I Still Believe

I STILL BELIEVE

 

 

I still believe,

In what Bungie did leave,

A game that was a giant,

Of which Xbox is reliant.

It was this game,

That brought shooter's fame,

All over the world,

American industry unfurled.

No more domination,

From companies of a foreign nation,

who had under containment,

My source of personal entertainment.

 

I still believe,

In what 343industries did conceive,

A game of new heights, 

Deemed by us as slights.

New concepts, new ideas,

A taco with two tortillas,

A bright light in the darkness,

But actually one of distress.

It was to be better,

A game to re-write the letter,

But without a single beta tester,

All it did was fester.

 

I still believe,

It is not time to grieve,

But time to look for the dawn,

Now that Bungie is gone.

They chose a different path,

And the next game received the wrath,

My best wishes go to them,

Even as they treat us like phlegm.

If Bungie had stayed,

And this is what they made,

Would you still be mad,

Or actually quite glad?

 

I still believe,

That the makers are naive,

Of our wishes and thoughts,

Of who really calls the shots.

They can't respond to the number drop,

Unless we act as their prop,

And make them always heed,

The community that can lead.

Share you ideas with each other,

And see what issues we can cover,

The goals we will discuss,

Can prevent the future fuss. 

 

I still believe, 

In what we can achieve,

If we just work together,

And bare the stormy weather.

Get the fires stoked in the forge,

Allow the ideas to disgorge,

Load your choice of rifle,

This is not a time to trifle!

This is our time to firmly act,

To make the biggest possible impact,

On the future of our beloved Halo,

So 343Industries does not fly solo.

 

I still believe,

The series is on the eve,

Of rekindling the fire,

Inciting everyone with desire.

Soon comes the day,

When we all will come and play,

To continue the game,

That we wish to un-lame.

Brothers and sisters,

Misses and misters,

Make that day,

Today.

The Halo community is slowly dwindling, and shows few signs of recovery. The next time the community will experience a surge will be when the next Halo is on the verge of launch. That will be too late. Many claim 343Industries does not listen. Maybe they just don't see a united front. Remember the DMR's advantage at the beginning of Halo 4? We were united, and 343I made the requested changes. We can make an impact, but only if we build a united front for the community to get behind and generate the game we want to be released to us.  

 

 

Let's work together to make Halo the best it ever was.

I love it! I have firmly been a super of Halo and 343 industries... even through the challenging parts. I totally agree. But I also think that the competitive players the forgers and the casuals all can agree on one thing. We want the next Halo to be the best yet.

I think everyone should think about that line.... because honestly, that's all bungie left us with.

I hope the Halo community does come back united as one like they used to be 343i need to do there part in this it took a long time of constant shouting as a community to get the DMR changed it was to long so I hope 343i take feedback and do it.

One of the biggest reasons for the dwindling Halo community is because of the lack of competitive support anymore
Remember how AGL10 screwed us over? MLG no longer supports Halo due to CoD being the game that replaced it. Funny because Reach was the cause of this

I understand it is just the competitive support but you have to remember there are a lot more games now then there was back in 2007 so that may also be a factor. 343i has been great to us giving us support and patches and updates. I love what they have been doing and I am going to do my best to help the next Halo really shine. I think we all are. It is thanks to awesome community sites like this that keep Halo on its feet that prevent it from becoming a niche game. 

We may not have the biggest fanbase anymore but we surely do have a dedicated one. Which counts for something.

Amazing. This poem makes people really think. I believe that the Halo community will stand strong. Unfortunately many players will be lost because not all want to buy the Xbox One. They will always be with us. We will not fall, not yet, not ever. There will always be those of us that have been their from the beginning. Together, we will keep the spirit of Halo alive. Halo is not a game...it's a story.
