The Director Posted September 23, 2011 Report Share Posted September 23, 2011 On this day, 9/23/2011, I am going to call it. I think that the enemy on Halo 4 is going to be Forerunner. Flood Forerunner, that is. I've heard speculation about the tech being forerunner, but to me it doesn't really make sense for the forerunners to want to kill Master Chief. Or any of the other species that they saved from extinction the first time the rings fired. This is why I'm saying that they are flood forerunners. Forerunners infected by the flood. In my convoluted mind, this makes a great deal of sense. Perhaps a forerunner ship made it to the edge of the ring's blast area, and so survived without realizing they had a few spores on board. Perhaps the flood took a forerunner ship after realizing what they planned to do and sped off and survived. There are too many variables for 100% certainty, but my bet is going on Flood infested Forerunners. True 'nuff. Regarding Floodified Forerunners… Mmmehhhh I suppose the possibility is there. I'd consider this more likely than the theory of the Timeless One (Precursor) guy that vanished after his prison door was left ajar after the Master Builder test-fired a titanic space hula-hoop near the planet it was on.
