proEclipze
I'm trying to make a really cool game mode/map in Halo 4 that requires a King of the Hill game mode. The hill has to be "progressive" which is an option you can set in the game mode options. I want the hill to move in a certain order, from one hill, to the next in a specific order, and I have set each Hill to have it's own spawn sequence in order from 1 to 3 and did all the jazz with setting the hill to have it's TRUE settings and KOTH_hill specifics and stuff...and I've tampered with the game mode options and I made the hill (at least i set it to this) so that the hill moves after you get a certain number of points. The hill says "Hill Moved" in custom games when It reaches the number of points that is et (10) like it should, but it doesn't move to the next hill, it just respawns the same hill over, without moving to the next hill. I have tried to change the other hills to spawn at start TRUE, which means they'll all just spawn in even if their spawn sequence is in a specific order, and if i have spawn at start off, even with the spawn sequence on, they don't spawn at all, only the first hill respawns over. Please help!
Sikslik7
After some testing, I have found that you cannot force the hills to spawn in any specific order by settings in a gametype or by editing the hill zone in forge. Most of the time, the new hill will spawn in the best location for both teams. The game will try to spawn a new hill that both teams have to move to, and is typically equidistant for the teams. The only way to force a certain change in hills, ( which will work only part of the time) is to set up your spawns so that for each hill, the logical spawns for the game also would make the next hill a logical choice. For example, take this clock as your map: Now, let's say you have a hill at 12, 3, 6, and 9, and the first hill the game always starts with the hill as 12. You want the game to spawn the teams somewhere around 9 and 3, but closer to 12 than 6, so even if one team starts to much the other team back into their spawn, the game register the best hill as 6. It will take lots of patience and playtesting, but when it works, it will be worth it. Goodluck! And remember, the game measures distance as the crow flies, and through objects, not by the paths for players.

Also to OP very creative idea if you can get it to work right. Just make sure you keep an open ear and listen to what others may have as helpful advice.
