Popular Post RedStarRocket91
On behalf of all of us at 343i.org and THFE, I would like to extend a massive thank-you to everyone who was able to make yesterday's playdate as fantastic as it was, whether you were watching one of the live-streamed lobbies, signing up and taking part personally, or just helping spread the word. This is the single largest event we've ever had by quite some margin, and it literally couldn't have been done without you. You guys are absolutely amazing and getting a chance to spend a few hours hanging out with you, shooting at you, and in one case screaming like a little girl as I was pursued round and round the same corner over and over again by one of you with a gravity hammer and the unlimited sprint package, was an absolute pleasure! I'd also like to extend my personal thanks to both Drizzy_Dan and AbleSir Thomas for their incredible and tireless work behind the scenes, from organising and structuring everything in the first place, to doing extensive playtesting of literally dozens of maps so that we'd have only the best the game has to offer, to hosting and streaming their own lobbies on the day. I've never hosted a playdate of my own before, and these two made it so much easier and less stressful for me than I was expecting - without either of them, the playdate wouldn't have come close to being as awesome as it was, so if you enjoyed it half as much as I did, make sure to let them know! In addition, I'd like to recognise the work and efforts of a few more people. In no particular order; all of the forgers who made an extra effort to have their maps tested and polished in time for the playdate, and who were happy for us to use their work; Insignia, for his awesome announcement banner; AbleSir Thomas, for his brilliant announcement video; all of the players who saw that video, and decided to sign up to the site and join in as a result; GermanShepardD, for making it impossible to balance the teams in whatever lobby was in; JL X4, for his willingness to stream a second lobby; and finally, to all of the players who stayed with my lobby until the very end, in the full knowledge that they wouldn't be being streamed, but who were happy to make sure the lobby survived anyway. Everyone who attended will be receiving a playdate award soon - due to the unprecedented size of this event, and just how many people we had joining in across all three lobbies for the duration of the playdate, we're still compiling a list of everyone who attended, and we want to make sure we don't leave anyone out when it's time to hand out the awards. Rest assured though, it may take a little while, but you won't be left out! We also still have a full list of all the maps used in yesterday's playdate, and links to their download pages on Halo Waypoint. They'll also be staying in my fileshare for the rest of the month, if you'd prefer to find them in-game and would like a single spot to find them. Thankyou to everyone who helped make this special event so special, to everyone who came along to join, and especially to those who waited so patiently for a place in the lobbies to open up. You guys rock!
Is not JL
Got an idea. To everybody: If you're on he 'waiting' list, please, do start up a mini game and other stuff lobby that is invite only. It can work as a rest stop but keep the pace of all the participants who have been cycled out to keep running. Host of the lobby will constantly change, but when it does, please can the host ensure an eye kept on the shout box. Also, yeah, there's been a MASSIVE inflow of new/unseen forum members who have popped up in this play date. Awesome!
Frankenzer
We might need more hosts the playdate's gonna be a full house
Is not JL
If there's more than 48 people.... Otherwise we can easily maintain 3 16-or-less lobbies. We just need to tell people to dont spam the shoutbox too much so the hosts have ease of comms.

Is not JL
That was a pretty fun game! I'd started out in Redstar's lobby, but then moved to help fill up Drizzy's. Ended up streaming it terribly for about 40 minutes on youtube, but that was that. The maps were fun, but repetitive due in fact to the reasons of 1. Forge Island couldn't be played in our lobby as some guy (Who may or may not be named D38-Boss) glitched it out, 2. Everybody made a map on Erosion or Impact, mostly Erosion, and 3. The one ravine map had this stupid, stupid kill zone. Overall it was pretty fun, I'd recorded some moments, hopefully enough are funny that it can be edited into a funtage, and I think it went well! If there's one thing I'd suggest, it's to start it up earlier so people in other timezones have a better chance of getting in, and also, switch around the lobbies a bit more. I'll do it... you know I can. And I still hold to the fact that it's Drizzy's fault. it only doesn't work when he Hosts...

Frankenzer
You did beast on the gauss while I was driving. Was that the one that blew my banshee up?
Is not JL
Was that the one that blew my banshee up? There wasnt a banshee on the map. It was the one with a mantis, a small indoors thing in the middle, 2 similar bases, and in between the bases and the middle structure was a little ramped-up platform. BaconShelf
It's a shame I was in splitscreen, my playing was less than average skills because of this. And I love how we found a big ony map which had never been seen before despite numerous play tests!
DN2012
After the lobby with AbleSir ended, me and 3 other players stuck around and played some of our own maps. It was pretty fun fun and in the end, I had 3 new people on my friends list. The game ended because I was hosting a game and them my internet decided to die.
