I just wanted to ask, what's the bright idea behind smashing the playlists together? Was it really so difficult to keep up on a separate big team playlists? I'm just curious as to the new updates on the Halo 4 frontier as this is a very disappointing game on the multiplayer flip side. I'm not here to start a fight as I am generally curious as to what the meaning is behind this. I understand games have to evolve to keep up with the current gaming demands but we all loved being able to chose between Big Team Slayer and Big Team Objective! I understand that people want to have more variety in their gaming experience but this is why there was a general assortment of playlists, as different as they were. Are you truly making a large portion of us chose between Halo 3, Reach before 4 even comes into play? I call shenanigans!

 

And now with the new DLC, don't get me started on that... Season pass my a$$.

Its because the community was so split they want more generalized playlist with bigger populations. Halo 3 did the same thing with required DLC in certain playlist. Plus more people who bought the season pass couldn't play the maps. If you don't want to buy the season pass just get Halo 4 GOTY. You save money + Get the DLC, and other exclusives goodies from last years Pre-Orders/LE Content. I honestly don't see whats the fuss about.

This is not 343i site, this is a fan made site that is run by the generous folks of the community, so sadly you will not get a response out of a representative of 343 Industries here. For that will need to go to the Halo Way Point fourms and try posting in the "Matchmaking" "Halo 4" or "Feedback" thread on the Waypoint forums. Then if you are lucky, BS Angel, B is for Bravo, or a moderator like Snickerdoodle or DavidJCobb will assist you further in the issue you are having and trouble you are experiencing. 

 

As to the issue with the playlist merging, I am very sorry to hear that your are not pleased, and I am very grateful you are concerned enough about this game to try to inform us of the issues at hand. But 343i alerted us ahead of time, in a bulletin they made in their weekly updates, http://blogs.halowaypoint.com/Headlines/post/2013/09/11/The-Halo-Bulletin-91113.aspx < This is said update.

 

343i basically is consolidating all the playlists to improve the behind the scene trueskill system so it matches players with a closer skill range to reduce the skill gap, it will also improve search times and load times, decrease lag, dramatically increase and improve chances that the DLC maps will show up in the voting rounds, balance out the overall population of the game so its not so scattered, and also optimize our experience,among other things.
