Sikslik7
Puzzle #2 still unsolved: http://www.343industries.org/forum/topic/27425-forum-mind-puzzles-2/ The following is a proof that 2 equals 1. a = b aa = ab aa-bb = ab- bb (a+b ) (a-b ) = b (a-b ) a+b = b b+b = b (since a=b ) 2b = b 2 = 1 Now what's wrong with this? Sikslik7
aa = bb Not "aa = ab"? nope, because I multiplied both sides by "a"
Is not JL
I'm starting. Wait up! EDIT: I thinks I gots it. (a+b ) (a-b ) = b (a-b ) a+b = b If a=b, then a - b = 0. As anything multiplied by 0 = 0, it should end up as 0 = 0 instead of a+b = b. It can only end up as a + b = B if a - b =/= 0. Because a - b = 0, then this execution is invalid. Am I correct or am I correct?
