armour
Alright, this is basically a fusion of Firefight and invasion. It has two teams, Attackers and Defenders. It is a large AI and Player vs AI and Player Each round is broken up to five seven minute phases. During these phases, the attackers must complete the objective to advance the phase. Defenders must eliminate all enemy AI and deplete the players attacking players lives or survive until times up. Certain maps have unique support that can aid or hinder a side. Attackers: They must complete a series of objectives allowing their AI allies to advance. Three times during a phase, attackers will recive AI reinforcements at 5:00, 3:00 and 1:00. Upon completion of a objective, a resupply and extra reinforcements are provided. The defenders get tougher however. AI allies will treat enemy players as priority targets and will not be able to complete objectives. Attackers recive extra lives after completeing objectives. Defenders: Their objective is to eliminate all enemy AI and Players or survive the time limit. They recive reinforcements only after an objective has been lost and will have a superior poistion to attackers. AI will prioritise defending the objective. It's a covie vs UNSC gametype. EliteSniper
I have thought something similar some time ago, but this is just awesome! It looks like Invasion 2.
PlexVanguard
Might just work with the 720 engine. I like the strategy involved, but find a way for players to command the AI. Also if this is gonna work, Nerf the needler. Covies destroy with those things.
Composite Armour
I did think about commanding the AI somewhat, but I did not see a way it could be done easily without detracting from the expierence. It's easier to just let them go themselves. Plus, their target prioritys should have them at the center of the action.
ShockBolt21
I like it, but there are so many vehicles in the final phase- the maps would need to be enormous. Also I like the idea of finally being able to play as covenant and attack human AI's. BTW it's mongooses, not mongeese! (As mentioned clearly and humorously in this video from 4:00 to the end) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ROYevjLS7-I

It's easier to just let them go themselves. Plus, their target prioritys should have them at the center of the action. You could have 3 basic orders, like attack, retreat, cover/defence. This way your troops would be more efficient
Composite Armour
Who get's to command them though? Attack what? Retreat to where? It would be akward to use and is probably best left out. Though there could be an option to command grunts to suicide charge.....
Surveillance
This sounds interesting. I would definitely play it! But it would be hard to implement. Maybe on the 720....
