Halo 4 Ideas

OK to start off let me know what you think about this in the comments. I don't care if you you try to go against these ideas so let's get started

 

1. Lots of people been talking about terrain. I think its a good thing to do because if you played far cry 1 and 2 you could create your map however you wanted it to be like making bumps or mountains stuff like that but in halo you just edit objects by putting blocks or rocks down this is very annoying because you have good ideas but you have to think how am i going to do that. we should get to make mountains or put down trees or make the weather conditions a snow storm or rain. instead of putting this in campaign put it in Forge to make maps come alive with more excitement and make it so we can change the time of day(And make a big forge world map in space for space battles)for instance a infection map in rainy environment when the sun has gone down and the zombies has come out to get the humans just picture that in your head and make a huge map like twice in size as forge world.

 

 

2. Everyone has been talking about vehicles i have almost heard about every vehicle in halo. so some people want the pelican and phantom drivable i would agree with them because just think invasion having a pelican driver dropping off people while the core is trying to be captured and the pelican driver having a pick up point for the person with the core. i mean it would make halo so awesome to have vehicles like this in forge.Anyways more vehicle people have talking about is the corvette and the frigate like the frigate Savannah. i personally don't know what to say about this but it would be cool to make them fighting in space make a map like that or something.some more are drop pods. i hate how people try to make there own drop pod in halo 3/halo reach it annoys me because there cheesy they suck you die when you hit the ground and they fall apart during mid-flight but if you could make a UNSC/Covenant drop pod that would be awesome if you could do this. because since halo 3 ODST i always wanted ride in one of those in halo 3.and I've heard people say make it so we can put camo on vehicles i think it would be cool but only some vehicles not all and make so we can spawn crashed vehicles in forge.

 

 

3. i think you should add those beams that shoot off the top of the towers like Valhalla in halo 3. there is one in forge world.anyways i think it would be cool to make your own objects but you don't have to put that in. but make so we can forge big towers i mean fighting in between two towers that would be awesome. and you should make it so in forge we can spawn dead body's like any kind of body's like covenant or human body's and make it so we can spawn blood so can make bloody mess so we can put it on the walls or on the ground in forge.

 

 

4. you should make game types like so you can be different characters like brute slayer or infection where you can play as the flood or grunt slayer all those different characters do not deserve to be unplayable but the Engineer i can live without.and we should be able to choose are character matchmaking to a Spartan, a Brute, a Marine and a Elite and i heard people talking about how you should make a new race game type but instead of using land vehicles use air vehicles.

 

 

5.Theater mode is cool but sometimes i dont get the point of it keep it the same but please try do this. add a video editer where you can add a short video to your map either at the beginning or the end i think it would so cool for instance before you play you map you watch a short video clip that you made in theater mode. i mean just vitalize your in a pelican giving instructions to marines when a banshee shoots you down then the survivors get out of the wreck and then the game starts by the crashed pelican.

 

See halo is such a awesome game and it's so cool what we can do already but imagining taking that to the next level.

I like the start of this thread. Some really good ideas you have there. I know that with the tech limits and keeping development tools out of the hands of the public, we will never see custom bsp mesh creation in any form in a halo game. It would be cool to see pre-fabbed terrain chunks we could place in a blank skybox though. The beams are actually scenery items and I am suprised Bungie didn't allow us to use them. In fact, there are tons of items they should have let us use from the shared resource map file. But oh well maybe we will get use more things in H4?

 

The vehicles YES!!!!!! For once let us pilot those epic drop ships or pelicans and longswords. Throw the scarab in there too! Epic win-ness all around!

 

I'm not sure about the dead bodies though. Most of the dead body stuff used in the Halo games is just a solid model with no animations of permutations. The dead bodies from players or enemies is a permutation to the model file that uses rag-doll physics. In order to spawn them, you would have to spawn a biped with no health and have a death zone actually kill it. Otherwise it would run around at you.

 

I think incorporating other characters from the franchise would be awesome. Instead of the basic armory for Spartans, you could have wardrobe closets full of outfits for every character of the game. That would be beast playing multiplayer as Miranda Keys or a grunt. Hilarious things would happen! I'm all for Cortana t-bagging a brute!

Drop pods, space ships and space battles, all the vehicles and maps that are both air to air and land battles. With glassing, mac cannons and everything else. Slightly like Battlefield 3 (check out the Caspain border trailer, so you know whatI mean) havethat sort of air to air/air to ground, but with Halo stuff, different gamplay and crusers. Make it a Halo, not a Battlefield. Halo's would be far more epic.
