BlueJapBoi
I wish there was a practice mode where you could play with other people online, where the amount of kills and death that you get don't matter. It's just for you to get better at playing against other people online. Why I say this is because I don't have a good k/d ratio, and I would like to improve that. I also would like to be able to just fool around and just run around killing where I won't be sad if I get a poor k/d score. Anyone else feel this would be fun and cool? probably my BR
Anytime you play the game you are getting practice. Especially since there is no ranking system and you can easily play against good people. Once the ranking system comes you will get matched up to people closer to your skill. But would't count on ever seeing a practice playlist.
RedStarRocket91
Well, you could always just play Custom Games, because that tracks your K/D separately from your Matchmaking career. Also, I think I remember hearing somewhere that the new competitive playlist will also track your K/D separately from everything else, so that basically turns every other playlist into something where you can just play without having to worry about getting a good K/D. If you have difficulties getting enough people on your friend list to play customs with you, you could also try starting a topic in the Game Invitations section and play with other people from our forums, join in with one of the Custom Game Nights hosted by Spades N AZ every Friday evening, or come along to one of our Community Play Dates, where Halo 4 is the fourth weekend of every month. You can also check the Contests and Events thread schedule to see if anything special is coming up. Good luck, and I hope this helps you get the practice you want!

If this were to become a reality I would be on it all the time. I dont give the north end of a southbound duck about K/D and since this mode wouldnt track it I would be more than happy to spend all my time in it. I dont enjoy being judged based upon my 0.87 K/D. Too many people dismiss me as worthless when I bring a whole lot more to a team than just a K/D. probably my BR
Custom's is a good idea for practice. Customs does has its down falls though. Its hard just to get a good party started when you want and people with bad connection will ruin a custom match. But if you really want the best practice start playing gamebattles. If you don't got a team play 1v1 and its super competitive. You will always play against someone good and with a good connection. Not everyone but most people will give you tips and tell you stupid mistakes you make. Good way to meet players as well. And after you play gamebattle's for a while matchmaking is a peice of cake. ProudDrunkIrish
Why I say this is because I don't have a good k/d ratio, and I would like to improve that. I also would like to be able to just fool around and just run around killing where I won't be sad if I get a poor k/d score. This is not a game to worry about your K/D in, it does not mean anything, nothing can replace learning to play the game through playing team slayer. I have a positive K/D, I have no idea what it is and do not really care, if people judge me on it then great as they will get a nasty surprise. Remember its all about having fun and beyond that nothing matters. As for practice the best thing is custom games or join friends who may have some more experience, learn by following what they do, believe it or not youtube can show you some good things aswell, say watch how someone fly's a banshee etc. Have fun gaming. Velganice
To me the whole K/D thing reminds me of the arguing on the internet is like running in the Special Olympics thing. Honestly who cares? I think mine is positive, but if it wasn't it wouldn't bother me one bit because it's a damn game. My skill in Halo doesn't define who I am and it's sad that there are people out there who feel it does. I play Halo to have fun, not participate in an online ******** contest. You can have good days where you'll play great and roll over people, and can have bad days where you can't hit anything, at least that's how it goes with me. Don't worry about your K/D at all, don't sacrifice your team in pursuit of personal glory. As stated, one of the best ways to practice is via team slayer. Learn the maps, learn to work as a team, anticipate what your enemy will do, learn to quickly adapt to different situations, etc. Find a play style YOU enjoy and don't be afraid to try new things, even if they seem stupid. But most of all, have fun. It's a game, and once you start treating it like it's more the less fun you might end up having.

Surveillance
I don't think this would be a good idea. You get better as you PLAY the game.
