Seeker of Truth
Okay, here's how I'd like to see Halo 5's campaign going down. Post feedback and comments. The Chief is being debriefed on Earth. Meanwhile Jul 'Mdama is tracked to a previously unexplored Halo (1, 2, 6 or 7). Jul still has the Janus Key. Infinity heads to the Halo to take the key. The Chief along with various human forces begins exploring the ring and fighting the Covenant Remnant. They find that Halsey has sided with Jul 'Mdama and is assisting his forces by remotely sabotaging UNSC equipment. The Chief finds a massive structure, and finds the Ur-Didact inside it. The Didact releases thousands of Prometheans throughout the ring. In space the battle swings in favor of the Covenant remnant (with help from Halsey's sabotage of UNSC technology). The UNSC quickly goes on the defensive. A sub-division of the Covenant remnant who still believe in the Prophets aquire the Activation Index. The remaining Spartans must defend the control room. The remaining ships of the Arbiter's fleet abruptly arrive in orbit and begin assisting the UNSC. The Ur-Didact disables the Arbiter's flagship, forcing it to land on the ring. Covenant Remnant forces and Prometheans attack the crashed ship. The Chief and remaining Spartans assist Elites and Grunts at the flagship. Jul 'Mdama, leading an assassination team, breaks into the flagship and goes after the Arbiter. Jul finds and duels with the Arbiter. He severely wounds the Arbiter (non-fatally, though, possibly cuts off one of his arms), but the Arbiter still manages to kill Jul. The other half of the Janus Key is taken by the UNSC. The mixed UNSC and Elite forces push the intruders off of the downed ship. The Chief leads a push to attack the Ur-Didact, but he escapes from the ring. The Arbiter, disabled, decides to stay behind and destroy the Halo ring. The UNSC fleet and the Arbiter's fleet evacuates the Halo while the Arbiter destroys his flagship's reactor, sacrificing himself. The remaining ships in the UNSC fleet (including Infinity) and the remaining ships in the Arbiter's fleet agree to find the Didact and end the war once and for all. Whether Halsey survived is left ambiguous until Halo 6. In the Legendary ending, the Ur-Didact is shown with another Composer.
Victory Element
That is what I call a story! This sounds like a classic halo plot, because it puts the UNSC and its allies at a disadvantage throughout the sequence of events. I love how you were able to incorporate the arbiter, the Didact, and the prometheans back into the campaign. It is very unlikely that prometheans would be on a halo installation though, and think they are extinct with the total destruction of requiem. otherwise the story seems phenomenal! This will allow for some great drama and intense action that somewhat lacked in halo 4. hopefully a better soundtrack too. I guess we will just have to wait to see what occurs in the second season of Spartan ops
Jam
I love the idea. But where will they be able to "make Cheif more human?" If you can make it so that that was incorporated into it then i would be happy. but im not complaining its great story idea and i applaud your effort.
