Popular Post Dog
Hello members of 343 Industries Community Forum, never really spoke out through the entire website, but I can do this Lol. I am here to tell you about Our Fellow Staff Our Fellow Moderators And Our Fellow Admin. This forums staff work hard to keep this place in balance. They are not paid, or will they be in the future. The staff stood up to do this, and are never thanked enough, since it is always the same people liking, commenting, or just saying Thank You. There is so much going on behind the scenes that most of you do not know. The staff work there hardest, to see this forum grow! Twam brought this website up with his own money, and you gotta remember he isn't getting paid for running a website off his own money. Twam the Admin does so much to keep this website running, I myself do not even know in full extent what he does. But everybody should know what he is doing is hard work, and deserves a thanks. The Site Moderators, aren't just banning, promoting, demoting members there is allot more than that. They ban there own friends sometimes and that is rough. They get hundred of emails a day dealing with awards, problems,to talk, basically everything in the book. Also when they work so hard to bring something or some people in and it fails. They get not thank you for trying, but they still do there position. Some of the old staff went through allot, and people do not realize it. Newer staff might say it is easy, depending how it has been so far. Community Moderators go through posts and posts to find something wrong or spam Or anything a threat, or harmful to other users in this forum. They have to give manual awards, like the Facebook, YouTube, Twitter awards, and that gets very tiring I am sure. The staff go through allot, and it doesn't seem like it But they actually do and I will tell you what each one does. The Art Department gets loads of requests from, profile pictures to signatures to banners. They are not rewarded and they bought Photoshop,Gimp and all these other software. Do they get paid for buying a 40-80$ program than making signatures and profile pictures for free? No. So thank them every time, and do not overkill it with signatures. The news group goes through allot to, and if you didn't know, it is hard work. Finding news, writing the source, collecting information, and analyzing what you got before you publish. When I first became news I loved the position, it was my favorite thing to do, but no thanks from anybody. I would create 2-4 or maybe more articles a day , and no likes or comments, and even in the shout box you get blown off. I do not wanna sound like I am attacking anybody, but what I am trying to say is, the staff work incredibly hard to keep this website balanced. I would mention other staff groups, but they are inactive right now kinda. Here are some interviews I did over the week, and this is what some staff/ ex staff have to say. RedStarRocket91 As for my job on-site, for the most part I handle any big announcements on the site, as well as planning and organising Community Events. I also do a fair bit of general moderator stuff, like checking through reports, reading through the forums, and promoting topics of interest. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The Director My last staff position was Community Moderator. It wasn't tough, not very. It just demanded a lot of time, something that I no longer have very much of. The toughest part of it was deciding whether or not someone deserved a ban or just a warning. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Total Mayh3m Being a moderator can fill you with joy, sadness, frustration, and at times regret. But it all is for the better good of the forum. You constantly have to go through every topic and every post to make sure that what is going into the forum is appropriate and not spam. It gets tiring and you get mentally tired of having to go through everything. You also have to look at all the reports and use your better judgement on what to do. The moderators now have it east compared to back when Halo 4 got released... and even before. We have filters now that prevent about 99% of spambots from getting through the forum, where before we didn't have that feature and had to pry the spambot accounts out. I remember stumbling across a thread where the last 10-12 posts were nothing but spambot posts... and not one got reported. It almost seemed like the spambots were talking to each other. Anyways... you also have keep an eye on the members and what they are doing. I've seen high profile members get banned because they tried to get around the rules, or decided to ignore the rules. There is no way around it. We have had members get banned from the forum... make a new account to sneak back in... get banned again... and so on and so fourth. I've seen staff members fall from grace before and get banned or leave the forum... but there are reasons behind it. I've seen a lot on the forum, it is not all pretty. One tough thing to do is having to moderate those that you consider friends on the forum. You don't want that responsibility.. but you have it and it is something you have to do. I had to, and believe me... it wasn't easy. You can not imagine how much planning and discussion goes behind the scenes to ensure that the forum runs smoothly and that there are things for everyone to do. It is not a walk in the park as we have to make sure that everyone is in agreement. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Spectral Jester He has told me not reveal his interview, but I will speak for him. Many newer members do not realize what he has done, and I just wanna say he was a Site Moderator who did allot for this website. Behind the scenes he did so much, and he needs to be appreciated. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Bob I wouldn't refer to my time as a mod as being "rough". I imagine being a mod now-a-days is "rough" I left due to my internet access at that time, which was very little. I still don't have much time to myself even today. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Absolute Dog I will talk for him He is a hard working moderator, and has created many contests, events, and keeps this website running safe and sound, and has been a main supporter for a long time. He is a old member along with some of the others I listed. Make sure you give him a Thanks Some staff didn't want there interview revealed. So I hope you realize now what the staff of this forum go through to keep this site in balance. Even though it seems like a easy position it actually is not.

D-38 Boss
I always knew there was more going on then I realized, but I'd like to say this, and I'm sure several people here would agree: I'd lay down my own money at this point if the Site needed it in a pinch. It's become a daily routine for me, stopping in to see what's been going on, and I consider many on this site my friends. SO KNOW THIS! Ya'll people doing some cray stuff, yo. keep on truckin'.

The Stig
I have not yet been a member here long enough to see the site through its highs and lows... I have not gotten to know every single person nor understand, let alone comprehend how important their roles are here... And I do not deserve to speak for anybody. But I know that all of those who frequently visit the this place, love it and you guys for making it all possible. It is not a right that we are all given to be a part of this site... It is a gift, a blessing, a miracle. This place has a special meaning to me... Its like a home away from home, A place where I can not feel judged, let out my emotions and let the world know my ideas. But it is also a place where I can learn a lot, and make many new friends (and rivals). And even get into a respectful debate or two along the way...I may not say it or show it enough, but I am truly and sincerely grateful to be a member here. I would give all the thanks that one could give in a lifetime, and it would still never show how happy I am to be a part of all of this. I salute all those who made it possible, and commend those that work hard to maintain it, I will do everything in my power, until the day I die (Get banned/Am forced to leave on my own accord/Etc.) to help! To all those I have ever offended, creeped out, scared or otherwise insulted in any way, shape or form, I apologize. I truly do apologize profusely. I want to be friends, with anyone and everyone, and will do all I can to be your friend. So to those that don't like me, I am sorry but I am not giving up on trying to be your friend so easily! Anyways thank you all for everything. Thank you Dog, Absolute Dog, RedStarRocket91, The Director, Total Mayh3m, Spectral Jester, and Bob. Thank you everyone. I wish you all the best of luck, and hope you all succeed here and in life! Your all in my prayers! Best Wishes See you all around, my friends!

BreMerie93
I give major props to those who run this site. I know first hand how much effort it takes to run a site and I can say that each and everyone of you who puts in any kind of effort on this site is making a difference in the outcome of this community. For how many people you have that are actually active on your forum and actually put forth some effort into staying loyal to your community...it takes a lot to keep track of everyone and it takes a lot of combined enthusiasm to keep things running smoothly everywhere within this community. I have not been on here much over the last couple of weeks since I have joined, but it does not take much to see how much time everyone (even the community members themselves) has devoted to make this community what it is today. Congratulations to everyone! :] You are a major role model for other aspiring sites out there.

ShockGazm
Keep up the damn fine work! Being a MOD is quite the dedicated role, best of luck running the place. And, I'm grateful I don't have some random computerized woman on the bottom right of my screen asking me for a good time on some fake MSN chat thing... you know what I mean. Seriously though, you're all doing a bang up job.
