Something has to be done about the CHEATERS!!!

Dear 343i,

 

I am a long time Halo player and fan, and I have tried my utter best to remain a regular player on Halo 4 (even bought GotY edition to support you guys when I already have the regular game). But lately the community is RIFE with LAG SWITCHERS, and CHEATERS of all makes and models. This is causing people to quit like crazy and go find another game where people don't have deal with a**holes who have to cheat to win cause they are so poorly unskilled.

 

I would like to know what steps 343i is taking to PREVENT lag switchers, and other types of cheaters from competing with rest of us "fair fight" players?

 

I have got the response from someone on waypoint that "sometimes its just that a person has a poor connection and drags everyone else down with them." If this was the case then that same person (who every time I get close to them the lag starts going wild) would not have 25 kills on Big Team while everyone else has like 12-14 MAX.

 

This has gotta be stopped and I know you guys are awesome at making games, and am confident you guys are working on this already, but what advice can you give me to: 

 

1. Spot the Lag Switchers

2. Avoid them like the plague

3. Get them reported and booted once I find one the cheaters

 

Any suggestions would be awesome! I have invested about $2,000 dollars in the Halo games (bought everything that has ever been available for H4) and I do not want to end up hanging it up and not playing anymore because the game is infested with cheaters and there's nothing anyone an do about it.

 

On the chance you guys get around to reading this and end up telling me "there is nothing we can do about this issue" then I have another round of suggestions for you guys:

 

1. for future games (or patch if possible) untie the armor unlocks and the commendations from a War Games only platform (in other words let the player achieve the commendations though any game mode... kinda like how it was with Reach) that way I'm not this far along and still can't unlock Gungnir Armor because half of the games I play there is some heating A-Hole who lags us till he/she wins. I should be able to unlock commendations by kicking my friends asses on Custom Games just as easily as I would be able to with War Games.

2. Create a  bandwidth monitor that LOCKS OUT players who do not have a good connection from playing War Games (if you aint got juice to play... you get stuck ruining your friends lives at home only... but not people who wanna compete fairly and win fairly)

3. Allow people who join in-progress games to quit those games without being penalized... after all looses are a ***** and most people quit because of cheaters anyway... so why should I have to get stuck with them? AND suffer the loss because they are in 15 different places at once on the map!

 

Anyway sorry for the rant, but I love this game and do not want to see it ruined because A-Holes have to cheat to win and therefore discourage everyone else from playing (its getting to be like the domino effect online... people are dropping like flies lately)

Out of your 3 points the 2nd one is the most unfair. Really? Because someone doesn't have a good connection they get punished? That is ridiculously unfair. I agree with the 3rd point I don't like being penalized because I joined a losing game in progress. Also "cheaters" are extremely uncommon nowadays in fact probably 1/20 games has an actual lag switcher. What you call "lag switches" is actually just connection issues. Furthermore this is a community site NOT 343i. You're better off telling BSangel or posting on the Waypoint Forums

I get averaging 20-30 kills a game. Last time I checked, I don't cheat.
