Popular Post VinWarrior
A clipping was recently revealed of never before seen artwork in a waypoint bulletin. The article explained that this was for "little game project we’re tinkering with…" and I thought it would be good to analyze the image and this small patch of detail. A noticeable object in the image for starters, is the massive infinity hovering above what looks like a base. The infinity seems to be surrounded by what look like Pelicans. Below, we see what seems like a large base of operations, with a radio tower nearby. This base and it's surroundings actually look very familiar, similar to the base you build in Halo Wars, with different sections like factories and radio towers. This image could be a clear hint at another Halo Wars, but in the new saga of Halo's setting. You can see multiple humanoid figures below in the bottom middle. It is clear these are human soldiers and not covenant, as their walking posture and body shape differ immensely from that of a grunt or brute. The architecture of the buildings stands out the most though, reminding us of the DLC map, Skyline with a shiny metal coating and sleek gloss, unlike the gritty green makeshift cabins of the UNSC, is it possible this is a rebel base? Or even a makeshift rebel town or village? Finally, we notice a shape above, that looks like a piece of the image was cut out, correct? Compare this to the shape of a halo ring. Very similar in detail and form, correct? And finally, the small line of info we got, and how this is just "little game project we’re tinkering with…" This one line gives more detail then anything. It proves this is not the next chapter in the Halo trilogy, and it is a small test project, and not the final route, making way for a Halo Wars sequel as the only option, since Halo 2 Anniversary would contain no hint of the Infinity. Buns
Very nice analysis but perhaps the structure above is even bigger than the infinity? Perhaps this is a new setting in Halo Xbox One they're tinkering with and not a new game?
Sadly Just AL
The graphics and vastness of the environments already appears impeccably improved and very intense. I already like what is being done with it. :
Buns
I posted this earlier on here, but it did not show up. It did show up, but OMEGA is providing an analysis and is provoking discussion alongside the news. You just provided the news. The graphics and vastness of the environments already appears impeccably improved and very intense. I already like what is being done with it. :3 It does seem like a tense scenario a lot of darker tones in the picture.
Yoshi1176
That picture is very cool, It looks very industrial. It looks like they are constructing something, when you mentioned the Halo wars thing it makes a little sense. It looks like the electricity that comes from the vehicle depot when a vehicle is being constructed in Halo wars. Great find.
Adam91
A great piece of art, it definitely confronts you will many questions, great post Kenway! It could very well mean that it is the next installment to the main games just as much as anything else, Josh could simply just be teasing or being discreet in a humorous way. They probably wouldn't go flat out and say it's for Halo 5 despite we all know it's coming and that this is nothing more than a piece of concept art so it's not really spoiling anything but they still don't like to be too up front about it this early, many game companies are like that and 343 have been like that before. It doesn't prove it is a small project but if it is why would it be a halo wars sequel? Could be another odst, or something completely new like taking on the role of a spartan 4 or something. It could be anything main game project or small project but the image doesn't prove anything yet.

They did expand the reclaimer trilogy to a reclaimer saga so it could very well be Halo: Jedi Robes, and not Halo 5.

Caboose The Ace
This could mean Halo wars 2 finally if it is I will regain some of my faith in 343i if it is Halo 5 concept art then at least we are seeing something.
BeckoningZebra1
Excellent analysis Omega, great job. If you look into the background, you'll notice it looks to be the exact same terrain as the planet that Chief was walking on in the E3 trailer. Regardless of what game they're showing off the artwork looks amazing, and who knows we could be getting an RPG-style Halo!
Drizzy_Dan
Great post OMEGA I'm dying to see a new Halo Wars and with the Kinect 2 it should be very interesting.
Jack Of Harts
I'm holding a LOT of hope for the new Halo titles. I've always loved Halo and will continue to love it. Long live 343 Industries!
WonderWombat
The graphics and vastness of the environments already appears impeccably improved and very intense. I already like what is being done with it. :3 That's not a screenshot, just a picture made on photoshop or something. Anyways somethings I noticed. Near those few people walking there is an 'Open TO GO' sign and a 'BOLD OPEN' sign. (don't know if it is bold, gold, or sold) At the end of the curvy building there is a down arrow that says change. Those guys are walking near some type of scrap looking building. Gives me a feeling that this is some base with nothing really happening, like a hub of sorts. Wonder if it will be like a central location in an 'open world' setting. And by that I mean that base is open world, then there are several small open world locations you can get to from there.
