Caboose The Ace
Unknown at this point I can be guessed sometime after Halo 5 comes out.
Shun 'Kanamee
Unknown at this point I can be guessed sometime after Halo 5 comes out. If halo 5 is good and feels nostalgic I would not care if halo 3 is dead
Ardent Prayer
I loved Halo 3's multiplayer. It was so perfect. If it ends, I hope Halo 5's multiplayer lives up to how good Halo 3's was.

ShockGazm
All I know is, when it does happen... it's going to be a very sad and depressing day. Halo 3 is my all time favorite video game. Edited March 29, 2014 by ShockGazm
The Stig
Trust me... It won't be until loooong after Halo 6... (So around the year range of 2017-2018). More or less. So, no need to worry! Edited March 15, 2014 by The Stig

AnimeAddict
well there is still a decent population so my guess its still got a bit but if that happens ill just go to Reach

Connor Kenway
Halo 3 has lasted longer than H2 if I remember correctly H2 lasted 6 years and 3 is already nearly into it's 7th if you go by release date
Coldfreeze
I liked Halo 3 more than Reach though. Reach had some rather strange glitches and I really hated bloom. Still I think in matter of mp I liked Halo 3 first and Halo 4 as a close second. Reach using maps from SP missions, was somewhat strange. Still reach had way better immersion in MP just because of that.
Mr Biggles
It'll probably be remade for XB1, so, wouldn't have to wait that long.
Richard John Wilson
I liked Halo 3 Multiplayer Matchmaking, but it is almost impossible to play now. Not sure if it is due to lack of servers, but it is just a lag fest. I miss the game online, but it will be no great shock to me if it is closed down. Besides, I can wait for the Anniversary Edition. Or the Xbox One Edition, depending how it is re done.
Twinreaper
Halo 2 ended because the Live version changed. Halo 3 along with ODST will likely see an EOL sometime around the release of Halo 5. Financially and resource usage wise, it would not make sense to keep 5 different versions all running along side eachother. And depwnding on when they decide to EOL 360 Live support, it could potentially end somewhere in the 2-3 year range. I will say, after going back and playing H3 MM, it doesnt feel the same as it did when I played it all those years ago. It just feels so slow and sloppy compared to when I boot up Halo 2 PC. Crashtator
Some nights I boot the game up and it has 10,000 people! Other nights 3,000! Hell, a couple weeks ago there was 20,000 online!!!
rrhuntington
In any case, It's going to be one very sad day when they relinquish Live Service on the 360. So many memories. I even think it's sad when you stare at a desolate MP map. You know there were many great moments and battles and fun times in that game, on that map, but the memories can no longer be made, and you can only hear the wind and an echo of past days on the maps. Sort of like a ghost town. Reminds of when I would play Halo 2 on the original Xbox and just explore the maps by myself. It had never been so quiet...Woah...Where'd that come from? misterchief1996
I don't know when but sometime soon I could see them closing the servers unfortunately :/

ODST N Tarkov
I'm guessing in a year or so, but if you get the MCC you will still be able to play Halo 3.
Caboose The Ace
Halo 3 360 will shut down when Xbl 360 shuts down. That wont be for a few years.
