WTF is with everyone and their mother having Incineration Cannons, Rocket launchers, Snipers ect.. I was playing a game of Domination, and every member of the opposing team had a freaking rocket launcher,, I can run out of DMR ammo but guy with the heavy weapon will always have easy access to ammo. What happened to when their was one rocket, one sniper on a map? Finding the weapon and using it to help your team or give you an edge on FFA was what that was all about. Now you get a mantis or wraith and BAM 2 peeps have Lasers (which are so much weaker then they used to be ) trained on you. I like the idea of Ordinances, I think all game types that can use it should or whats the point of having it? Take out all the weapons that are not part of our available loadouts off the maps. Let us get our laser or binary rifle from our Ordinance drops. Yea not every one will have the same amount of drops but thats just like before, once one team or team member had the sniper, no one else could unless they killed him or he was killed. What was the point in giving every one access to everything all from the get go? One session of Domination there was a Rocket, Sniper, and LMG on both starting areas or close to them on either side. With 2 lasers at the center base.. Little too much firepower for me. I understand games now have to make sure EVERYTHING and counter EVERYTHING or someone will cry that it is unbalanced or something is OP.. But I miss when you and 2 buddies could jump in a PUMA (Warthog) and cause some damage and just have a hell of a time rolling around the map.. now its boom rockets or zap laser ( not to mention that small arms fire from 2 or more enemies destroys all vehicles.. LAME) before you can really get a run started. Want that Scorpion tank on team slayer? Too bad, my team already has 3 rockets and a plasma blast heading at you before you can even move out of the alcove. SORRY. Ohh snap! you managed to survive that somehow? No worries my trusty DMR will finish you off in 3-4 hits anywhere i choose to place them. Now i love the Mantis, wish it had a few more tricks to it but its still fun and deadly as is. THAT SAID.. give me a chance to play maps with different vehicle sets, and why are all your maps so small and compact? Bring back Blood Gulch and that Icy horseshoe one.. I wanna have some tank on tank battles where we can move around, or have some PUMA chases. Back on topic.. lets have some map variants with just the 3 puma types, or some other setup. Maybe have one with extra Mantises, stop with the "new" game variants Team Sniper.. wait a sec thats just SWAT with snipers ( you tricky tricksters) You split up 2 game types that could be combined but you cram odd ball in with king of the hill and regicide \(>.<)/ Bring back rocket race oh wait none of your maps are large enough or open enough Or simply make the larger vehicles a bit tougher, and by a bit I actual mean a lot, and by a lot I mean so me a freaking tank that can realistically be taken out by 4 men with rifles... you cant. With the exception of a few weapons platforms designed for that, It doesnt happen. So why then in the HALO universe does it makes sense? Im not saying make them invincible, but we all played the preceding HALO entries and we can all see how the scorpion tank for example has gotten weaker and weaker and puts out less and less damage. Shall I mention the BAnshee? No? Ok.. Side note.. If you made larger maps, maybe you could bring back that human plane or even bring in those new oversized pelicans ( dont say its OP we all know 2 people will have lasers or rockets ) to provide some more fun to the raining down a hail of death aspect to your enemies. Any way Im just saying that they OVERBALANCED this game in my opinion. I love it and enjoy playing it, so dont start with the learn to play or im a hater comments. Im not the best at Halo nor am I the worst. Well let me know what you guys think and maybe ( lol i know.. never) 343 will change some things. Chris Hansen Posted March 14, 2013 Report Share Posted March 14, 2013 Dominion is the most power weapon laden gametype in halo 4. The 3 bases constantly spawn random ordnance every 30 seconds and most of the time they are rocket launchers, sniper rifles, and other power weapons. The map seems to have a factor in what spawns too, if your on exile, expect a massive amount of rocket launchers and saws and sniper rifles. If your on meltdown, expect nothing but Promethean ordnance. As for vehicles being weak, they do suck in halo 4, but you can double their durability but using wheel-man combined with the explosive perk.
