Axilus Prime Posted April 29, 2013 Report Share Posted April 29, 2013 For story, I give it to Halo 4. Now for gameplay, Halo 4 is now very low on my list because it's so fragging easy. Reach may very well become my new favorite gameplay whenever I can re-try it (I realized the only reason I hated it before was because I was too sick to enjoy the difficulty), but for now, out of the games, here is my ranking from worst to best. Story: ODST, Reach, CE, 2, 3, 4. Gameplay (Out of what I've played, and Reach is undecided): CE (Screw you, glitchy hitboxes!), 4, 3. Halo 2 was just thrilling, the story was so much deeper and more lively than in CE and I loved being an Elite and fight Sesa Refumee. Halo Reach was sad, emotional, dark and watching all these heroic attempts fail and all of the characters you learned to love fall was jsut heartbreaking. The concept that you are fighting for something while knowing the exact ending of the story was just a masterpiece in terms of atmosphere. Maestro Posted June 9, 2013 Report Share Posted June 9, 2013 Halo 2 and 3 were my favourite campaigns. They had a wider variety of objectives: go here, destroy that, find this, press a button, defend this, etc. Halo 4 seemed to have the same objective over and over again: press a button/insert Cortana into a computer system. I also liked 2 and 3 for story as well. 2 was a more serious game; you thought you defeated the Covenant. Think again. They're back and meaner than ever; and then, you get to play as them and experience plot twist after plot twist. 3 was the end of the war, and it truly felt like it. The ending was brilliant; Halo 4's announcement actually annoyed me from a story standpoint. Then, Halo 4's story didn't really intrigue me. As I said, it was get Cortana to the next place over and over again. Cortana creeped me out, and so did the bond her and the Chief had. The ending didn't make me sad. The Stig Posted June 9, 2013 Report Share Posted June 9, 2013 Whoa! There are WAY to many great games for me to pick just one!... But if I had to pick, I would have to go with "Ocarina Of Time"... It is such a fun game, and it is even more a classic than Halo or Pokemon. Now if I had to Pick just my favorite Halo game based solely on Campaign, I would have to go with either Halo 2 or Halo 3.
