The Guta and Moa

Alright so today I am going to talk about two creatures on Halo Reach. Not a lot of people really talk about these animals, so I thought I would start up a topic.

The Guta - Halo Reach

The Guta is the largest terrestrial lifeform discovered on Reach. Severe aggression is rare, outside mating males or females with young. Even so, it is an extremely dangerous animal. The Guta is likely carnivorous due to its large tusks and claws and powerful musculature and agility. It is remarkably durable, requiring three to four shotgun blasts and an equal number of melee attacks to kill it on the Normal difficulty. The Guta is even more resilient on the Heroic and Legendary difficulties. However, one plasma grenade will kill it regardless of difficulty, so letting it come to you before sticking it will make things easier. Also a sniper shot to the eye of the Guta will kill it in one hit, even on Legendary difficulty.

The Moa - Halo Reach

Moa were an extraterrestrial species native to Reach. They are large flightless xeno-avians that resemble extinct Earth-based Moa. They seem to have feathered bodies and scales from the neck up, leading up to a very lizard-like head. The Moa are presumed to be edible and consumed by Humans on Reach. The New Alexandria fast food restaurant World Cuisine had an advertisement promoting Moa burgers, priced at 7.77cR. These Moas were most likely domesticated and farmed for food.
