Ever since its release in November, Guild Wars 2 has been going by means of a great deal of adjustments inside the first 6 months of introduction. I'm not certain whether this really is a frantic push to keep items fascinating or sheer boredom on the dev teams, but they are going for the gold it appears. The existing living story event, Flame & Frost has been adding more & more content since January, at the moment sitting at the half-way point in the story.

Flame & Frost has added a new story line implying that the Flame Legion, the antagonistic fire-worshipping Charr, plus the Dredge, a tyrannical mole-like folks, have joined forces to attempt & conquer the Northern regions, forcing other races to seek refuge in the south. As a part of the fighting force of guild wars 2 gold players, you'll be tasked with driving this incursion back so that prosperity can continue in the north... well, as much as one can expect as we've nonetheless got one of the world-ending dragons living up there.

A number of new additions and changes have cropped up in the mean time, although sadly, none of which included a P2P trade program, or Guild Halls for that matter. Still, people who have come to fruition are nice little additions, no less.

Day-to-day achievements have altered a bit, on the whole with the PvE Daily's, as now you have a bigger variety to decide on from for specific PvE events, permitting you to do items like killing a Champion-grade monster, to gathering a good deal of materials. In conjunction with the Living Story portion is the addition of the Living Story achievement which when completed earns you rewards and titles, as a part of the existing Flame & Frost event, you'll be helping refugees and fighting off conquering forces. With completing comes earning a new currency known as Laurels which enable you to purchase items from particular Laurel vendors, from one of a kind infusions, armors, & other such items. You will gain one laurel per completed every day achievement, and 10 laurels per 1 completed monthly achievement.

Fractals of the Mists, implemented last year during the Lost Shores event, has observed an update to where joining a lower level guild wars 2 item player earns you more karma, though nonetheless only offers you the same quantity of rewards as the lowest Fractal level player in the group. While there were disconnection troubles which forced you out of the Fractals, & your team all of the weaker for it, you can now reconnect to your team without this hindrance, together with connect to a group that's already in the Fractals event.

Guesting enables for players to log into a distinct world shard, allowing them play with friends on one of a kind servers, without making a character move. With guesting comes restrictions, to be sure, such as being region locked, WvW access restricted to your home world, allowed only 2 distinct worlds to access in a given 24 hour period, & any guild influence obtained added to your home-world guild. Guesting negates the gem fee of a full transfer, yet with limitations, as listed already, so in the event you have a friend on a different server who doesn't need to pay the fee to switch, you can still play with them for a limited time, & my guest as generally as you wish, as lengthy as the server is not full.

Together with these new additions comes Guild Missions. These are a brand new mission subset that enables for guilds to partake in a persistent instance for a number of group-focused problems to solve. Between jumping puzzles to speed problems to solve, you'll earn merits & guild-focused upgrades, in addition to further Guild Missions.

PvP has been given a number of rather common adjustments, a rotation alter up & round count have already been altered, however I'm not a immense PvP guy myself. They added a brand new map in there, so you will at least get to see a few new scenery in there. 1 of the more interesting, and almost certainly most game-altering is the removal of character culling in WvW, instead working with place-holder models to change load times for the better.

More particulars can be gleaned from the Game Update notes posted on the Guild Wars 2 event page, which includes World Polish updates that have aided in balancing everything dungeons, story missions, player classes, & general bugs. So far the modifications haven't been too grandiose, playing more along the lines of a DLC pack, barring the unnecessary cost of admission for something so modest, however the end of the year will see an expansion, as what was announced last year. Quite a few are speculating what will be included, however it the general speak is that of a brand new class & playable race. Many hope to see new weapons added to the armory, such as 2-handed axes.

For this gamer, I wouldn't mind obtaining an extra character slot or 2 if I got to play as a Tengu Ranger, or Kodan Guardian.

Expect more updates at this Living Story continues to widen.
