Post your dream computer here. It can be anything a laptop, desktop, ETC. It can be custom built, or just one that you want to buy from a local store. Here's mine. And yes, it will be custom built. By me and a "friend." Which you all may never know. ;)

Case: Obsidian Series 650D

Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD5

CPU: AMD FX-8150 Zambezi 3.6GHz Socket AM3+

RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum 16GB (4x4GB)

Graphics Card: ASUS ROG ARES II Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition

Power Supply: CORSAIR AX1200i 1200W

Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar Blue 500 GB

SSD: SAMSUNG 830 Series 2.5-Inch 128GB

Cost: About $4200

Not sure abou full cost. That was an estimate. It might be more than this.

An Alienware ALX R4 with the following specs:

CPU - Second Generation Intel Core i7-3820 (10M Cache+Overclocked-4.1GHz)

Operating System - Windows 8 64-bit; English

RAM - 8GB Quad Channel DDR3, 1600 MHz

Video Card - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 1.5GB GDDR5

Hard Drive - 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 3Gb/s

Sound Card - Integrated 7.1 Channel Audio

Optical Drive - 24x CD/DVD Burner (DVD+/-RW) + Double Layer Write

Chassis - Alienware Aurora ALX Chassis

In all, about $1,600 excluding keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers, etc. With those, estimated about $1,800-$2,000.

Remember, this is my dream computerm but within budget. In other words, affordable yet dream. My full on, turbo dream, would be around $5,000.

  • Do not use over sized text for a whole post.
  • Alienware is for idiots, it isn't even that good at all.
  • On your specification you missed PSU and motherboard.
  • Just don't buy Alienware. Just no. Don't even THINK about it.

I would have to say my dream computer would have to be the The Blue Gene/P supercomputer or DeepQA artificial intelligence supercomputer. :3

:gsd:

You want Watson. :3

I wish for that too. :3

I bought one, I'm using the same one to type this very exact sentence.

Don't get one, well don't get an X51 to be exact, I'm going to have to spend hours trying to see if I can modify the computer so it can run off a proper PSU not a power brick.

Calm down. I don't HAVE to remember EVERY detail. And let me use whatever font I like, unless I can't use bigger fonts in threads, by the rules (not YOUR rules). And when were YOU supposed to decide which computer I wish for, and not even gonna get it, on a 95% chance? You could of adviced me in afriendly manner, rather then LOOKING for mistakes I make, and just saying that a certain thing is for idiots. Why couldn't you have simply put it, "I wouldn't recommend Alienware, frankly, because of *your reason*. :D" . Notice the "smiley face"? Yeah.
