Earning your way to spartan status. In halo 5

What if you had to start out as a marine and then as you rank up 10 or 20 levels (depending on how hard it is) you get to be an odst then rank up 10 or 20 levels again as an odst and then get promoted into a spartan. This way only people who deserve to be a spartan will be a spartan for a while untill everyone else eventually gets there.

 

This would be working for multiplayer

It would alos work for other races if there is something like invasion in halo 5 as u starting as a grunt and working ur way up

I think we can start lower then a marine. There are army troopers too. They wear the kevlar and not the armour plates (the ones in reach too) then move on to marine and so on. Great idea by the way. I think the marines and Odst's need more credit.

I think this would be amazing, although to make it "even" don't give any extra boosters for ranked playlists, everyone should be just as strong. Or there could be "Marine Matchmaking" "ODST Matchmaking" and "Spartan Matchmaking" To play and use what you unlock so the playing grounds are even. It all comes down to how this system will affect the game and the gameplay. If there is to much advantage, some players will leap ahead taking advantage of the advantage... so to speak... So again those fail safes would be good. Like I know a marine wont be able to lift a turret like a Spartan. So there will be differences; jumping height, running speed, shields, armor, etc.
