343 Disappointment

I really would appreciate HONEST comments on this following entry - furthermore I must confess I'm largely ignorant on online Halo 4 discussion.  However having said that I will complain about the current Halo game we're playing.......I strongly feel this halo has been terribly inaccurate in gameplay (in so far as multiplayer is concerned - I have no problems with campaign).  Whether it is false algorithms controlling the bullets that clearly did NOT hit me or the lag hacking pieces of poo that 343 has yet to govern, or even just the general lag that makes it impossible to run 10 feet.....it matters not in the least to me - the consumer.  I will be the first to admit when a player genuinely out-skills me (it happens quite often), however don't show me on the screen what the Halo server doesn't deem true.  This issue cannot be limited to either extreme - veteran players or newbies alike.  So in summary I pose this question to all Halo 4 players (coming from a 1st generation Halo player through Reach) - do you feel your routine multiplayer game experience with Halo 4 is anything as I just described?

Sounds like my experience with Halo 2 and Halo CE PC.

My experience with Halo 4 has been better connection then that at least.

Congratulations, you are the 1 millionth member to call Halo 4 out, do you know what you win? This:

See, it's nothing. Anyways, unto your problems, I never experience lag like this, and lag-switches are quite uncommon (in my experience at least) as Xbox's servers are incredibly stable. Also 343i has people being banned everyday, and it's hard and risky to hack on consoles, so seems like you hit a rare jackpot considering I haven't met a console hacker in ages.

Check your router, my old one was glitchy and my multiplayer sucked, believe me, it's not 343i. Also, this is a community forum, complaining here really won't do much besides attract attention from the moderating team if it's taken to an extreme.

Hmm... I didn't notice any issues. Is this just because you're sad that your parents can only afford Dial-Up internet? ;) Don't worry, I've been there done that in that aspect.

Like he said I haven't seen a Hacker in a long time. It is most likely your connection because I have not had any problems with lag besides the first week but that was all fixed.

I keep saying, make the "Community Forum" at the top of the page white and in a bigger font. ^_^

Regarding the point of this thread, I will say that I'm too a little disappointing with Halo 4, hence why I don't play it anymore but also as I mentioned before... complaining about the game now and posting it on the forums isn't going to solve or do anything. I understand why people say it, especially the majority of people that call out the game in a bad way but ultimately it follow the path to nowhere.

EDIT: Community Forum

Um. Wow. Your post was just a little ignorant dude. I mean Halo 4 imo has had no problems with hackers or the like in my time of playing the game. Like people said maybe it's your connection.

THIS IS A COMMUNITY FORUM.

This is not a place where you come and complain. But I will leave our wonderful mod team to help with that sire. Keep Calm and Halo on.

These are really your problems.

Concerning them with others is a waste of our time and your time.

As you can see, pretty much everybody who replied disagreed with you in every way, so...

Yeah.

It's sad to see a senior member being so rude to a new guy. I hope your attitude changes, because we're a community that helps others and offers opinions, not one that tells them to get lost and keep their problems to themselves.

Let me just make it clear that he did not state anywhere in his OP that he thinks that we are HaloWaypoint or an official Halo forum. It's to my understanding that he actually knows we are not.

DD, I understand this. I was just making a point in general. And sorry about my colors. I fixed them but yeah.

To your issue OP, it is unfortunate that you've run into issues. I've never personally had hard evidence that I've ever met a hacker, though in many games I've had moments when I claim that people are, that being said though I think it's best to just avoid pairing up with them and just use the XBL report system to report for hacking anyways. Test your internet connection and maybe open up certain ports to allow the Xbox to get a better connection if that helps, the silly Host System makes every game lag, that lag could be tiny or really noticeable. Lag is always there and you must adapt to it and learn how to play when it's noticeably occurring, which is a skill in its own right.
I know all about lag since I live in Australia and our connection is some of the worst for gaming due to the low speeds and that we're far away from the majority of all gamers, so I feel your pain, but you mustn't get angry over it.

To all members bashing OP, I did expect more from senior members. We accept all members who love the game or who are disappointed with it. There is no reason to why someone should be shunned away because they are having issues with it and spent their time asking the Halo community for their opinion on it.

I would like to respond directly to our fellow New member. Hello 343sucksabigone, welcome to our humble forums, if people would stop being so hateful right now. But I do understand what you are talking about. I have had similar moments myself. But do please do take in mind it isn't all of 343's fault. Sure they own the game but the server lags aren't their fault it's like blaming Obama for terrorism to exist. You're so worked up on the game you are blaming the person in charge. Yea I agree with your statement, but please don't be arrogant to the one in charge, it's not logical.

I hope you understand in no way was I trying to blast OP. I was trying to say something else. I understand his issue. I was just trying to say you guys could take care of it.

Even though I agree with you, I would put a bet down that a lot of people who post topics such as these as their first post don't stay on this forum long and never come back to it or at least rarely come back to it. And, have you seen that guys username? 343sucksabigone I mean, are you serious. How can you take a member seriously when their first post is taking about how bull**** halo is (I'm leaving out the specifics but you know what I mean) and then posts with that username.

This isn't really a question of making a new member feel welcome, this is a question of that new members first impression. How can anyone, especially a Mod expect a fellow member to respect someone who's first comment is bashing the game for whatever reason but if that's not enough, just using the username I mentioned above. I agree that people are welcome to criticize a game, by all means, freedom of speech and all that, I'm not the boss. But, honestly, if you were going to be a true member, you'd post a nice introduction about yourself and then try and become a known member throughout the forums by posting, attending game nights and being a nice guy/gal in general.

At least he didn't post in the introductions. But, this topic has come up so many times, it's becoming repetitive. I mean, it just seems people join this forum to complain about Halo 4, why? I mean, I joined because I wanted to meet new people and join a nice new community, not to bash on Halo.

Also, if that guy does know this isn't 343i but rather a forum, I'll apologize now and if he truly does want to be a member among this community forum we/I welcome you, but the past couple of member have simply joined to complain about Halo, it's getting repetitive and it's obvious they don't want to be a member, just complain about the game when that person should know that nothing they say will fix their issues here at this community forum. Sorry, if I come of stingy but I have to mention this, I'm not going to sugar coat this.

Thanks for your honesty. Your right. People make accounts make accounts to bash a Halo. Does it make it right? No. But as a forum we have to embrace them anyways. A member is a member. We have to make them feel welcome.

Some of the comments on here, damn guys, I thought we were better than this.

Anyway, lag is an issue coming from YOU, not the server, restarting your internet and stuff like that will help solve the issue, as it is because of lag that you are experiencing shots that miss/hit.

Its not the game's fault, its your connection at the end of the day.

Welcome to the forums, may want to change your name though :)

Get a better connection. This will solve most, if not all of your problems. Also, when you say "false algorithms controlling the bullets that clearly did NOT hit me", are you referring to the Deathcams? The Deathcams are incredibly inaccurate in Halo 4, as when I went back in Theatre to check the footage (As on the deathcams, it looked like they weren't hitting me at all) it looked completely legitimate. I have come across very few hackers or lag-switchers in Halo 4, and people get banned for using software exploits like these.

THIS IS MY FAULT. I WILL TAKE THE BLAME.

I said the wrong thing in the wrong way. I was just angry at the OP's understanding.

To Spyro and Biggles,

It was rude to post what I said, so I am sorry. Spyro, I realize that I should be welcoming to new members instead of shutting them down.
