I've wanted to try and learn as many words in Sangheili as possible. I'd appreciate all the help I can get. Q. Where can you find examples of their language? A. There are a varitey of sources that provide examples of their language with translations. Campaign, Spartan Ops cutscenes, Spartan Ops Gameplay, and the Jul 'Mdama Terminal. Q. How do we know they use a grammar structure similar to our own? A. The voice actor for Jul 'Mdama himself confirmed that Sangheili is heavily based off of Japanese. Q. What if I'm unsure if I'm translating correctly? A. Post your findings in this thread and provide your source material so a group effort can be made. Right now, I'm trying to understand why they use english words for Didact, Forerunner, Promethean, Knight, and Artifact. Also, two words I'm stuck on: Uchanse - The most varied word I hear. Sometimes it sounds like 'Nchanse, Uchanse, or even Uchanke. Intoyuko - Sometimes they pronounce it very differently, like Intaiyuko for example.
